Abstract

Profenofos merupakan salah satu jenis insektisida organofosfat. Kebaruan penelitian ini karena menganalisis secara kuantitatif residu pestisida profenofos pada kubis (Brassica oleracea) dengan metode kromatografi gas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar residu pestisida propenofos yang terdapat dalam kubis. Sampel diambil dari Kota Palopo, Sulawesi Selatan dan diekstraksi menggunakan metode QuEChERS dan dianalisis dengan alat GC/MS. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kimia Farmasi Universitas Muhammadiyah Palopo. Pada penelitian ini di gunakan ekstrak kubis (Brassica oleracea) media control yang terlebih dahulu mengalami tiga perlakuan yang berbeda, yaitu: kubis tidak dicuci, kubis dicuci dengan air mengalir dan kubis dicuci dengan detergen pencuci sayuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kubis tidak dicuci terdeteksi mengandung residu pestisida profenofos dengan kadarnya 0,219 mg/kg, kubis dicuci dengan air mengalir terdeteksi mengandung residu pestisida profenofos dengan kadarnya 0,037 mg/kg dan pada kubis yang dicuci dengan detergen pencuci sayuran tidak terdeteksi mengandung residu pestisida profenofos. Kadar residu pestisida ini tidak melewati batas maksimum residu pestisida profenofos dalam kubis (BMR) yang ditetapkan oleh SNI 7313,2008 yaitu 1mg/kg. Kesimpulannya terbukti sampel kubis yang telah dicuci dengan air mengalami penurunan residu pestisida dan pencucian dengan menggunakan detergen pencuci sayuran terbukti lebih besar mengalami penurunan residu pestisida.Kata kunci: Brassica oleracea; Kromatografi gas; Profenofos; Residu pestisida. AbstractProfenofos is a type of organophosphate insecticide. The novelty of this study is due to quantitatively analyzing the residues of Profenofos pesticides on cabbage (Brassica oleracea) by the gas chromatography method. This study aims to determine the residual levels of Propenofos pesticides in cabbage. Samples were taken from Palopo City, South Sulawesi, extracted using the QuEChERS method and analyzed with the GC/MS. The research tool was carried out at the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory of Muhammadiyah Palopo University. In this study, cabbage extract (Brassica oleracea) was used as a control medium which first underwent three different treatments: cabbage was not washed, cabbage was washed under running water, and cabbage was washed with vegetable washing detergent. The results showed that unwashed cabbage was detected to contain Profenofos pesticide residues with a level of 0.219 mg/kg, cabbage washed with running water was seen to have Profenofos pesticide residues with a group of 0.037 mg/kg, and cabbage washed with vegetable washing detergent was not detected to contain Profenofos pesticide residues. The residual level of this pesticide does not exceed the maximum limit of Profenofos pesticide residue in cabbage (BMR) set by SNI 7313.2008, which is 1mg/kg. In conclusion, it was proven that cabbage samples that had been washed with water had a decrease in pesticide residues, and washing using vegetable washing detergents was shown to have a more significant reduction of pesticide residues.Keywords: Brassica oleracea; Gas chromatography; Profenofos; Pesticide residues.

Abstract

INCREASING CAPACITY OF FARMERS THROUGH PEST AND DISEASE CONTROL AND UTILIZATION OF HOME YARDS BASED ON LOCAL POTENTIAL IN CAMBO VILLAGE. Kambo Village is one of the agricultural and plantation commodities (durian, langsat, rambutan, cloves, cocoa, pepper, lemongrass, galangal and kecomrang). However, the problem experienced is the lack of guidance and assistance activities related to the types of commodities being cultivated, which impact the productivity of agricultural things that are relatively not optimal. The purpose of the activity is to produce capacity building activities through counselling and assistance in controlling pests and diseases of plantation crops (cloves and durian) and short-term crop cultivation (vegetables) in utilizing home yardland. The method used is lecture, discussion and direct practice. The preparation of activities was carried out by inviting community representatives who were members of farmer groups and women's farmer groups. The selected activity participants are then coordinated with the village government to facilitate the program's implementation. The benefits felt by the participants after participating in the activity were an increase in knowledge, understanding and skills both in terms of controlling clove and durian plant pests and vegetable cultivation techniques in the context of utilizing the gardens of the members of the farmers' houses.

