Abstract

Studi penciptaan karya ini berangkat dari pengalaman empiris penulis mengenai pergulatan batin neneknya setelah kehilangan suami, yang terkait dengan fenomena late-life crisis dan grief dream. Penciptaan skenario film menggunakan pendekatan empiris (observasi dan wawancara) yang diolah dengan struktur naratif miniplot Robert McKee. Teori eksistensialisme Sartre (konsep l'autre) dan pendekatan estetika realisme magis diintegrasikan untuk membangun konflik dan kedalaman karakter. Hasil penelitian penciptaan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman empiris lansia yang berduka dapat diolah dengan apik menjadi narasi sinematik yang kaya makna, merepresentasikan kompleksitas emosi, pencarian makna, dan proses penyembuhan psikologis lansia. Skenario Kar tidak hanya menjadi refleksi personal, tetapi juga menawarkan perspektif baru mengenai pentingnya dukungan sosial dan pemaknaan ulang identitas bagi lansia pasca kehilangan pasangan. The Inner Conflict of the Elderly in the Aftermath of Spousal Death: A Creative Foundation for the Screenplay KarThis creation study originates from the author's empirical experience of witnessing his grandmother's inner turmoil following the sudden loss of her husband, which is related to the phenomena of late-life crisis and grief dream. The film scenario was developed using an empirical approach (through observation and interviews), which was then processed using Robert McKee's miniplot narrative structure. Sartre's existentialist theory (the concept of the Other) and the aesthetic approach of magical realism are integrated to build character conflict and depth. The results of this creative research demonstrate that the empirical experiences of grieving elderly individuals can be effectively crafted into a meaningful cinematic narrative, representing emotional complexity, the search for meaning, and the process of psychological healing in the elderly. The screenplay Kar not only serves as a personal reflection but also offers a new perspective on the importance of social support and the redefinition of self-identity for the elderly after the loss of a life partner.

Abstract

Many Indonesian performing art experts have stated that audience studies were conducted in minimal numbers. However, the exact number of research on performing art audiences in Indonesia remains unclear. The factors that influence it are still not known in detail. This paper used a literature review on seven nationally accredited performing arts journals from art institutes in Indonesia over the past ten years. The results showed that only 3 out of 1034 journal titles focusing on performing art audiences in the last ten years. From these findings, we can conclude that the study on the audiences is so scarce. This research theme is not interesting for performing art experts in Indonesia. Indonesian performing art experts and academicians have left the importance of audience studies. This paper also discusses the factors that influence the negligible of performing arts audience studies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Anxiety is the main barrier for an actor to give a perfect performance that determines the show’s overall quality. However, there have been no studies examining performance anxiety in theatre actors, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to develop a psychological scale that measures the actor’s performance anxiety level. The following five steps are carried out: (a) preparing the items based on the performance-only type of social anxiety; (b) checking content validity using Aiken's V method; (c) conducting a trial scale; (d) testing reliability using Cronbach's alpha; and (e) selecting items. One hundred sixty-three (163) theatre actors were given the Performance Anxiety Scale for Theatre Actors, which consists of 44 items. The analysis showed that Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.953 out of 38 passed items (r ≥ 0.30). Thus, the developed Performance Anxiety Scale for Theatre Actors has a good validity and reliability score and can be used properly.

Abstract

Haru Biru adalah karya naskah skenario yang diangkat dari fenomena orang-orang workaholic. Workaholisme sebagai sumber ide penciptaan karya diangkat berdasarkan semakin banyaknya orang yang gila kerja hingga mengabaikan kehidupan dan kesehatan pribadi maupun kehidupa sosialnya. Penulisan naskah skenario ini menggunakan pendekatan struktur tiga babak sebagai kerangka teoritik dalam pengembangan narasi. Naskah ini bercerita tentang tokoh bernama Biru yang gila kerja hingga jatuh sakit dan tidak dapat melanjutkan karirnya, hingga akhirnya memilih untuk bunuh diri karena depresi. Proses penulisan ini menghasilkan satu naskah film pendek lengkap yang kemudian diaplikasikan dalam bentuk film pendek yang terdiri dari total 15 scene dengan 8 halaman dengan durasi 15 menit. Workaholic as Inspiration for Creating the Scenario for the Short Film Haru BiruHaru Biru is a screenplay that explores the phenomenon of workaholism. The story is inspired by the increasing number of people obsessed with work that neglect their personal and social lives. The screenplay uses a three-act structure as a theoretical framework for narrative development. The script tells the story of a character named Biru, who is a workaholic and eventually falls ill and is unable to continue his career, leading him to choose suicide due to depression. The writing resulted in 15 scenes and an eight-page script, then adapted into a 15-minute short film.
