Abstract

Studi literatur ini mengkaji arah dan trend penelitian pendidikan matematika sejalan dengan trend dan temuan baru dalam pendidikan matematika. Topik penelitian pendidikan matematika masa lalu didominasi oleh NCTM dengan fokus ke siswa pendidikan dasar sebagai subjek penelitian. Saat ini topik penelitian pendidikan matematika mengkaji ke arah proses berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa dengan subjek yang merata. Penelitian pendidikan matematika ke depan juga akan mengkaji kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang lebih ditekankan pada kemampuan 4C (creativity, crictical thinking, communication, collaboration). Adanya pandemi covid-19 dan juga penerapan kurikulum kampus merdeka dan merdeka belajar akan berdampak terhadap pendidikan matematika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the ornaments of the Toba Batak house on the concept of geometry. This type of research is qualitative based on ethnomathematics. The research was conducted at the Tobasa Regency Museum T.B Silalahi Center. Analysis of the data used is observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the analysis, it is concluded that the Toba Batak House ornaments are related to the geometric concept, namely pentagons, circles, triangles, transformations, cones, reflections, rectangles, and squares.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the variables of interest and creativity, conceptual understanding and motivation on mathematics learning outcomes for students of class X SMA Medan City. This research is an ex-post facto research which is corrective. The study population was 180 students from two public and two private high schools taken in clusters from several secondary schools in the city of Medan. The sampling technique uses the Slovin formula. The results of the analysis showed that interest in learning mathematics obtained an average score of 76.84 from a maximum value of 100 with a standard deviation of 7.8 and a variance of 61.67. Furthermore, hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis. In conclusion, interest in learning mathematics has an influence on students' mathematics learning outcomes, creativity in learning mathematics has no effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes, mathematics learning motivation has an influence on students' mathematics learning outcomes and understanding of mathematics learning concepts has an influence on mathematics learning outcomes for class X students Medan City High School. Keywords: Geometry, Learning Outcomes, Student Creativity, Interests, Motivation, Concept Understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding of mathematical concepts of students in the material function in Class VIII SMP Negeri Satu Atap Tanjung Balai T.P 2021/2022. This study is a quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were all students of Class VIII SMP Negeri Satu Atap Tanjung Balai consisting of two classes, namely VIII-1 and VIII-2 as many as 64 people, and the sample in this study was Class VIII-1 as many as 32 people taken by cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study using a test instrument description form. Based on the analysis of data obtained shows that in the interval X > 93 there is 1 person with a percentage of 3% and very high ability category, interval 82 < X < 93 there are 6 people with a percentage of 19% with high ability category, interval 70 < X < 82 there are 18 people with a percentage of 56% with medium ability category, interval 59 < X < 70 there are 5 people with a percentage of 16% with low category, interval X < 59 There are 2 people with a percentage of 6% with very low category. So, the ability of students in understanding the concept of material function Class VIII SMP Negeri Satu Atap Tanjung Balai T.P 2021/2022 belongs to the medium category in the interval 70 < X < 82 as many as 18 people with a percentage of 56%..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the category of mathematics teacher's ability to build the ability to understand concepts and instill mathematical problem solving abilities on student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Alasa, and the sample was taken randomly as many as 272 students. The research instrument used a questionnaire, and data analysis used descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the ability of mathematics teachers to build understanding of concepts and instill mathematical problem solving abilities on student learning outcomes in the moderate category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa pada materi himpunan kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Pollung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi exsperimen dengan populasi seluruh kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Pollung. Sampel dalam penelitian terdiri dari 1 kelas (n=36). Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Simple random sampling. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji regresi. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa (1). Ada pengaruh pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa (2). Besar pengaruh pembelajaran dengan model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa adalah 92,3%

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh model Open Ended terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Medan. Adapun Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Medan, dengan sampel yang terdiri dari siswa kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 30 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan instrumen berupa tes uraian yang telah dilakukan uji validitas instrumen serta respon angket siswa. Dari hasil analisis dapat dinyatakan bahwa (1) ada pengaruh model Open Ended terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, (2) besar pengaruhnya terhadap berpikir kritis sebesar 85%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik pada Materi SPLDV kelas VIII SMP Swasta Free Methodist 1 Medan. Dari hasil perhitungan analisis regresi diperoleh persamaan regresi untuk kemampuan komunikasi matematis: Y=-1,65+1,05 X . Untuk uji keberartian regresi kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis diperoleh Fhitung=1490,19 dengan nilai FTabel=4,13 dengan demikian 1490,19>4,13 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga terdapat variabel x mempunyai pengaruh yang kuat dan berarti terhadap variabel Y. Koefisisen korelasi r = 4,090 artinya ada hubungan cukup signifikan antara model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Koefisien determinasi diperoleh hasil yaitu r2 =61,02% yang artinya keberhasilan siswa dipengaruhi oleh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Dari hasil diatas dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh pembelaran dengan model kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitiaan ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh langsung strategi pembelajaran guru dan minat terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa, serta pengaruh langsung strategi pembelajaran guru, minat, dan pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini mengambil subjek siswa kelas VIII di SMP Swasta BNKP Luzamanu dan SMP Negeri 3 Lotu yang berjumlah 169 siswa. Penelitian ini  merupakan penelitian ex-post facto yang bersifat koresional. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes dan angket, kemudian diolah dan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (a). Terdapat pengaruh secara langsung strategi pembelajaran guru dan minat terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa (b). Terdapat pengaruh secara langsung strategi pembelajaran guru, minat, dan pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the better improvement of students' mathematical connection and communication abilities between those participating in learning with the Discovery Learning model and those participating in direct learning, as well as to find out the differences in increasing the mathematical connection and communication abilities of students in high, medium and low groups who take learning with Discovery Learning models. Data analysis used a two-mean difference test to determine better improvement between the experimental class and the control class and one-way ANOVA with the Scheffe test to determine better improvement between the high, medium and low groups. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the increase in the mathematical connection and communication skills of students who take part in learning with the Discovery Learning model is better than students who take part in direct learning. The improvement of students' mathematical connection and communication skills in the middle group was better than the high and low groups who took part in learning using the Discovery Learning model
