Abstract

Pembelajaran daring yang telah berlangsung hampir dua tahun membuat guru harus terus mencari alternatif sarana pembelajaran yang menarik bagi siswa. Hanya saja, siswa SD dan orang tua di lingkungan pedesaan cenderung mengalami kendala dalam hal sinyal serta keterbatasan keterampilan pengoperasian gawai. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan pembuatan flipbook interaktif menjadi suatu hal yang penting untuk dilakukan agar kualitas pembelajaran dapat ditingkatkan dan kendala dapat diminimalisasi. Hal ini dikarenakan flipbook interaktif memungkinkan siswa untuk dapat belajar dengan memanfaatkan teks, audio, gambar, video, serta kuis dalam satu kemasan. Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru SD negeri di lingkungan Desa Gentansari dan Twelagiri, Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan hyperlink, mengunduh dan memasukkan gambar, suara, teks, video, serta membuat kuis melalui Wordwall, Kahoot, dan Quizizz yang kemudian digabung dengan modul pembelajaran dan dikemas dalam bentuk flipbook. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran, baik dalam bentuk online maupun blended learning di lingkungan SD negeri di kedua desa tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the monopoly-assisted PAKEM model (Active, effective, creative, effective and fun learning model) on the critical thinking skills of grade 5 students of SD Negeri Demaan. Research using quantitative methods with experimental research types. The experimental design form used Quasi Experimental Design with the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study involved two groups: an experimental class and a control class. The subjects in this study were grade 5 Demaan state elementary school which amounted to 45 students. Data collection is in the form of a description type test of 10 questions given for pretest and posttest. The data analysis techniques used are normality, homogeneity and hypothesis test consisting of Independent sample t-test and Paired sample t test. Before carrying out the data collection process, conducting instrument trials first consists of validity, reliability, differentiation and difficulty tests. The average pretest result of the control class was 40.83 and the posttest was 40.95 While the average experimental class pretest results obtained were 44.06 and posttest obtained 80.63. The paired sample t test of the experimental class obtained results in the lower column of -41.90 upper of -31.23 and the significance value (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05 then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted that there was a significant effect of using the monopoly-assisted PAKEM model on the critical thinking ability of grade 5 students of Demaan state elementary school. Therefore, educators or teachers can apply the Monopoly-assisted PAKEM model to improve students' critical thinking.

Abstract

The low quality of education in Indonesia is caused by the weak literacy of students, which is further exacerbated by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to explore the strategies applied by teachers in building a literacy culture with a culturally responsive teaching approach at SDN Sayung 1 and identify the challenges faced in improving students' reading skills. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, where data is collected through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that strategies such as reading habituation Asmaul Husna, reading 15 minutes before learning, and the Duta Baca award program have proven to be effective in increasing students' interest and literacy skills. In addition, the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach also plays a role in linking learning with students' cultural backgrounds, thereby increasing their involvement in literacy activities. Although the challenges found include limited access to diverse reading materials and differences in students' literacy environment at home. Thus, continuous support from schools, teachers, and parents is needed to enrich literacy resources and create a more conducive environment for the development of students' reading skills. With the implementation of the right strategy and good collaboration, a strong literacy culture can be formed and contribute to improving the quality of education in primary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi literasi sosial di sekolah dasar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan pengembangan karakter siswa di era modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian siswa-siswi SD Islam Sultan Agung 02. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi literasi sosial, keterampilan komunikasi, serta peran guru dan lingkungan belajar memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pengembangan karakter siswa yang lebih empatik, kemampuan bersosialisasi, komunikatif, dan bertanggung jawab. Literasi sosial disarankan untuk diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum sekolah agar siswa mampu berkembang di era global. Selain itu, peran aktif orang tua juga diperlukan dalam mendukung perkembangan karakter anak.

Abstract

In the era of globalisation and digital transformation, elementary education faces challenges in preserving local cultural values within technology-based learning environments. Digital learning media often emphasise globalised content, limiting culturally grounded learning experiences. Meanwhile, Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) have become a core objective of 21st-century education, yet empirically validated media integrating Indonesian cultural diversity with HOTS development remain scarce. This study aims to develop and evaluate KEBAYA (Digital Comics on Indonesian Cultural Diversity), a culture-based digital comic designed to enhance students’ HOTS through interactive narratives. Using a research and development approach with the ADDIE model, the study involved needs analysis, product design aligned with curriculum and cultural values, development using the Canva application, expert validation, and field trials with elementary students. Effectiveness was assessed through HOTS-oriented tests and response questionnaires. The results show that KEBAYA is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ HOTS, particularly analysis, evaluation, and creative thinking, offering a scalable model for culturally responsive digital learning. This study contributes to culturally responsive digital pedagogy and provides a scalable learning medium for elementary education.

Abstract

Pendidikan dasar memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kemampuan intelektual dan karakter peserta didik, termasuk kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Educandy terhadap kemampuan HOTS siswa kelas III pada mata pelajaran IPAS di SD Negeri 1 Mrisi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest, melibatkan 20 siswa sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes HOTS berupa pretest dan posttest, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk dan Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kemampuan HOTS siswa setelah penerapan PBL berbantuan media Educandy , dengan nilai rata-rata pretest 55,05 meningkat menjadi 80,95 pada posttest, serta nilai signifikansi uji T < 0,001. Analisis indikator HOTS menunjukkan peningkatan terbesar pada kemampuan menganalisis, sedangkan kemampuan mencipta memerlukan penguatan lebih lanjut. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL yang dikombinasikan dengan media interaktif berbasis permainan mampu meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih aktif, bermakna, dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti empiris bahwa pemanfaatan model PBL berbantuan media Educandy efektif dalam mengembangkan HOTS peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The rapid transformation of digital education has increased the need to integrate technological competence with environmental responsibility in primary education. Previous studies on digital literacy and environmental education have generally been conducted separately and remain predominantly technocentric, with limited attention to socio-educational interaction and sustainable digital practices in developing eco-digital literacy. This study aims to examine the relationship between the socio-educational environment, paperless learning, and eco-digital literacy among primary school students. A quantitative correlational design was applied involving 135 students from digitally integrated primary schools in West Java, Indonesia. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression using SPSS 27.0. The findings revealed that the socio-educational environment had a stronger positive relationship with eco-digital literacy (r = 0.64, p < 0.01) than paperless learning (r = 0.51, p < 0.01). Regression analysis showed that the socio-educational environment was the strongest predictor (β = 0.52, p < 0.001), while paperless learning also contributed significantly (β = 0.29, p < 0.01). The study highlights that paperless learning alone is insufficient without teacher guidance, social interaction, and a sustainability-oriented school culture.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a digital comic based on Indonesian historical heritage and to examine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing elementary school students’ higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consisted of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants involved 35 fifth-grade elementary school students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and HOTS tests administered through pretests and posttests. The data were analysed using descriptive percentage analysis and paired sample t-tests. The results showed that the developed digital comic was categorized as very feasible based on expert validation, very practical based on teacher and student responses, and effective in significantly improving students’ HOTS as indicated by the statistical difference between pretest and posttest scores. These findings suggested that digital comics integrating Indonesian historical heritage could serve as an innovative and engaging instructional medium for promoting higher-order thinking in elementary social studies learning. The study implied that culturally contextual digital learning media could support HOTS-oriented instruction and contribute to the development of more meaningful and interactive learning environments in elementary education.
