Abstract

CV. Rumah Jahit Zahra, is one of the convection industries that produces Muslim fashion with various models. The production process that occurs cannot be avoided from any errors that make the product defective. Based on preliminary data, product defects often occur in the production process at CV. Rumah Jahit Zahra. The main factor in the occurrence of product defects is operator error. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that cause errors caused by operators and to correct errors to reduce the percentage of product defects using qualitative analysis with the SHERPA method and quantitative analysis with the HEART method. The results of this study, it can be seen that the HEP value of each production process is, quality control of 0.234, patterning cutting of 0.342, sewing of 0.416, steam of 0.256 and finishing of 0.18. And it is known from the results of the study that is often the cause or the highest factor in making mistakes occurs in the sewing process, with the job description Settup sewing machine, sewing parts (body, sleeves, collar), combining stitches according to their parts, paying attention to the age of use and wear of sewing machines that often occur errors so that improvements can be made by conducting checks on processes that often experience errors and making work procedures or technical instructions in the sewing process to reduce product defects due to operator errors.

Abstract

A company needs to ensure good quality by applying several standards to demonstrate that it meets established quality benchmarks. These standards include SNI (Indonesian National Standard), PIRT (Home Industry Food Certification), and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). One of the food industries that still thrives in the culinary world today is the tempeh industry. Tempeh is a traditional food made from soybeans that are processed into a nutritious fermented product. A factory will operate efficiently if its layout and facilities support production activities.The layout of factory facilities is intended to organize the factory in a way that enhances the effectiveness of the production process. A good layout also facilitates efficient material handling and product movement.The purpose of this study is to examine the factory layout of a tempeh production facility based on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). This research uses a conventional method validated by CRAFT processing with the aid of Excel add-ins, and GMP serves as the reference in the layout planning process.The results of the study show that the optimal layout for the production department follows the flow of the tempeh production process. Based on this layout, a design was created by establishing rules and facilities in accordance with GMP.

Abstract

This study aims to plan a maintenance system for the Chin Fong 110 Ton machine in the piercing stamping process at PT. XYZ in order to reduce the level of defective products caused by machine damage and lack of planned maintenance. The method used is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) which uses Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify critical components and determine maintenance action priorities. The research process includes collecting historical machine failure data, calculating the Risk Priority Number (RPN) value, and determining the type of maintenance actions such as Condition Directed (CD) and Time Directed (TD). The results show that the main cause of machine malfunctions is the lack of planned maintenance. Based on the RCM analysis, the pinion drive shaft, wet clutch, and slide (ram) components are recommended to use CD measures, while the flywheel and main gear use TD measures. The implementation of this maintenance plan is projected to improve machine reliability and reduce the defect rate while extending the machine's service life and increasing production process efficiency. The contribution of this research is to provide a reliability-based maintenance planning model that can be used as a reference for manufacturing companies in optimizing machine performance and maintaining product quality in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

CV. Suho Garmindo merupakan perusahaan garmen yang memasok produk Rabbani. Perusahaan ini berusaha mempertahankan posisinya dalam persaingan dengan perusahaan garmen lainnya dengan berusaha menghasilkan produk dengan kualitas terbaik agar dapat memenuhi target pembeli dan menjaga kredibilitasnya. Hasil studi lapangan yang melibatkan observasi dan wawancara dengan perusahaan telah menunjukkan bahwa yang sering terjadi adalah perusahaan akan mengutamakan produk pesanan khusus yang datang di tengah-tengah produksi sehingga terdapat produk yang dibatalkan untuk produk prioritas. Masalah ini terjadi karena perusahaan belum menentukan kebijakan time fences, yaitu waktu untuk mengetahui kapan rencana produksi dapat diubah atau tidak. Metode yang digunakan adalah VSM (Value Stream Mapping) untuk menggambarkan sistem produksi, mulai dari pemesanan bahan baku hingga produk jadi yang siap didistribusikan dan aliran nilai perusahaan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan Manufacturing Lead Time yang berkurang dari 273,37 menjadi 162,35 sebagai hasil dari perbaikan pengurangan pemborosan dan penelitian ini menghasilkan kebijakan Time Fences berdasarkan proses-proses yang terjadi di perusahaan.
