Abstract

Abstract: Speech acts have an impact on student motivation and engagement in learning. Teachers use the speech act quite varied. However, speech acts are performed predominantly by the directive speech act. The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the form of directive speech acts teacher, (2) describe the politeness principle used in teacher directive speech act, (3) describe the context of the use of the principle of modesty in speech acts directive teachers, (4) describe the response of students to the directive speech acts on learning Indonesian teacher in Senior High School 15 Padang. The results of this study indicate that teachers perform direc0ive speech acts ordered by using the maxim of wisdom and maxims on the situation said the deal is not sensitive topics and classes in noisy circumstances. Student response consists of a positive response of the student in response to the type of speech act teacher told the maxim of wisdom in the context of the situation said the topic was not sensitive and conducive situation, and negative responses tend to be aimed at the teacher told directive speech acts that use the maxim of wisdom on the situation said topics insensitive and unconducive situation. That teachers perform speech acts sent using wisdom and maxims in the context of the situation said the deal was not a sensitive topic and the noisy atmosphere resulted in a directive speech act that has been done the teacher in the learning becomes mannered as impressed forcing students in learning.   Kata kunci: kesantunan, tindak tutur direktif, pembelajaran, SMA

Abstract

Adolescents as individuals have readiness and planning to start a family which can be expressed in the form of scientific work. The problem that arises among some teenagers is the lack of ability of teenagers to express their ideas and thoughts about family readiness and planning in the form of scientific work. The aim of the activity is to improve teenagers' understanding and skills regarding the rules for writing scientific papers, especially mastery of material, article writing skills and skills in exploring references in writing scientific papers about family readiness and planning. The activity method is carried out through technical assistance through classical, individual and group approaches. The informants were teenagers under the guidance of the Youth Resilience Working Group of the West Sumatra Province BKKBN Representative Office. Data was collected through interviews and documentation, then processed qualitatively with a descriptive approach. Based on the evaluation results, it can be stated that this activity has been carried out well and smoothly. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the activity and the number of articles that have been provided with improvement consultation services. Through technical assistance activities, teenagers can master the material and have the skills to write scientific articles related to family readiness and planning, as well as have the skills to access references and journals with indicators of youth participation in exploring references from various articles and participation in studying the journals where the articles are published. Problems that occur internally and externally have also been addressed with a number of actions and input. Adopting technical assistance in writing scientific papers for activities with different substance is highly recommended unless there are significant differences in participant characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of Deddy Corbuzier's illocutionary speech acts in his video podcast, so the focus of the problem related to this research is how Deddy Corbuzier's illocutionary speech acts are formed. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data in this study are illocutionary speech acts conveyed by Deddy Corbuzier in videos on his YouTube account. Based on the results of the study, it was found that in the utterances expressed by Deddy Corbuzier on his YouTube video content which was used as a data source, there were 32 forms of illocutionary speech acts, namely declaration, directive, expressive, representative, and commissive speech acts. The forms of speech acts that are often found in this study are expressive and representative speech acts.

Abstract

Pendekatan semiotika dalam karya sastra yaitu puisi bertujuan agar dapat memahami makna yang terkandung dalam puisi, serta dapat menangkap dan memberi makna pada teks puisi. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk semiotika social dalam kumpulan puisi Batu Ibu karya Warih Wisatsana. Jenis penelitan ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata, kalimat dan dialog yang berhubungan dengan semiotika social dalam kumpulan puisi Batu Ibu karya Warih Wisatsana. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan puisi Puisi Batu Ibu Karya Warih Wisatsana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semiotika sosial yang terdapat dalam kumpulan puisi Batu Ibu adalah perspektif semiotika sosial yaitu: Pertama, Medan wacana yaitu hal yang menjadi fokus kajian. Kedua, pelibat wacana, pelibat wacana yang terdapat pada puisi Batu Ibu karya Warih Wisatsana umunya adalah tokoh Aku yang merupakan selaku pembuat wacana serta terdapat beberapa objek yang di bahas oleh tokoh Aku. Ketiga, Sarana wacana yang terdapat dalam kumpulan puisi Batu Ibu karya Warih Wisatsana yaitu terlihat dari penggunaa bahasa dan penekanan bahasa yang disampaikan penulis dengan intonasi yang tegas serta banyak menggunakan gaya bahasa personifikasi, kiasan dan sindiran.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode korelasional dengan teknik penarikan sampel purposive sampling. Penarikan sampel dilakukan berdasarkan kelas yang memiliki standar deviasi terendah. Sampel penelitian ini satu kelas, peserta didik kelas XI SMA N 2 Solok Selatan dengan jumlah sampel 28 orang. Instrumen penelitian adalah angket dan tes unjuk kerja. Angket digunakan untuk minat baca cerpen dan tes unjuk kerja digunakan untuk keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Solok Selatan.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan. Pertama, minat baca cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Solok Selatan dengan rata-rata hitung 74,62 berada pada kriteria Cukup dengan rentang nilai 66-75% pada skala 10 .Kedua keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Solok Selatan dengan rata-rata hitung 77,38 berada pada kriteria Baik 76-85% pada skala 10. Ketiga hubungan minat baca cerpen dengan keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Solok Selatan, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan bahwa rhitung >rtabel yaitu 2,34 >1,70.