Abstract

Background: Currently, the Indonesian people are shocked by the scarcity of cooking oil. Demand increases yearly along with the population, making cooking oil an important commodity and essential to the Indonesian economy. The composition of broiler chicken skin contains oil. If this oil is processed into cooking oil, it will be able to overcome environmental pollution so that the broiler fat skin waste has economic value. However, the feasibility of making it a substitute for packaged cooking oil is not yet known, so further research is needed to determine its safety and feasibility.Objectives: This study aims to determine the feasibility of cooking oil from chicken skin and the free fatty acid content of cooking oil from chicken skin.Methods: The research method was experimental. The research began with the purchase of chicken skin samples from the traditional Palopo City market. Furthermore, research was carried out at the Pharmacy Laboratory of Muhammmadiyah University of Palopo, which was carried out in 2022. The primary sample of this research is chicken skin. The sample was roasted in a pan until it released oil. Then standardization of 0,05 N NaOH solution was carried out, after which free fatty acid content was determined.Results: Organoleptical test results on the two different cooking oil samples showed differences in odor, color and pH. Furthermore, it was found that the effect caused by high fatty acid levels on the production feasibility standards of oil will produce rancidity in oil and increase cholesterol levels in oil.Conclusion: Cooking oil produced by chicken skin does not meet the standards for the feasibility of use. This is due to the value of the presentation of free fatty acids, and the acidity number does not meet the applicable cooking oil quality standards.

Abstract

Background: ABC-VEN analysis is a effective method for evaluating drug needs because it can determine priority drug planning based on cost and therapy. However, not all Pharmacy Installation have implemented this method, one of that is The Pharmacy Installation of “Y” Hospital in Palopo City. Objective: To evaluate drug planning at Pharmacy Installation of “Y” Hospital using the ABC-VEN analysis so that, the investment value for drug procurement is suitable with the budget and meets drug needs in the hospital. Methods: The research is combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The instruments used are the form of data collection sheets for drug use for the period September-November 2022 and interview guidelines. Results:Out of a total of 626 drug items used in September-November 2022, 11%, 81%, 9% of drug items were included in the priority, main, and additional categories which spent the budget respectively 17%, 81% and 2% of total budget. Conclusion: With the application of the ABC-VEN analysis method, the drug supply budget can be saved by reducing the number of drugs or substituting drugs by finding suppliers that offer lower prices, especially in the NA, NB, and NC categories.

Abstract

Patients who have had an examination at the polyclinic will get medicine at the pharmacy, especially outpatients. The pharmacy installation is the last unit that determines the quality of hospital services, so the quality of pharmacy installation services will affect other related units. This study aims to identify value and waste with the Lean Thinking approach in pharmaceutical services, especially during waiting times, the time lag patients receive when submitting a prescription to receiving the prescribed drug. This part has 4 indicators: waiting time for finished drug service ≤ 30 minutes and concoction drugs ≤ 60 minutes, no drug administration errors 100%, customer satisfaction ≥ 80%, and prescription writing according to the formulary 100%. This research used a qualitative approach using the observational action process research method using the lean thinking method to photograph the process flow of outpatient pharmacy services conducted from mid-November to December 2022 in hospital X City of Palopo. The sample was 15 people who would receive the drug and conducted structured in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using Excel with lean thinking. The study is categorized as lean and proposed improvements to the management support section. Lean thinking can create effective and efficient pharmaceutical governance in improving service quality.

Abstract

Disinfectants are known as substances  that can kill pathogens in the environment. Disinfectants are used in hospitals, homes and often used to inhibit the proliferation of harmful bacteria and germs. The large number of disinfectants circulating in the community today makes people less aware of and know which disinfectant is good and has the best effectiveness of killing bacteria. Therefore testing the efficacy of several active disinfectant substances was carried out to show the most effective disinfectant to use, thus provided information and comprehension to the public about the most effective disinfectants to kill bacteria that could be used to inhibit the proliferation of harmful bacteria and germs. This research has never been done before. The method used was the inoculating Escherichia Coli bacteria on sodium media to solidify a continuous spread plate. The disc paper dipped in a disinfectant solution (70% alcohol, 5% Lysol, iodine, and 5% hypochlorite) was placed on the Nutrient Agar media, incubated for 48 hours at 370C. The measurement was taken of the diameter of the formed inhibition zone. Of the four treatments with four active disinfectant substances used, the one that gives the most antimicrobial effect is the 5% hypochlorite active substance; the extent of the inhibition zone obtained indicates this.

