Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji gambaran kerusakan lingkungan dan perilaku green behavior dalam kumpulan cerpen Kompas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan gambaran kerusakan lingkungan dan perilaku green behavior dalam cerpen pilihan yang diambil dari buku kumpulan cerpen Kompas. Sumber data penelitian adalah sepuluh cerpen yang dibukukan dalam kumpulan cerpen Kompas. Melalui metode deskriptif kualitatif ditemukan hal-hal sebagai berikut. Pertama, gambaran kerusakan lingkungan yang muncul dalam cerpen-cerpen pilihan digambarkan dengan kutipan narasi dan dialog tokoh. Gambaran kerusakan alam itu meliputi: eksploitasi tambang, penebangan pohon, pencemaran air, pencemaran udara, perusakan terumbu karang, pemburuan satwa langka, dan limbah sampah penyebab banjir. Kedua, perilaku green behavior yang ada dalam cerpen-cerpen ditunjukkan dengan kutipan narasi dan dialog tokoh. Perilaku green behavior yang tergambar dalam cerpen-cerpen pilihan meliputi: (1) penanaman berbagai jenis tumbuhan, (2) kesadaran melindungi satwa liar dari perburuan, (3) menjaga kemurnian mata air, (4) mengurangi penggunaan obat kimia untuk tanah dan tumbuhan, dan (5) upaya pencegahan kebakaran lahan.Kata kunci: gambaran, ekologi, kumpulan, cerpen, kompas This study examines the description of environmental damage and green behavior in the 2014 collection of short stories. This study aims to describe the description of environmental damage and green behavior in selected short stories taken from the 2014 Kompas short story collection book. The source of research data is ten short stories which are recorded in a collection of short stories. Kompas 2014. Through the qualitative descriptive method the following were found. First, the description of environmental damage that appears in selected short stories is depicted with narrative quotes and character dialogues. The description of natural damage includes: exploitation of mines, felling of trees, water pollution, air pollution, destruction of coral reefs, hunting of endangered species, and flood-causing waste. Second, green behavior in short stories is shown by narrative quotes and character dialogues. Green behavior illustrated in selected short stories includes: (1) planting various types of plants, (2) awareness of protecting wildlife from hunting, (3) maintaining the purity of springs, (4) reducing the use of chemical drugs for soil and plants, and (5) efforts to prevent land fires.Keywords: overview, ecology, collection, short stories, compass

Abstract

Abstrak Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu apa saja nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Asal-Usul Upacara Bekakak di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Asal-Usul Kali Upacara Bekakak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik refrensial, refrensi yang digunakan adalah pendapat para ahli serta beberapa penelitian yang relevan dan lebih dahulu dilakukan dari penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dan teknik catat, Penelitian ini menghasilkan data tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Asal-Usul Upacara Bekakak ini sangat penting diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter tersebut adalah; nilai karakter religius yang sangat erat hubunganya dengan Tuhan Yang Mah Esa, nilai karakter yang erat hubungannya dengan diri sendiri seperti tanggung jawab, setia, rajin dan nilai karakter yang erat hubungnnya dengan sesama seperti kasih sayang. Abstract

