Abstract

Biaya energi listrik pada hotel mencapai rata-rata 30% dari total biaya operasional, sehingga penerapan managemen energi yang tepat akan memberi dampak yang positif terhadap kinerja keuangan. Kapasitas penggunaan energi, khususnya padakamar hotel umumnya cukup besar (kisaran 1 sampai dengan 3 kW). Untuk menjamin energi managemen berlangsung dengan baik dan berkesinambungan pada kamar hotel, maka instalasi listrik yang disertai dengan sistem kontrol yang efektif akan menjamin penggunaan energi secara efisien dan tepat guna. Pada penelitian ini telah dirancang dan diaplikasikan suatu instalasi dengan menggunakan sistem satu zona untuk setiap kamar yang dilengakapi sistem saklar kartu (key tag). Selain itu pada instalasi ini juga dilengkapi dengan kontrol sensor untuk beban lampu yang ada pada kama rmandi dan penggunaan jenis beban penerangan yang hemat energi. Pengukuran untuk menghitung konsumsi energi pada kamar menggunakan sistem data akusisi sehingga perhitungan dapat dilakukan dengan langsung dan kerkesinambungan.. Instalasi kelistrikan dengan sistem saklar kartu dan penggunaan kontrol serta jenis lampu LED dapat menghemat konsumsi energi pada kamar hotelsebesar 1.000 kWh perbulan dibandingkan jika menggunakan instalasi konvensional/biasa. Sehingga biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk pemakaian energi listrik juga semakin berkurang. Oleh karena itu penggunaan instalasi dengan control sistem saklar kartu dan lampu LED dan sensor pada kamar hotel dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan energi listrik

Abstract

Generator Air Cooler (GAC) is an important part of the hydropower system which is used to cool the air in the generator room. GAC is a form of application of a heat exchanger (heat exchanger) with water as a coolant. There is a difference in air temperature before and after the GAC, so presumably it can be utilized by using a thermoelectric which is expected to work well as a coolant, in this case it takes into account its ability to absorb heat as a thermoelectric input and generate electrical energy as its output. From the test results, the addition of a thermoelectric was able to increase the effectiveness and NTU and also reduce LMTD. The effectiveness of the resulting GAC without thermoelectric addition yielded 89.90%, 91.85%, and 91.51%. Meanwhile, if the thermoelectric is added, it is 91.39%, 92.82%, and 92.58%. The electric power generated from three days of thermoelectric testing was 0.022W, 0.019W, and 0.021W, with an efficiency of 6.44%, 5.18%, and 4.07%.

Abstract

This paper discussed about simulation of closed loop position control system of DC servo motor in solar collector thermal power plant application. When the input position that simulated with step signal given to motor, the positional information from an output potentiometer which is mechanically coupled to a motor is feedback to control amplifier. The references position input from input step is combined with the feedback signal at the input of the amplifier which drivers the motor in proportion to the difference between two signal. In this case, the position of DC servo motor controlled with PID controller. Simulation was created by Simulink toolbox of Matlab 6.50. we found constant PID control are Kp = 1, Ki = 0,4, and Kd = 0,5.