Abstract

Salah satu aspek krusial dalam proses manajemen persediaan obat ialah tahap evaluasi perencanaan obat. Kombinasi metode ABC-VEN merupakan salah satu metode evaluasi rencana kebutuhan obat yang sangat efektif karena dapat menentukan prioritas perencanaan obat berdasarkan segi biaya dan terapi. Namun, belum semua instalasi farmasi rumah sakit (IFRS) menerapkan metode ini, salah satunya IFRSUD Sawerigading Kota Palopo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi perencanaan obat dengan metode analisis ABC-VEN di IFRSUD Sawerigading Kota Palopo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar pengumpul data penggunaan obat periode September-November 2022 serta pedoman wawancara. Dari total 626 item obat yang digunakan dalam periode September-November 2022, 19.33%, 72.84%, dan 7.93% item obat masuk dalam kategori I, II, dan III yang menghabiskan biaya masing-masing sebesar 77.91%, 21.79%, dan 0.30% dari total keseluruhan biaya. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa dengan penerapan metode analisis ABC-VEN, anggaran pengadaan persediaan obat dapat dihemat melalui pengurangan jumlah atau mengganti obat dengan jenis dan khasiat yang sama dengan cara berfokus pada pemasok yang menawarkan harga yang lebih murah.

Abstract

Pemberian tablet tambah darah pada remaja putri minimal 60 mg zat besi elemental (dalam bentuk sediaan furamat atau Ferro Glukonat) dan 0,50 mg asam folat pada remaja putri usia 12-18 tahun di institusi pendidikan (SMP dan SMA atau sederajat) dan untu wanita subur (WUS) usia 15-49 tahun. Meskipun presentase remaja putri yang mendapat tablet tambah darah di Sulawesi Tenggara mencapai 81 %, tetapi masih ada tantangan dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan. penyuluhan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap tingkat kepatuhan remaja putri dalam mengkonsumsi tablet Fe di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bungi Kota Baubau tahun 2024. Rancangan penyuluhan ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan jenis pre experimental design dimana subjek yaitu remaja putri di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bungi Kota Baubau. Metode pengumpulan data dengan cara pemberian scoring untuk pertanyaan kepatuhan yang diukur menggunakan skala guttman dengan pemberian bobot pada setiap pertanyaan kuesioner selama 1 minggu. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah Analisa data univariat dan bivariat dengan langkah-langkah mereduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan, didapatkan hasil ada pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap tingkat kepatuhan remaja putri dalam mengkonsumsi tablet Fe di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bungi Kota Baubau tahun 2024, dengan nilai PValue = 0,00 < 0,05 yang artinya Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Saran dalam penyuluhan ini agar remaja putri lebih aktif mengikuti program penyuluhan tentang kesehatan, khususnya terkait dengan pentingnya konsumsi tablet Fe, menerapkan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari penyuluhan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk mengonsumsi tablet Fe secara teratur dan sesuai anjuran.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the in vitro Sun Protection Factor (SPF) value of sunscreen formulations containing vetiver essential oil (Vetiveria zizanioides) at various concentrations. Vetiver essential oil is known to possess various biological activities, including potential as a UV protective agent. Oil-in-water emulsion-based sunscreen formulations were prepared with varying concentrations of vetiver essential oil (1%, 3%, and 5% v/v). The SPF value was determined spectrophotometrically using the in vitro method. The physicochemical characteristics of the formulations (viscosity and pH) were also evaluated. The results showed that the addition of vetiver essential oil tended to significantly increase the SPF value of the sunscreen formulations with increasing concentration. The formulation with a 5% concentration of vetiver essential oil exhibited the highest SPF value. The physicochemical characteristics of the formulations were still within the acceptable range for topical preparations. This research indicates the potential of vetiver essential oil as a natural UV protective agent in sunscreen formulations.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that is a big challenge in Indonesia, with a prevalence of 30.8% in 2018. The main cause of stunting is zinc deficiency, affecting the growth and development of children. Yellow pumpkin seeds are known to be rich in zinc content and can be used as an alternative source of zinc to prevent stunting in children. The purpose of the study is to make an innovation of Gummy Candy zinc yellow pumpkin seeds as an alternative to supplementation in Stunting, To test the evaluation of the physical and safe characteristics of Gummy Candy zinc zinc pumpkin seeds as an alternative to supplementation in stunted children. The research method uses an experimental with a quantitative approach. The results of the evaluation test of the physical characteristics of Gummy Candy preparations were obtained that the preparation has good characteristics seen from the attractive shape, chewy texture, slightly sour and sweet taste. The weight uniformity test did not deviate from the test and the pH test 4 was met for the pH of the Gummy Candy preparation which was 4-5. The zinc level test in the Gummy Candy made showed the presence of zinc contained in the preparation. Conclusion Gummy Candy zinc yellow pumpkin seeds as an alternative to supplementation in stunted children using 2 bases, namely gelatin and carrageenan printed with the shape of a heart, producing a preparation product that can attract children's attention, Giving processed products of yellow pumpkin seeds can increase the status of zinc in children at risk of stunting.