Text-based language learning in the 2013 curriculum requires students to be active so that at the end of learning students are expected to be able to produce an output product from the material that has been taught. In producing these outputs, it is necessary to have an in-depth understanding of the material related to the selection and arrangement of appropriate vocabulary. In line with this statement. This study aims to determine the language errors at the syntactic level in the results of presuasive speech text essays of grade IX students of SMP Islam Prestasi Al-Mubtadi-Ien Bantul Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach that is descriptive. The data source used in this study was a text essay of persuasive speech for grade IX students of SMPIP Al-Mubtadi-Ien Bantul. The data analysis method used in this study was the equivalent method with the analysis technique in the form of a reference. The references used to analyze the data in this study are the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), the Acronym for General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PEUBI), and the opinions of experts who are relevant to this research. Of the 12 articles analyzed, there were 3 ambiguous sentences, 5 with non-standard sentences, 5 with unclear sentence errors, 8 essays with sentences that experienced redundant words, and 6 sentences with inappropriate diction. As well as 4 clauses with unclear sentence logic. The results of the study concluded that language errors at the syntactic level in the students' essays were caused by the lack of student references in understanding language material. As well as the habits of students in choosing and applying phrases, clauses and sentences when compiling essays.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Gaya kata dan gaya kalimat merupakan unsur penting dalam sebuah karya sastra khususnya cerpen. Penggunaan gaya kata dan gaya kalimat dalam karya sastra membuat pembaca memahami maksud dan tujuan penggarang dalam menulis karya sastra. Selain itu penggunaan diksi dan gaya kalimat digunakan agar pembaca mampu memahami unsur-unsur berkaitan dengan ciri khas penggarang. Terlebih dalam menggunakan aspek lokalitas dalam menulis cerita pendek. Selaras dengan pernyataan tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk gaya kata dan gaya kalimat yang digunakan penggarang dalam menyampaikan lokalitas Jawa pada cerpen-cerpen karya Gunawan Tri Atdmojo. Serta mendeskripsikan gaya kata dan gaya kalimat dalam menyampaikan aspek lokalitas Jawa yang dominan digunakan dalam cerpen cerpen karya Gunawan Triadtmojo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa teknik refrensial. Refrensi yang digunakan yaitu pendapat para ahli, serta penelitian yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Penelitian ini menghasilkan data tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kata yang dominan digunakan oleh penggarang dalam menyampaikan lokalitas Jawa adalah gaya kata kolokial. Gaya kalimat yang dominan digunakan dalam menyampaikan lokalitas Jawa adalah kalimat deklaratif.KATA KUNCI: Leksikal; Gramatikal; Lokalitas Jawa; Cerpen; Gunawan Tri Atdmojo The Author's Style In Delivering Java Locality: Stilistics Of Short Stories By Gunawan Tri Atdmojo. ABSTRACT: Word style and sentence style are important elements in a literary work, especially short stories. The use of word style and sentence style in literary works makes the reader understand the intent and purpose of the author in writing literary works. In addition, the use of diction and sentence style is used so that the reader is able to understand the elements related to the characteristics of the author. Especially in using the locality aspect in writing short stories. In line with this statement, this study aims to describe the form of word style and sentence style used by the author in conveying Javanese locality in the short stories by Gunawan Tri Atdmojo. As well as describing the style of words and sentence styles in conveying aspects of Javanese locality which are dominantly used in short stories by Gunawan Triadtmojo. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The data analysis technique used is a referential technique. The references used are the opinions of experts, as well as research relevant to this research. Data collection techniques used reading and note-taking techniques. This research produces written data. The results showed that the dominant style of words used by the author in writing short stories was colloquial. Abstract

International assessments such as PISA, TIMSS, and PIRLS indicate that Indonesian students perform poorly, ranking below Malaysia and far behind Singapore. This issue is compounded by internal challenges, including teacher quality. To address this, a study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the Barrett and Bloom model evaluation question grid in PISA-style reading comprehension questions. The research utilized the ADDIE Research and Development model, analyzing two sets of teacher-created questions. A senior teacher developed Package A using a reading comprehension model, while a junior teacher designed Package B with a non-argumentative Bloom grid. Data analysis was conducted using a t-test in SPSS. The findings revealed that Package B outperformed Package A, with t = -11.133 and a significance level of ≤ 0.05. Additionally, most senior teacher-written questions were HOTS-based, making them more challenging and requiring critical thinking. Conversely, junior teacher-created questions were easier, with fewer HOTS elements, resulting in better test scores. Thus, the study concludes that the Barrett Grid is more effective in designing PISA-style reading comprehension questions.