Abstract

The use of extra-high voltage lines can increase efficiency and reduce voltage drop but cause corona generation. Corona that occurs increases channeling losses and causes disruption to the environment in the form of Audible Noise (AN) and Radio Interference (RI). Audible Noise (AN) and Radio Interference (RI) that are too large will disturb the community around the transmission line. The use of a bundle conductor is a way to reduce the risk of corona. This paper discusses the effect of variations in the bundle conductor on noise interference and radio interference in 275kV extra-high-voltage air lines (SUTET). The types of variations include variations in the number of beams, variations in the distance between sub-conductors, and variations in diameter of the conductor. Next, the Audible Noise (AN) and Radio interference (RI) values are calculated for the Latuppa (Palopo) - Pomana channel planning. The results of the calculation of AN and RI values on SUTET 275kV are still included as safe criteria because the value is still below the criteria limits of Perry and SPLN 46-1-1981 concerning the Noise Level Limitation Guidelines and the IEEE Radio Noise Design Guide about the maximum limit of RI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan yaitu untuk mengetahui/menganalisa faktor-faktorapa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi produksi biogas limbah ternak sapi didalamsebuah digester, dimana ukuran digester yang digunakan yaitu dengan diameterdigester ± 2 m dan tinggi ± 2 m. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan BarokoKabupaten Enrekang, menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan perlakuanpenambahan subtrat seperti Em4 kedalam campuran kotoran sapi dengan air dandengan melakukan perbandingan 1:2 dimana kotoran sapi lebih sedikit daripada air.Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan alat ukur manometer U, Ph-meter danPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan Em4 danperbandingan 1:2 terhadap produksi biogas di Kecamatan Baroko KabupatenEnrekang. Hasil pengujian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Em4dapat meningkatkan peroduksi biogas dimana tekanan tertinggi terjadi pada hari ke-6dengan kenaikan tekanan mencapai 31.5 cm (kenaikan presure di malam hari).Sedangkan perbandingan 1:2 hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunanproduksi biogas. Hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya sumber makanan bagi bakteri-bakteripembentuk biogas.

Abstract

Utilization of livestock manure has not been optimal, whereas livestock manure can be used as feedstock to produce renewable energy (renewable ) in the form of biogas . The problem that occurs is that people have not been able to utilize the manure waste especially cow dung as fuel alternative energy producers. Biogas is a mixture of combustible gas , which is produced by anaerobic fermentation of organic material such as animal manure and agricultural wastes in a digester chamber ( digester ) . In this study digester drum is made of plastic and stuffing materials derived from a mixture of cow dung and water . This study aims to design a portable device of biogas models are easy to assemble , inexpensive and can perform well . From the results of this study can be obtained biogas pressure and long flame generated by means of producing biogas and portable models can be applied to biogas stoves.

Abstract

Research into this which entitle design machine processor of palm oil automatically, aim to can yield the coconut mink of 20 litre each hour. Our research before all only can produce the mean of 10 coconut mink litre each hour. Whereas traditional machine which used by the society in this time only can produce the mean coconut mink of 5 coconut mink litre each hour. The society support with area potency as producer of coconut hibrida, and also request of market of palm oil, pushing to do this research designed the machine have of bigger capacities to be permeable of the labour more and profit society. Its is method, all component supporter of machine done by addition of volume and his strength through planning and calculation. Machine designed by the consist of: machine scar coconut flesh, and magle machine of is result of rasp, at the same time dissociate the result coconut mink with his dregs. Both the machine work automatically through activator motor. Rasp designed use the cylinder turn around the harsh jagged around surface of the cylinder which turned around use the electromotor. Magle machine designed use the plate stenless stell small holey which formed by be like mug which is on its underside is attached by the propeller knife, activator system the used is powered electromotor of low electrics. After done the testing at made machine and compared to the former machine and traditional machine, hence obtained by the result as follows: Former machine only can produce the mean of 10 coconut mink litre each hour, is while the machine design can produce the mean more than 20 coconut mink litre each hour meaning the storey of 50%. Traditional machine only can produce the mean of 5 coconut mink litre each hour mean experience of the improvement of 75% from the machine design.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang timbul pada penyaluran energi listrik adalah bagaimana agar dapat menyalurkan energi listrik secara terus-menerus dan efisien kepada konsumen. Jatuh tegangan terjadi cukup besar apabila jarak pelanggan dengan gardu distribusi terlalu jauh.Gardu induk Tello mengasuh 13 penyulang, salah satunya adalah penyulang yang melayani Kima. Berdasarkan data dari perusahaan PT. PLN Rayon Makassar Timur dan data yang diperoleh dari PDKB. Penyulang Kima juga dikategorikan sebagai penyulang yang belum stabil. Pada gardu induk (GI) tenaga listrik yang diterima kemudian dilepaskan menuju transformator distribusi dalam bentuk tegangan menengah 20kV. Dalam penelitian ini kami menggunakan metode analisis komponen. Variabel yang diketahui adalah panjang penghantar total, jenis penghantar, kapasitas trafo, hubungan belitan, arus sekunder dan arus primer. Sumber data diperoleh dari kantor PLN Rayon Timur Makassar, kantor PLN Wilayah Makasar, serta kantor PDKB Makassar. Hasil penilitan memperlihatkan bahwa pada daerah Jl. Kima 3 memilki jatuh tegangan terbesar yaitu ΔVx=0,903, ΔVy = 0,95 dan jauth tegangan terendah terjadi pada Jl. Kima 4 yaitu ΔVx=0,00, ΔVy =0,00, serta rugi daya terbesar terjadi pada Jl. Kima 3 yaitu ΔP= 44,149 dan rugi daya terendah terjadi pada Jl. Kima 4 yaitu ΔP= 0,00. Dari hasil penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin besar jarak pengiriman energi listrik maka rugi daya dan jatuh tegangan maka semakin besar pula dan semakin kecil jarak pengiriman energi lisitrik maka semakin kecil pula rugi daya dan jatuh tegangan.

