Abstract

The Ji’alah (profit-sharing system) between a shipowner and a deckhand does not guarantee that a deckhandwill receive a decent wage. Catches obtained must be paid back for the use of factors of production used for fishing businesses, even to pay for capital and debt obtained from shipowners.Because fisheries are still found violations of human rights and employment, the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation number 35 of 2015, one of which regulates wage systems and standards, refers to applicable laws, such as the provision of minimum wages (Ferdinand Lassale Theory). So the purpose of this study is to look at the fishermen's perspective on the profit-sharing system applied in the Syariah Economy called Jia'alah and the minimum wage derived from Lassale's Ferdinan Theory. So the purpose of this study is to look at the perspectives of 50 fishermen's in Central Bangka Regency and 50 fishermen's in South Bangka Regency regarding the profit-sharing system applied in the Islamic economy called Jia'alah and the minimum wage derived from Lassale's Ferdinan Theory. The analysis of this research is qualitative by using a SWOT analysis. The interview results show that 95 percent of fishermen have the perspective that the profit-sharing system is still fair compared to using the minimum wage system.

Abstract

Abstract

This research discusses the effect of installed power, Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF), the number of workers on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands. The approach used by the researcher is descriptive quantitative. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression using secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency, namely panel data for the 2010-2019 period in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands. The results showed that the best model in panel data regression analysis of the factors that influence the GRDP of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in this study was the Random Effect Model. Capital Per Worker, Life Expectancy, Average Length of Schooling, and Expected Length of Schooling are able to explain the GDP of 56.69 percent. Capital Per Worker, Life Expectancy, Average Length of Schooling, and Expected Length of School together have a significant effect on GDP. Partially, capital per worker has an insignificant negative effect on GDP, while life expectancy and average length of schooling have a significant positive effect on GDP. Expectations for the school year have a positive but not significant effect on GDP.

Abstract

The reality shows that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a very important role in economic growth. Even MSMEs are the only micro institutions that have not been shaken by the monetary crisis that began in 1988. However, as one of the mainstay sectors of society, especially the lower-middle-class economic community, the role of MSMEs has not been maximized, so they have not been able to compete fully and, even worse, many MSMEs have gone out of business or are inactive. Many factors cause the inability of SMEs to compete, among others, due to low innovation and competitiveness, so they have not been able to win competition both in the national and international spheres. The decrease in the number of MSMEs from active to inactive is because these MSMEs are less able to survive in an increasingly fierce competition arena. Only MSMEs that survive are MSMEs that have creations and innovations according to the community’s needs. The inability to create creations and innovations is suspected that most MSME actors have a personality that lacks confidence due to their low managerial ability. If MSME actors have an Internal Locus of Control and high managerial abilities, MSME actors will be more creative and innovative. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach descriptively and inferentially to analyze the LoC on the competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pangkalpinang City with a total sample of 50 MSMEs. The analytical tool used in this research is to use a Likert scale scoring. Multiple linear regression is performed with the competitiveness of MSMEs as the dependent variable and LoC as the independent variable. The research results stated that the Internal Locus of Control (ILoC) of MSME actors in Pangkalpinang City was higher than External Locus of Control (ELoC) and Locus of Control had a significant and positive influence on the competitiveness of MSMEs in Pangkalpinang City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of poverty in seven districts and cities in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This study uses primary and secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and other relevant sources. The analysis was conducted descriptively to identify factors that influence poverty, such as the age of the poor, marriage, education level, number of dependents, type of employment, income, living conditions, government assistance and health. The results show that poverty in Bangka Belitung is more dominant in rural areas than urban areas. Low education levels and limited access to health services are the main causes of poverty in this area. In addition, the community's dependence on the fluctuating mining sector also affects the economic stability of households. This study also found significant income inequality between low- and highincome groups. Based on these findings, efforts to improve access to education and health, as well as economic sector diversification to reduce unemployment are recommended. More inclusive policies are needed to sustainably address poverty in the region.