Abstract

Literary works can depict various phenomena from various sectors, including cultural, social, political, psychological, and religious. Interestingly, in the research of literary works and religion, it is often distinguished between religion and non-religion, even though religion in literary works is universal. Therefore, this study aims to explain the dimensional aspects of religiosity in Abidah El Khalieqy's novels. The type of research is descriptive qualitative, using the religiosity theory approach by Glock and Stark. The data sources of this research are the novels Geni Jora, Mataraisa, Bait-Bait Multazam, and Santri Cengkir. Data collection uses reading and note-taking techniques, while this study uses human interest. Data validity is interrater and interrater techniques. Data analysis uses the method of comparing data, categorizing, presenting data, and making inferences. The results of this study show that religiosity in Abidah El Khalieqy's novels related to the five dimensions of Glock and Stark consists of a belief dimension, a belief practice dimension, a science dimension, an experience dimension, and an experience effect dimension. The conclusion explains that Glock and Stark's multidimensional typology of religiosity dimensions is universal in the treasures of Islamic culture. The problem presented in the novel is the problem between characters in achieving the lost dimension of religiosity, which functions as a human value and transcendence in obtaining the lost dimension in life.

Abstract

This article presents a study aimed at enhancing the poetry writing skills of Grade VIII C students at SMP Negeri 12 Malang through the implementation of the experiential learning approach. Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the study was carried out over two iterative cycles, each encompassing the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Findings from the research demonstrated a 20% improvement in students' poetry writing abilities from the first to the second cycle. These results underscore the pedagogical effectiveness of the experiential learning approach in fostering students' creative expression and written literacy in poetry. The article further elaborates on the pedagogical implications of these findings, suggesting that experiential learning can serve as a transformative instructional model in language and literature education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of role playing strategies on language learning, particularly on students' speaking skills. This study is a meta-analysis of the results obtained from 20 scientific journals. The data analysis technique in this study used a comparative method to determine the impact of the use of role-playing strategies on students' speaking skills. Furthermore, a paired sample t-test was used to see the average increase before and after classroom activities, as well as to determine whether there were differences in the average of the two paired or related groups. The analysis results showed that the average percentage increase in student learning outcomes with the role-playing strategy increased students' speaking skills from the lowest 7.06% to the highest 76.74% with an average increase of 33.05%. Students' speaking skills after using the role-playing strategy increased significantly by 18.82%. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the role-playing strategy can have a positive effect on improving students' speaking skills.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Minyak jelantah sisa penggorengan merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang perlu dimiliki. Minyak Jelantah hasil dari penggorengan yang dilakukan biasanya langsung dibuang oleh masyarakat secara sembarangan. Hal ini tentunya dapat membahayakan bagi lingkungan karena bisa tercemar. Pemanfaatan minyak jelantah menjadi produk yang bernilai jual tentunya dapat menjadi alternatif untuk mencegah pencemaran lingkungan yang disebabkan oleh minyak jelantah. Metode kegiatan ini yaitu pelatihan yang diawali oleh pelatihan kepada pengurus bank sampah pelangi kelurahan Notoprajan sebagai upaya optimalisasi limbah dan dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan kepada Ibu-Ibu PKK RW 2 dan 3 dan masyarakat RW 7 Kelurahan Notoprajan. Pelatihan Lilin Aromatherapy tentunya diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai ketermapilan baru dari masyarakat kelurahan Notoprajan sehingga dapat membuat lilin Aromatherapy secara mandiri di rumah dan selanjutnya dapat dijadikan sebagai peluang usaha yang dikembangkan oleh pengurus bank sampah dan kelompok Ibu-Ibu PKK Kelurahan Notoprajan. Kata Kunci: Lilin Aromaterapi, Jelantah, Ibu PKK, Notoprajan Abstrak: Utilizing used cooking oil is a skill that needs to be acquired. Used cooking oil from frying is often discarded carelessly by the public. This can be harmful to the environment as it may cause contamination. Turning used cooking oil into valuable products can be an alternative to prevent environmental pollution caused by such oil. The method for this activity involves training, starting with a session for the management of the Pelangi Waste Bank in the Notoprajan sub-district to optimize waste, followed by training for the PKK (Family Welfare Program) women of RW 2 in Notoprajan. The aromatherapy candle training is expected to provide a new skill for the residents of Notoprajan, allowing them to make aromatherapy candles independently at home, and potentially creating a business opportunity that can be developed by the waste bank managers and the PKK group in Notoprajan.
