Abstract

Sebagian besar siswa menganggap matematika itu sulit karena sifatnya yang abstrak. khususnya pada bidang geometri yang tidak dapat diselesaikan secara manual. Sehingga dibutuhkan media yang dapat memvisualisasikan masalah abstrak pada matematika. Geogebra adalah program yang memungkinkan siswa mendapatkan perasaan intuitif dan membayangkan proses matematika. Geogebra dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika karena didesain khusus untuk materi pengajaran geometri di Sekoah Dasar. Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Geogebra cukup menarik untuk diterapkan karena memiliki beberapa kelebihan. Seperti dapat menghasilkan gambar bangun ruang dengan cepat dan akurat, dapat menghasilkan gerakan manipulasi pada objek bangun ruang, serta mampu menunjukkan sifat-sifat yang berlaku pada suatu objek bangun ruang. Dengan media ini siswa dapat membedakan antara sisi, rusuk, diagonal dari bangun ruang. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat membantu dan memudahkan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar di Sekolah SMP Santo Xaverius 2 Kabanjahe. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengenalkan aplikasi geogebra dalam pembelajaran geometri pada siswa smp santo xaverius 2 kabanjahe, Agar proses pelatihan dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan mudah dipahami oleh mitra, maka dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan, yaitu ceramah, diskusi/tanya jawab, dan praktik lansung serta pendampingan. Pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan bersama dengan kelompok mitra yaitu SMP Santo Xaverius 2 Kabanjahe. Hasil pengabdian yang dilakukan di sekolah SMP Santo Xaverius 2 Kabanjahe diperoleh bahwa siswa merespon kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan dengan baik. Siswa melakukan tutorial penggunaan geogebra di sekolah dengan semangat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar.

Abstract

Karya ilmiah bertujuan untuk menyajikan pengetahuan baru, memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman ilmiah, atau menjelaskan fenomena yang diteliti dengan cara yang sistematis dan terstruktur. Permasalahan prioritas dalam penulisan karya ilmiah dapat sangat memengaruhi kualitas dan keberhasilan penelitian.  Pada tahap pelaksanaan ini dilakukan sesuai dengan hasil diskusi hingga persiapan yang telah disusun sehingga dapat terlaksana sesuai dan tepat. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilaksanakan dengan mengajak guru-guru untuk berpartisipasi dalam menyukseskan program ini agar berjalan dengan baik. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan 1x. Yaitu di hari Rabu, 09 Oktober 2024. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan, dapat ditarik beberapa kesimpulan bahwa Peserta mengetahui bagaimana cara menulisan karya ilmiah dengan mengikuti tahapan-tahapannya dapat sangat mempengaruhi kualitas dan keberhasilan penelitian untuk menigkatkan profesionalisme sebagai seorang guru. Para peserta terlihat sangat antusias dalam mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan. Dari pihak sekolah SD Negeri 020254 Kota Binjai juga menyambut dengan baik dan kegiatan tidak berhenti dan terus berlanjut.

Abstract

We must pay attention to understanding wisely and skillfully in using social media and if possible, this can also provide positive results for using social media. It is also hoped that when getting information via social media, the younger generation must really filter it first so that they can know the truth about the information. We also hope that the millennial generation must have ethics and be competent in using social media. According to Ardiansah and Maharani (2021) social media is a means or forum used to facilitate interaction between fellow users and has the nature of two-way communication, social media is also often used to build a person's self-image or profile, and can also be utilized by companies as media. marketing. Using social media as a marketing medium can be done by uploading photos to social media accounts such as Instagram and then they can be seen by consumers who follow the Instagram account. Do a more in-depth filter first, don't immediately accept the information at face value. The virtual world is very fast, in just a fraction of a second, the information has reached and been read by many people. 71 percent of internet use is among children and teenagers, for this reason supervision is needed from parents and the immediate environment. Parents are also expected to supervise their children and must also have knowledge about the bad effects of social media. Later, open discussions will also need to be held to build ethics in order to create healthy behavior for children in using the internet. Social media seems to have become an addiction for society, especially teenagers. Today's teenagers are synonymous with gadgets that they use almost 24 hours a day. Some of the social media most frequently used by teenagers are Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Line. This is because social media has its own advantages and interests for its users and offers convenience that makes teenagers feel at home using it for a long time. Therefore, there must be education about appropriate use for students, limitations in using social media. The use of social media has become integral to our lives, especially children and teenagers. Abstract

Penelitian ini berupaya menerapkan pendekatan PBL dalam peningkatan literasi pada siswa kelas empat di SD Negeri 027089 Kota Binjai melalui pemanfaatan PowerPoint Interaktif. Metodologi PBL dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam peningkatan kemampuan dalam berpikir kritis untuk pemecahan masalah pada siswa, sedangkan PowerPoint Interaktif digunakan untuk menyajikan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan lebih mudah untuk dapat dipahami oleh siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian dengan menggunakan PTK terdiri atas dua siklus, yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian melibatkan 24 orang siswa kelas empat. Penilaian, dan wawancara untuk menilai peningkatan literasi, data dikumpulkan melalui. Meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemandirian literasi siswa temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan paradigma pembelajaran berbasis masalah, ditambah dengan PowerPoint interaktif pada materi "Indonesiaku Kaya Budaya." Menunjukkan peningkatan keterlibatan, rasa ingin tahu, dan pemahaman terhadap gagasan, observasi dan wawancara menunjukkan. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat dari 55,08% meningkat dari 55,81% menjadi 80,23%. Penerapan PBL dengan PowerPoint interaktif siswa, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh peningkatan skor rata-rata pretest dari 54 menjadi 83 pada posttest.

