Abstract

ABSTRACT Approximately 80% of children's brains experience development between the ages of 0-6 years. At this age, it is called the golden phase of a child's growth and development, all information regarding the good and bad words or behavior of people around them will be completely absorbed and will become the basis for the formation of character, personality and cognitive abilities (Pacific Cross, 2017). The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about baby development and feeding patterns for babies aged 6-12 months at the Yeni Selviana Midwife Clinic, Tembilahan Regency. The design used in this research is a descriptive type. The population in this study were all mothers with babies aged 6-12, totaling 45 people. The sample in this study was all mothers who had babies aged 6-12, totaling 45 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Analysis of research data was univariate and bivariate analysis using the Rho sperm test. The results of the research explain that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge about baby development and feeding patterns for babies aged 6-12 months at the Yeni Selviana Midwife Clinic, Tembilahan Regency with a P value of 0.006. The conclusion of the research is that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge about baby development and feeding patterns for babies aged 6-12 months at the Yeni Selviana Midwife Clinic, Tembilahan Regency. Keywords: Knowledge, Feeding Patterns, Babies Aged 6-12 Months  ABSTRAK Kurang lebih 80% otak anak mengalami perkembangan pada usia 0-6 tahun. Pada usia inilah disebut denga fase emas tumbuh kembanv anak, segala informasi mengenai kata-kata atau perilaku orang baik-buruk di sekitar akan diserap seluruhnya dan akan menjadi dasar terbentuknya karakter, kepribadian, serta kemampuan kognitif (Pasific Cross, 2017). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu tentang perkembangan bayi dengan pola pemberian makan pada bayi usia 6-12 bulan di Klinik Bidan Yeni Selviana Kabupaten Tembilahan. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis deskriptif yang menggunakan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini semua ibu yang mempunyai bayi berumur 6-12 berjumlah 45 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu yang mempunyai bayi berumur 6-12 berjumlah 45 orang. Tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Analisa data penelitian adalah anlias univariat dan bivariat dengan uji sperman Rho. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa ada hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu tentang perkembangan bayi dengan pola pemberian makan pada bayi usia 6-12 bulan di Klinik Bidan Yeni Selviana Kabupaten Tembilahan dengan nilai Pvalue 0,006. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah ada hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu tentang perkembangan bayi dengan pola pemberian makan pada bayi usia 6-12 bulan di Klinik Bidan Yeni Selviana Kabupaten Tembilahan. Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, Pola Pemberian Makan, Bayi Umur 6-12 Bulan

Abstract

ABSTRACT The timing of complementary feeding must be in accordance with the age of the baby. Giving complementary foods too early can have a negative impact on the baby. Infants who receive complementary foods less than 4 months will experience a risk of malnutrition 5 times greater than infants who receive complementary foods at 6 months of age. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and attitudes about complementary foods with complementary feeding in infants 6-24 months. The type of research used was quantitative using an analytic observational design research design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had babies 6-24 months in the Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) Sri Diana Medan which amounted to 65 people. The technique of taking subjects using total sampling of 65 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire to assess knowledge, attitude and complementary feeding. The research data analysis was univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square test. The results explained that there was a relationship between knowledge (p=0.000) and attitude (p=0.001) with complementary feeding. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitude with complementary feeding in infants 6-24 months.  Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Complementary Feeding, Infant  ABSTRAK Waktu pemberian MP-ASI harus sesuai dengan usia bayi. Pemberian MP-ASI terlalu dini dapat berdampak buruk pada bayi. Bayi yang mendapat MP-ASI kurang dari 4 bulan akan mengalami risiko gizi kurang 5 kali besar disbanding dengan bayo yang mendapatkan MP-ASI pada umur 6 bulan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Hubungan Pengetahuan Dan Sikap Ibu Tentang MP-ASI Dengan Pemberian MP-ASI Pada Bayi 6-24 Bulan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian desain observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu yang memiliki bayi 6-24 bulan di Praktik Bidan Mandiri (PMB) Sri Diana Medan yang berjumlah 65 orang. Teknik pengambilan subjek menggunakan total sampling sebanyak 65 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner untuk menilai pengetahuan, sikap dan Pemberian MP-ASI. Analisa data penelitian adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa terdapat hubungan pengetahuan (p=0,000) dan sikap (p=0,001) dengan Pemberian MP-ASI. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap dengan Pemberian MP-ASI pada bayi 6-24 bulan. Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, Sikap, MP-ASI, Bayi

Abstract

Early introduction of complementary foods (early CF) before four months of age increases the risk of malnutrition fivefold compared to timely introduction at six months. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parenting styles, nutritional literacy, and maternal occupational status regarding complementary feeding (CF) practices among children aged 6 to 24 months at the Sipiongot Community Health Center, North Padang Lawas Regency. This analytic study employed a cross-sectional approach involving 58 respondents. This design was selected to observe the inter-variable relationships simultaneously. Data revealed that the majority of respondents exhibited poor parenting categories (62.1%), moderate nutritional knowledge (50.0%), unemployment status (63.8%), and inadequate CF practices (55.2%). Bivariate analysis demonstrated significant correlations between CF practices and parenting style (p=0.045), nutritional knowledge (p=0.029), and occupational status (p=0.014). Maternal internal factors and employment status play a pivotal role in infant nutritional success. Massive nutritional education and targeted support for stay-at-home mothers are required to improve CF practices in this region.
