Abstract

PAD is income earned by the Region which is collected based on Regional Regulations in accordance with statutory regulations. This regional original income can be used as the main capital in administering government and development. The level of PAD in Bangka Belitung has fluctuated over the last six years. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of macroeconomic indicators on local revenue of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province (2012-2021). The macroeconomic indicators in this study are regional gross domestic product (GDP), population, and inflation over a 10-year period, from 2012 to 2021. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis to see the effect between GRDP, total population, and inflation against regional original income. The results of the regression analysis stated that GRDP had a significant positive effect on local own-source income, in addition to that the population also had an effect on regional original income, but the effect was significant negative. Meanwhile, the regression results do not show that inflation has a significant effect on local revenue in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

Abstract

The economic growth of a region is significantly influenced by various factors, among which investment and consumption are considered pivotal. Despite the considerable focus on these aspects in existing literature, there is a noticeable gap in understanding their impact, particularly in the context of Indonesia's Bangka Belitung Islands. This research aims to fill this gap by empirically investigating the multiplier effect of investment on economic growth in this region. By employing the Random Effect Model (REM) on logarithmically transformed data, the study attempts to offer nuanced insights into the relationship between consumption, investment, labor, and economic growth. The findings and their implications are expected to guide policy decisions and stimulate balanced and inclusive economic growth across Indonesia. The findings diverge from certain previous studies that found no significant relationship between investment and economic growth, particularly in regions outside Java. These discrepancies could be attributed to variations in data sources, temporal spans, and methodologies employed across these studies. Additionally, the research underscores the critical role of infrastructure in regional economic growth, echoing the emphasis found in the extant literature. In conclusion, the study reinforces the importance of Consumption and Investment in driving economic growth in the Bangka Belitung Islands. It further urges policymakers to prioritize balanced investment and infrastructure development, especially in regions beyond Java, to encourage more equitable economic growth across Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze financial performance, tax effort and the elasticity of tax revenue in the parent region and expansion regions in Jambi Province. The novelty of this research is that it uses three analytical tools in assessing the autonomy of parent and expansion regions. The analysis used is financial performance analysis to assess regional financial performance, regional tax effort analysis to assess regional ability to absorb tax revenues, and tax revenue elasticity analysis to assess the productivity capacity of regional tax revenues. The research method is a quantitative method using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency website, Bank Indonesia reports, as well as relevant literature. The research results state that the financial performance of the expansion regions and the parent Regency/City regions in Jambi Province is classified as non-autonomous. In terms of tax effort, the parent district/city area in Jambi Province for the 2009-2021 period is relatively high in terms of tax capacity, as well as efforts to find tax sources. Meanwhile, the district/city expansion areas in Jambi Province are classified as having high tax capacity and low effort to find tax sources. For the regional elasticity analysis, the level of elasticity of the realization of tax revenues from the parent region and the expansion regions towards GRDP at constant prices in 2010 in the Regency/City of Jambi Province during the research period on average shows an elastic category.

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the factors influencing Stunting occurrences in the Merawang Subdistrict, Bangka Regency. Stunting is a chronic nutritional deficiency condition that leads to impaired physical growth in children, as measured by height below age-standard norms. The research adopts an observational approach with a cross-sectional design to explore the relationship between parental education levels, occupation, family income, and early marriage with Stunting prevalence in the region. The study findings reveal that low parental education levels, particularly among mothers, are closely associated with an increased risk of Stunting in children. Additionally, parents working as daily wage laborers with uncertain incomes contribute to inadequate provision of nutritional intake. The research also identifies that low family income typically ranging from IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 2,000,000 per month limits access to nutritious food and adequate healthcare services. Surprisingly, early marriage does not show a significant correlation with Stunting occurrences in this area. The study underscores the importance of improving education and economic stability as crucial steps in combating Stunting. Efforts to raise awareness and enhance access to better education, along with economic interventions to boost family income, can be effectzive strategies for reducing Stunting prevalence in the Merawang Subsdistrict

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the increase in the components of the human development index (HDI) in South Bangka Regency, namely (1) Life Expectancy (LE), (2) and Mean Years of Schooling (MYS), (3) Per Capita Expenditure (PCE). This research also aims to test the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) time series model to predict the three HDI components. The data in this study uses secondary data obtained from various sources from 2011 to 2022. The results of our study show that, Life expectancy is influenced by access to clean water and the number of doctors in South Bangka Regency, the mean years of schooling are influenced by the number of elementary school teachers and the education budget, and the increase in per capita expenditure is influenced by the increase in government spending. The prediction results show that this model is accurate enough for forecasting. The research results show that the ARIMA model has the best performance for predicting LE, MYS, and PCE where the LE ARIMA model is (2,2,2), the MYS ARIMA model is (3,1,1), and the ARIMA PKE model is (2,1,2).