Abstract

Bullying is an act of oppression or violence carried out by a person or group of people to hurt or corner other people. Bullying can happen to anyone, but is more often done by teenagers. There are several impacts of bullying that need to be aware of because they can affect the mental health of victims and perpetrators, such as triggering emotional disorders, mental problems, sleep disorders, decreased performance, and so on. Psychological violence in question can take the form of: exclusion, rejection, neglect, humiliation, spreading rumors, mocking calls, intimidation, terror, public humiliation, blackmail; and/or, other similar acts. Bullying is physical violence and/or psychological violence as explained previously, which is carried out repeatedly because of unequal power relations. The Impact of Bullying on Victims If it is not stopped immediately, bullying behavior can cause various kinds of mental and physical disorders for victims who experience it, such as: Triggering Mental Problems. The most frequent impact of bullying on victims is triggering mental health problems, such as anxiety disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The effect of bullying on mental health is usually experienced by victims over a long period of time. Sleep disorders Insomnia is also one of the impacts of bullying on victims that should not be underestimated. The reason is, victims of bullying often experience prolonged stress which can cause hyperarousal, namely a condition when the body becomes very alert, disrupting the balance of the sleep and wakefulness cycle. Decreased Achievement Children who experience bullying will usually have difficulty focusing and concentrating while studying. Victims of bullying also often feel reluctant to go to school because they want to avoid the bullying they experience. If left to continue, this condition can have an impact on reducing the child's academic performance. Having Thoughts of Revenge The next impact of bullying on the victim's psychology is having thoughts of revenge. This needs to be watched out for because it can cause someone to commit acts of violence against other people to vent their frustration.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan public speaking pada siswa SD Negeri 027089 Kota Binjai sebagai upaya menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri dan kemampuan komunikasi sejak dini. Fenomena glossophobia atau ketakutan berbicara di depan umum menjadi latar belakang utama kegiatan ini. Melalui pendekatan yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan berpusat pada siswa, program ini mengenalkan konsep, teknik dasar, serta strategi mengatasi rasa gugup dalam public speaking. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pelatihan artikulasi, intonasi suara, penggunaan bahasa tubuh, serta kegiatan praktik langsung seperti presentasi dan diskusi kelompok. Hasil dari program menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa mengenai public speaking, teknik presentasi, serta kepercayaan diri mereka. Data kuantitatif menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap pengertian public speaking (15% menjadi 85%), teknik public speaking (10% menjadi 88%), dan kepercayaan diri (15% menjadi 85%). Program ini juga mendapat respons positif dari pihak sekolah dan siswa. Dengan kegiatan ini, siswa diharapkan mampu menghadapi tantangan masa depan dengan lebih siap, percaya diri, dan memiliki keterampilan komunikasi yang baik. Program ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam mendukung pembentukan karakter dan kompetensi siswa di era komunikasi abad ke-21 Kata Kunci : Public Speaking, Kepercayaan Diri, Siswa Sekolah Dasar, Pengabdian Masyarakat

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of local wisdom-based Social Studies (IPS) learning on increasing students love for their homeland at SD Negeri 040457 Berastagi. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre experimental design of one group pretest posttest. The research subjects consisted of 24 fifthgrade students. The data collection instrument was a test designed to measure the level of love for their homeland before and after the treatment of local wisdom-based IPS learning. The results showed that local wisdom-based IPS learning had a significant effect on increasing students love for their homeland at SD Negeri 040457 Berastagi.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of a local wisdom-based Value Clarification Technique (VCT) model on elementary students’ personality character values in geometry learning. The research addresses the limited integration of character education within cognitively oriented mathematics instruction. The objective is to examine differences in personality character values between students taught using the VCT model integrated with the ulos sadum cultural motif and those receiving conventional instruction. A quantitative true experimental design with a posttest-only control group was employed. A total of 120 fourth-grade students were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire measuring moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. Instrument validity and reliability were confirmed through confirmatory factor Analysis using PLS-SEM. Statistical analyses included normality and homogeneity tests, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression. The results indicate a significant difference between groups, with the experimental group achieving higher character scores. The VCT model accounted for 54.5% of the variance in personality character values. The findings demonstrate that integrating value clarification with culturally contextualised mathematics learning effectively strengthens students’ character development.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools is often teacher-centered, leading students to be less active, quickly bored, and to experience suboptimal learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Game-Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in Science at SD Negeri 040544 Dolat Rayat. The study used a quantitative, quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The research sample comprised 36 students: 20 in the experimental class and 16 in the control class. The main instrument was a 20-item learning outcome test that had undergone validity and reliability testing, with pretest reliability of 0.721 and posttest reliabilities of 0.681 and 0.723 for standardized items. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and inferentially using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the homogeneity test, the paired-samples t-test, and the independent-samples t-test. The results showed that the experimental class's average score increased from 52.75 to 86.05, while the control class's average score increased from 62.19 to 76.94. The hypothesis test shows a significance value of 0.000 and 0.001, as well as the independent-samples t-test post hoc test with a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect of the Game-Based Learning model on students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited use of interactive learning media in Pancasila Education, especially on the topic of village and sub-district government systems, which made students less active and hindered their understanding of the material. The study aimed to develop Flipbook learning media and examine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 040544 Dolat Rayat. The research used the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model, covering analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects were material experts, media experts, teachers, and fourth-grade students. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and learning achievement tests, and were analyzed descriptively using percentages and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the Flipbook media was highly valid, with scores of 97.5% from material experts and 95% from media experts. It was also highly practical, with teacher and student response rates of 92.9% and 85.46%, respectively. In terms of effectiveness, the N-Gain results were 15.63% high, 65.63% medium, and 18.75% low. Therefore, the Flipbook media was considered valid, practical, and effective for Pancasila Education in elementary school.