Abstract

The drying methods currently used by farmers still rely heavily on direct solar power, so that the continuity of drying to reduce water content cannot be controlled properly, which has a direct impact on the low quantity and quality of drying results, as well as poor product hygiene. Utilization of condenser waste heat from cooling machines is one of the development applications for heat pump systems. The advantages of heat pumps for the drying process include their ability to control the temperature and humidity in the drying chamber, so that they can be adjusted for various drying conditions and the drying process is more efficient and environmentally friendly. This research aims to determine the performance of drying machines for agricultural commodities (cocoa beans) using the method of developing a domestic air conditioning machine, by adding a condenser arranged in series with the main condenser to function as a drying chamber. The results of the modification of this tool consist of five main parts, namely the compressor, tray dryer room (additional condenser), main condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator. Testing of this dryer was carried out with two types of experiments, namely experiments without load and experiments with load. The test was carried out at the maximum working time of the condenser by setting the lowest working evaporator, namely 16°C. The lower the working temperature of the evaporator, the higher the working temperature of condenser 1. This is done to get maximum work from this modified dryer. Based on tests for temperature and relative humidity (RH) under load and no-load conditions, the values are not too different. After approximately 2 hours of operation or when the machine was working in steady state, the highest temperature was obtained at 87°C while the highest average RH was obtained at 78% in the drying rack space. The performance of this agricultural commodity drying machine has functioned well, especially for cocoa beans which have been dried to a standard moisture content of 7.5% in accordance with SNI 2322-2008 for an operating time of 130 minutes. The dryer system by utilizing exhaust heat from the condenser in this domestic air conditioning machine can work well without reducing its main function as indicated by the maximum temperature value of 20oC around the evaporator.

Abstract

Installing rooftop Solar Power Plants (SPP) represents the most efficient solution for reducing substantial electricity consumption in office buildings and hospitals, as Makassar Eye Hospital exemplifies. The research commences by addressing concerns about electricity availability and daily usage at the hospital while evaluating the solar radiation potential. Subsequently, the development of the SPP system begins. A location assessment is conducted using various tools to gather the necessary data for SPP design. In this study, the planning phase involves the utilization of PVSyst software for the technical analysis of electrical energy generation and system performance calculations. Additionally, the economic analysis includes evaluating the initial investment costs for establishing the SPP and considering prevailing market prices for components. The feasibility of the SPP investment is determined by calculating key financial metrics, including the Payback Period (PP), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Profitability Index (PI), and Return on Investment (ROI). According to the economic analysis findings, the initial investment cost for the SPP amounts to Rp. 544.031.733. The energy production value per kilowatt-hour (kWh) stands at Rp. 1.278, resulting in a Payback Period (PP) of 13,8 years, a Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp. 138.182.638, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 11.51%, and a Return on Investment (ROI) of 25.4%. These results affirm the plan's feasibility, as the IRR value surpasses the Discount Rate (8.43%).
