Abstract

Crab (Portunus pelagicus) is one of the economically important marine products produced from Indonesian coastal waters. Market demand for crab commodities continues to increase. Crab traps are a fishing tool that is very popular with fishermen for catching crab because this fishing tool is passive, cheap and easy to operate and selective for fish (environmentally friendly). Based on the above, bearing in mind the importance of efforts to improve the standard of living and welfare of fishermen, it is necessary to have a fishing business to make it more profitable and responsible. The aim of this research is to analyze the technical and financial aspects of the crab trap fishing business on Salemo Island in February and April 2018. This research uses a survey research method, with data collected using a questionnaire using a random sampling method for fishermen who operate crab traps. Based on the research results, technical aspects include the fishing ground for crab traps, which has muddy bottom topography. The fishing season in a year is the peak season in May–September, the normal season in March–April and the lean season in October–February. The production of catches by crab trap fishermen on Salemo Island, Pangkep Regency, ranges between 1.01 and 1.95 kg/trip/unit of fishing gear and 264 and 591 kg/year/unit of fishing gear. The average value of the R/C ratio for crab trap businesses is 1.26, so the crab trap business is feasible to develop.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsentrasi total amonia nitrogen, nitrit, nitrat dan fosfor dibeberapa inlet tambak serta mengetahui N:P rasio di perairan teluk Awerange Kabupaten Barru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penentuan stasiun penelitian dan sampling yang dilakukan di empat stasiun sampling. Analisis sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Uji Kualitas Air di Balai Penelitian Pengembangan Budidaya Air Payau Kab. Maros, Sulawesi Selatan. Analisa sampel dilakukan berdasarkan standar internasional Indonesia yaitu Nessler, Spectrophotometric, Bruching sulafate, Ascorbic acid. Kemudian, analisa data dilakukan uji non parametric Kruskal-Wallis dan Mann-Withney Test. Selanjutnya perhitungan rasio N:P dihitung berdasarkan molar N dan P yang berasal dari konsentrasi N an-organik terlarut dan PO4. Analisis non parametric dan korelasi Pearson dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi TAN, NH3, NH4, NO2, NO3 dan PO4 menujukkan konsentrasi yang relative sama pada semua stasiun pengamatan. Rasio N:P diperairan menunjukkan unsure P sebagai factor pembatas pertumbuhan plankton diperairan pada bulan agustus, berbeda dengan bulan September Rasio N:P menujukkan unsur N sebagai factor pembatas pertumbuhan fitoplankton. Suhu dan salinitas berkolerasi positif dengan NO3 yang menunjukkan bahwa terjadi proses pembentukan nitrat di teluk Awarange selama penelitian ini. Input nutrien dari kegiatan tambak berpotensi memberikan input nutrient khususnya nitrogen dan fosfor terhadap Teluk Awarange sebagai akibat dari aplikasi pakan komersil selama kegiatan budidaya.

Abstract

Kasiwa Fish Landing Base (PPI) in Mamuju, West Sulawesi, is a center of fisheries activity that plays an important role in supporting the capture fisheries sector. This research aims to analyze the efficiency of unloading fish catches and the factors that influence it. The method used in this research was purposive sampling, with respondents consisting of active fishermen and port management staff. The aim of this research is to evaluate the duration of the catch unloading process at the Kasiwa Fish Landing Base (PPI) located in Mamuju, West Sulawesi. As the fishing industry advances, the importance of efficiency in unloading procedures becomes increasingly significant to boost productivity and reduce losses. This research uses an observational method with measurements of demolition time carried out over a certain period of time, as well as quantitative data analysis to identify factors that influence the duration of demolition. This includes the type of fish, volume of catch, and weather conditions at the time of unloading. The results show that the time required for disassembly ranges from 30 to 120 minutes, depending on the variables involved. It is hoped that these findings can provide suggestions for fisheries industry players to improve operational efficiency at PPI Kasiwa and become a reference for further research in the field of fisheries and marine product processing.

Abstract

Barru Regency has various potentials for capture fisheries, including small pelagic fish such as flying fish (Decapterus spp). Until now, fly fishing in Barru Regency is still open access. So it is necessary to monitor the catch per unit effort. The identification of the type of catch is done visually. Data processing through the Schaefer Model approach. The results showed that the sustainable potential of flying fish in the waters of Barru Regency, Schaefer model (1954), was 6774.59 tons, the maximum sustainable fishing effort (fMSY) was 384 units. Meanwhile, JTB for the sustainable potential of flying fish is 5419.67 tons with a maximum number of fishing effort units of 212 units / year. The status of the utilization of flying fish resources in Barru Regency waters has been categorized as dense exploitation with a high level of cultivation. Even though they have not passed the MSY and Fopt values, caution is needed in their use.

Abstract

Salah satu hasil pertanian yang banyak ditemukan di Desa Lombong Timur adalah pisang. Selama ini, pisang umumnya lebih sering dimakan langsung atau hanya diolah menjadi camilan sederhana seperti keripik. Namun, sebenarnya ada potensi besar untuk memproses pisang menjadi produk turunan yang memiliki nilai tambah lebih tinggi. Salah satu olahan abon jantung pisang adalah produk makanan yang terbuat dari jantung pisang yang telah dikeringkan dan diberi campuran bumbu rempah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat di Desa Lombong Timur dengan memanfaatkan strategi pemasaran produk abon jantung pisang. Memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat dalam pengelolaan abon jantung pisang dengan baik. Pemilihan abon jantung pisang didasari oleh adanya sumber daya lokal yang kaya namun belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dalam aspek komersial. Program ini mencakup pelatihan dalam pembuatan abon jantung pisang dengan kualitas tinggi, pengembangan packaging yang menarik serta informatif, dan penerapan strategi pemasaran yang efektif, termasuk dalam ranah digital. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam kualitas produk abon jantung pisang, peningkatan pengetahuan serta keterampilan masyarakat dalam hal pemasaran, dan juga peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat Desa Lombong Timur setelah penerapan strategi yang diajarkan. Selain itu, penting untuk menjamin ketersediaan jantung pisang yang memenuhi standar kualitas dan konsistensi. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui kemitraan dengan petani lokal untuk memastikan penanaman jantung pisang yang berkelanjutan dan berkualitas tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang fokus pada pengembangan strategi pemasaran abon jantung pisang di Desa Lombong Timur telah menunjukkan kemajuan yang nyata. Program ini telah berhasil dalam meningkatkan mutu produk abon jantung pisang melalui standarisasi proses produksinya dan inovasi dalam rasa.

Abstract

Permasalahan limbah organik dari dapur rumah tangga di Desa Saludarian masih menjadi sumber pencemaran lingkungan karena pengelolaan yang kurang efektif. Sebagai upaya peningkatan kesadaran dan keterampilan masyarakat, dilaksanakan sosialisasi pengolahan limbah dapur menjadi eco-enzim dengan metode yang praktis dan ramah lingkungan. Melalui kegiatan edukasi, praktik langsung, serta pendampingan proses fermentasi, warga Desa Saludarian diberikan pengetahuan tentang manfaat eco-enzim sebagai pembersih alami dan pupuk cair, sekaligus diarahkan untuk menerapkan inovasi tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Antusiasme peserta, utamanya ibu rumah tangga dan kelompok muda, menunjukkan keberhasilan program dalam mendorong perubahan perilaku dan budaya pengelolaan sampah mandiri. Sosialisasi ini diharapkan memperkuat upaya menjaga lingkungan sekaligus mewujudkan Desa Saludarian yang sehat, bersih, dan berkelanjuta
