Abstract

Education plays an important role in national development where through good education human beings will be born who are able to compete in the era of globalization with high competition in all aspects. In this era of high globalization, everyone must be able to have life skills attached to them, because life skills are an educational effort to increase the capacity and capability of every citizen. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the life skills of the community members learning PKBM Kusuma Bangsa. The research approach used is qualitative and case studies obtained from the results of interviews and observations. Sources of research data were obtained from PKBM heads, tutors and learning residents. The results of the study show that there is a skills program provided to residents learning through handicrafts from bamboo and rattan, which is currently running well and is successful as evidenced by the increase in new skills and knowledge for residents learning package C where graduates have also been able to get jobs and businesses alone.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program Pendidikan Kesetaraan Paket C di PKBM Tunas Bangsa dengan menggunakan metode evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan jenis kualitatif deskripsif, subjek penelitian diambil dari unsur pengelola, tutor dan warga belajar.  Hasil penelitian menjukkan aspek context yakni program yang diselenggarakan sudah cukup sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang ada di masyarakat, Input program yakni sudah sesuai mencakup masukan sarana, masukan mentah dan masukan lainnya. Sedangkan unsur Process, yakni telah dijalankan pembelajaran dengan didukung materi, jadwal, tutor, serta penilaian yang berkelanjutan. Aspek Product telah menunjukkan bahwa warga belajar dan lulusan telah mengalami peningkatan perilaku, sikap, pengetahuan dan kompetensi yang ditunjukkan sebaran lulusan yang diserap pada dunia kerja.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an empowerment model for students’ skills in cultivating pumpkin plants, especially for community education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at University in Palembang. The type of research used was modified with four stages based on the ADDIE process: analyze, design, develop, and implement. The research subjects were Community Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education students and two validators. The researchers conducted a group test with 26 students. Through this test, researchers can discover the weaknesses and shortcomings of the empowerment model based on how students assess the design, scope of material and techniques used. The data were collected using questionnaires. The results showed that at the stage of needs analysis through the distribution of online questionnaires, it was found that students needed this empowerment model to support various activities in the Education Park. Furthermore, the planning stage, which produces a storyboard as the initial design of the product, and the results from the validation test stage for development by validator experts make a total score of 111 with an average percentage of 92.45% and excellent feasibility. These results indicate that the product can be applied at the Education Park Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Students at Sriwijaya University. The next stage is implementation, with the results of product trials in small groups resulting in a total score of 1196 with a percentage of 92%, which indicates that the product is feasible to be applied.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in advancing society through the management of traditional markets in Bulang Village, Muara Enim Regency. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation of six respondents. The results of the study show that BUMDes have succeeded in increasing the income and economy of the community through four objectives of establishment: advancing the village economy, increasing village original income, optimizing local potential, and encouraging growth and economic equality. This has a positive impact on the community's economy. The quality of life in Bulang Village has increased related to: increased income, decent housing, healthy environment, social stability, health, education and job opportunities. Rural economic growth in Bulang Village achieves the characteristics of good economic growth, including rapid per capita product growth, increased community productivity, structure, and a significant level of urbanization. This shows that BUMDes plays an important role in driving the economy and improving the quality of life of village communities

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of craftsmen in innovating purun woven mat products in Tanjung Atap Village, Tanjung Batu District. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the innovation practices carried out by local craftsmen. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study consisted of craftsmen, village government officials, and related stakeholders involved in supporting the development of purun woven mat handicrafts. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to obtain comprehensive findings. The results showed that the craftsmen's innovation ability was reflected in mastering basic weaving techniques, production skills, work experience, product design updates, individual creativity, government support, and availability of raw materials. Craftsmen also demonstrated adaptability to market demands by modifying products according to consumer preferences. The innovations carried out include changes in shape, motif, color, and size of products to increase product attractiveness, functionality, and market value. These innovations also contribute to improving product competitiveness and expanding marketing opportunities. The findings indicate that the craftsmen's innovation ability has developed, although it has not yet been optimal. Several challenges are still faced, such as limited training, lack of product diversification, and limited market access. Therefore, continuous support is needed through training, product development assistance, and marketing expansion. Keywords: Craftsmen Ability, Innovation, Purun Mat, Community Empowermen ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pengrajin dalam melakukan inovasi pada kerajinan anyaman tikar purun di Desa Tanjung Atap Kecamatan Tanjung Batu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggali praktik inovasi yang dilakukan oleh pengrajin lokal. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari pengrajin, pemerintah desa, serta pihak terkait yang mendukung pengembangan kerajinan anyaman tikar purun. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk memperoleh temuan penelitian secara komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan inovasi pengrajin terlihat dari penguasaan teknik dasar anyaman, keterampilan proses produksi, pengalaman kerja, pembaruan desain produk, kreativitas individu, dukungan pemerintah, serta ketersediaan bahan baku. Pengrajin juga menunjukkan kemampuan beradaptasi terhadap kebutuhan pasar dengan melakukan modifikasi produk sesuai preferensi konsumen. Inovasi yang dilakukan meliputi perubahan bentuk, motif, warna, dan ukuran produk guna meningkatkan daya tarik, fungsi, serta nilai jual produk. Inovasi tersebut turut meningkatkan daya saing produk dan memperluas peluang pemasaran. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan inovasi pengrajin telah berkembang, namun belum optimal. Beberapa kendala masih dihadapi seperti terbatasnya pelatihan, kurangnya diversifikasi produk, serta keterbatasan akses pasar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan berkelanjutan melalui pelatihan, pendampingan pengembangan produk, dan perluasan pemasaran. Abstract

This study aims to analyze parenting patterns in shaping children's education within families of commercial sex workers (CSWs) in Permata Baru Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the dominant parenting style is authoritarian, influenced by limited time, economicconditions, and the social environment. Parents’ low educational background and social stigma also affect children's educational development. The study concludes that children's education in CSW families is influenced by both family and social environmental factors, requiring support from various parties to create a conducive educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies of Karang Taruna in increasing youth social participation in Timbangan Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, which is motivated by the low level of youth involvement in social community activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of the study is on organizational strategies including planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities. The results show that the strategies implemented have not been optimal due to the lack of program innovation, weak organizational communication, and low youth involvement in activities. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen strategies through the development of more engaging programs, improved communication, and active member involvement in order to increase youth social participation optimally and sustainably

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana pembelajaran Pramuka wajib berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Palembang. Latar belakang penelitian ini menekankan urgensi pendidikan karakter dalam dunia pendidikan, dengan disiplin sebagai salah satu indikator utama keberhasilannya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Dari total populasi sebanyak 385 siswa, sebanyak 196 siswa dipilih sebagai sampel melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen angket dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan serangkaian uji statistik, seperti uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, regresi linier sederhana, serta koefisien determinasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik termasuk dalam kategori sangat aktif mengikuti pembelajaran Pramuka wajib (53,27%), sementara tingkat kedisiplinan siswa berada dalam kategori disiplin (51,72%). Uji regresi mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh signifikan antara pembelajaran Pramuka wajib terhadap karakter disiplin siswa, dengan nilai thitung 11,221 dan signifikansi < 0,001. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 39,4% menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Pramuka wajib memberikan kontribusi yang cukup besar terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin. Oleh karena itu, implementasi pembelajaran Pramuka wajib terbukti penting dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kedisiplinan dan perlu terus ditingkatkan di lingkungan sekolah.
