Abstract

Exploring the implementation of an early childhood friendly school environment at the al-Husan KB is the main priority in this research. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods by means of observation, interviews, documentation, and data triangulation as data collection techniques. The results are: 1) Al-Husna's child-friendly environment is able to provide facilities and infrastructure that can meet the needs of children to grow and develop without any obstacles, feeling safe and comfortable. A child-friendly environment is a place that can support children's rights being fulfilled without any obstacles or threats. The inhibiting factor for its implementation is that parental intervention, which is allowed to wait in the school environment, means that children often have difficulty moving around to play at the yard.

Abstract

The MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) curriculum aims to improve higher education institutions' ability to produce graduates ready to face challenges in modern technology, science, and society. This study aims to evaluate the MBKM undergraduate Islamic Early Childhood Education (PIAUD) curriculum, focusing on its alignment with the needs of Raudatul Atfal (RA) institutions. Questionnaires were distributed to selected RA institutions using a comprehensive evaluation process. Most of the feedback indicated that the curriculum met professional standards very well, although there were some differences of opinion. A thorough analysis of the responses showed that most stakeholders appreciated the benefits of the curriculum but noted some inconsistencies in its relevance and pointed out areas for improvement. The curriculum aligns with industry expectations and can serve as a model for other programs. The study confirms its effectiveness and provides insights for education policymakers adapting to changing industry standards.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelestarian budaya melalui pengenalan batik sejak usia dini menjadi langkah penting dalam membentuk pemahaman dan apresiasi terhadap warisan budaya bangsa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan Batik Banten Indonesia dan Batik Malaysia kepada anak-anak di TADIKA UPSI melalui kegiatan membatik yang edukatif dan menyenangkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif dengan tahapan sosialisasi, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung membatik menggunakan media kain mori dan pewarna. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak antusias dan mampu mengenali motif khas dari kedua negara, serta menunjukkan ketertarikan tinggi dalam proses membatik. Pembahasan menekankan pentingnya pendekatan edukatif yang interaktif untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman budaya lintas negara sejak dini. Disarankan agar kegiatan serupa dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan melibatkan lebih banyak unsur budaya untuk memperkaya pengalaman belajar anak.

Abstract

Salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh guru agar menghasilkan anak yang berkualitas adalah kompetensi pedagogik, yang mana salah satu aspeknya yaitu guru mampu melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran, melakukan pengajaran dan penilaian sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena hasil studi pendahuluan yang menunjukan bahwa penguasaan mengajar kosakata guru belum optimal dan guru perlu dikembangkan dan ditingkatkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan penguasaan mengajar kosakata guru menggunakan metode coaching. Penelitian ini adalah sebuah penelitian tindakan kolaboratif yang dilakukan disebuah sekolah taman kanak- kanak bilingual di Kota Bandung yang melibatkan seorang guru kelas TK A. Data pada penelitian ini didapatkan lewat wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Setelah proses coaching dilakukan guru mampu untuk melakukan perencanaan dan persiapan pembelajaran, menggunakan flashcards sebagai media mengajar kosakata dan menerapkan permainan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the principal in evaluating the Qur’an reading program using the Batiq Izzati method at RA Al-Izzah in Serang City. The principal holds a strategic responsibility in ensuring the quality of education, including the implementation of religious programs that play a crucial role in shaping Islamic character in early childhood. The Batiq Izzati method is an internally developed approach by the Al-Izzah Foundation, designed to facilitate Qur’an reading through a gradual, enjoyable, and child-friendly method. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the principal has fulfilled eight key leadership roles; however, the evaluation process is not yet optimal due to limited time and insufficient parental involvement. Evaluations are conducted daily by teachers and periodically by the principal to determine students' progress through different levels (jilid). Supporting factors include competent teachers, adequate facilities, and a structured evaluation system, while inhibiting factors involve time constraints and limited human resources. This study recommends strengthening the principal's role in continuous evaluation and fostering better collaboration between the school and parents to enhance the program's effectiveness.

Abstract

This development research was motivated by obstacles to children's fine motor developmentand the limitations of innovative elearning media in schools. This study aims to developand test the feasibility and effectiveness of the Lacing Cardeducation algame media for early childhood. Using the Research and Development (R & D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), this study involved 15 children aged 4 – 5 years at RA Bina Al Kautsar, West Jakarta. Data were collected through expert validation, performance observation, and interviews. The result sof the validation test showed that the Lacing Card media was categorized as Very Feasible with a score range of 3,80 – 4,00. Empirically, this media has been proven effective in improving children's fine motor skills, as seen from the increase in the average score from 2,30 (Beginning to Develop) at the initial meeting to 3,74 (Developing Very Well) at the final meeting. Significant improvements were recorded in the indicators of independence and accuracy of eye –hand coordination. Teacher responses confirmed that this media is practical and effective as a fine motor stimulation tool. It can be concluded that Lacing Cardis a feasible and optimal learning media for stimulating fine motor development in early childhood.

Abstract

Self-regulation is a fundamental ability that needs to be developed in early childhood, particularly for children aged 5-6 years, as it is closely related to emotional awareness and readiness for formal learning environments. However, emotional regulation in early childhood is often not optimal because emotions are abstract concepts, while children at this age are still in the preoperational cognitive stage and require concrete and visual learning support. This study aimed to develop an Emotion Picture Board as a learning medium to help children recognize and manage their emotions appropriately. The research employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The product was developed based on children’s developmental needs and validated by experts in early childhood education, followed by classroom implementation with children aged 5-6 years. Data were collected through validation questionnaires, observation, and teacher interviews. The results showed that the Emotion Picture Board obtained a high level of validity and practicality, indicating that it is feasible for classroom use. Implementation results also demonstrated that the media effectively supported children in identifying emotions and practicing appropriate emotional responses. Therefore, the Emotion Picture Board can be considered an effective and child-friendly learning medium to support the development of emotional awareness and self-regulation in early childhood education.
