Abstract

CV. Rasya Jaya is a traditional fishing boat manufacturing company located in Padang Seurahet, Kec. Johan Pahlawan, Aceh Barat Regency. The facility layout of CV. Rasya Jaya has several workstations that are not in the correct location for the production process or the relationship between related rooms. This results in inefficient and ineffective material handling, as well as reduced worker comfort. The poorly organized facilities also contribute to production constraints. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the production facility layout at CV. Rasya Jaya. The goal is to provide an alternative design for the production facility layout that is more efficient and effective in terms of the relationship between the production process flow and minimizing material flow in the production process. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal layout at CV. Rasya Jaya using the Blocplan algorithm. Blocplan-90 is an algorithm for solving spatial layout problems that can handle both quantitative and qualitative data. Mathematical models within the design are developed with computer applications for models that work with the limitations of workstation shapes. Based on the results of the layout design of facilities at CV. Rasya Jaya, three main layouts were created: office layout, facility layout, and production layout. The total area of the three layouts is 1739 m2.

Abstract

Facility layout is an important aspect in planning and developing production facilities. A good layout can increase efficiency, productivity and safety in the production process. The Blocplan algorithm is a layout design method that can produce an efficient layout. This method uses a heuristic algorithm to find layouts based on having the highest R-Score value. The Blocplan algorithm has been applied in various industries in Indonesia because of its advantages which can produce a more efficient layout compared to the initial layout. Based on this, it is necessary to study the use of the Blocplan algorithm in designing facility layouts in various industries in Indonesia. This review aims to determine the use of the Blocplan algorithm in designing facility layouts in various industries in Indonesia. The review results show that layout design using the Blocplan algorithm can produce a layout that is more efficient than the initial layout. It was found that several related industries in Indonesia can use the Blocplan algorithm in redesigning facility layouts, including the pharmaceutical industry, construction project implementation, food industry, steel or iron industry, spring bed production, PVC production, transformer production, valve production, production trolleys, corn milling, feed processing, plastic recycling, garment or convection industry, robotization industry, coffee production, paper production, brick production, and wood processing.

Abstract

PT. Beurata Subur Persada (BSP) is a crude palm oil (CPO) producer based in Babah Dua Village, Tadu Raya District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh. PT BSP employs 103 people across various production stations, including presses, threshers, sterilizers, and trucks.The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method is being used in this study to determine damage to PT. Beurata Subur Persada's press station. The FMEA approach is used to assess probable failures in the manufacturing process, determining their severity, frequency of occurrence, and detection capabilities. This study focuses on gathering machine damage data from November 6 to December 6 of 2023 and evaluating it to determine the Risk Priority Number (RPN) value, which will be used to indicate the priority repairs required. This research aims to make recommendations for future damage repair and prevention, as well as improve the company's reliability and efficiency in operations.

Abstract

PT. Rigis Beukarya Property is a developer and contractor for housing projects in the West Aceh region. Housing projects that are implemented often experience obstacles in the construction of the project, such as over budget from the predetermined RAB, repeated repairs, materials that are ordered late, and exposure to bad weather which results in large losses due to these obstacles. The aim of this research is to identify risks in the Grand Keutapang housing development process, and mitigate the dominant risks in the Grand Keutapang housing development process. The House of risk (HOR) method is used to solve this problem by identifying risk events, risk agents and also designing risk agent mitigation strategies based on Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP) values. The results obtained from the house of risk stage 1 risk mapping show that there are 5 dominant risk agents that will be taken into consideration in developing mitigation actions, namely: A-14 (Lack of coordination between parties involved) with an ARP value of 3,384, A-1 (Incompetent/careful workforce) with an ARP value of 1,800, A-12 (Fluctuating company financial cash flow) with an ARP value of 826 , A-15 (Lack of supervision in the field) with an ARP value of 777, and A-8 (Increase in material prices) with an ARP value of 696. From the results of the house of risk phase 2 risk mapping, 5 risk mitigation action plans were obtained, including: PA-1 (Creating a monitoring and sanctions system) with an ETDk value of 5,961, PA-2 (Creating a standard diary (buhas)) with an ETDk value of 3,331, PA-3 (Creating a complete checklist) with an ETDk value of 6,236, PA - 4 (Making adaptive cost estimates) with an ETDk value of 4,270, and PA-5 (Improving the effectiveness of communication with all parties) with an ETDk value of 8.427.

Abstract

AbstractReliability of production systems is very important because any breakdown or failure can lead to reduced productivity, increased costs and even restoration of the company's reputation. Attention to system reliability in various industries has increased significantly. The industry recognizes that production system reliability can improve operational efficiency, reduce production downtime, and minimize losses from failures. Therefore, the implementation of the reliability system is a priority in efforts to increase the performance and competitiveness of each industry. The purpose of this study is to determine the use of engine reliability evaluation techniques in various industries in Indonesia. This study uses a literature review method from various published articles which are then identified and analyzed by focusing on the results of the use of reliability evaluation techniques in various industries in Indonesia. The results of the study found that many industries in Indonesia have used reliability techniques, especially in industries that use a lot of machines in their production systems. In addition, current technological developments can be utilized for the development of reliability evaluation techniques such as by utilizing meta-heuristic algorithms, utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), or by using blockchain technology to predict machine breakdown and repair times to obtain optimal results. Keywords:Reliability; machine; industry; time to failure; time to repair.  AbstrakKeandalan sistem produksi menjadi krusial karena setiap gangguan atau kegagalan dapat menyebabkan penurunan produktivitas, peningkatan biaya, dan bahkan merugikan reputasi perusahaan. Perhatian terhadap sistem keandalan pada berbagai industri telah meningkat secara signifikan. Industri menyadari bahwa keandalan sistem produksi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mengurangi waktu henti produksi, dan meminimalkan kerugian akibat kegagalan. Oleh karena itu, implementasi sistem keandalan telah menjadi prioritas dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja dan daya saing setiap industri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui penggunaan teknik evaluasi keandalan mesin pada berbagai industri yang ada di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sistematik kajian literatur dari berbagai artikel yang telah terbit yang kemudian diidentifikasi dan di analisis dengan berfokus pada hasil penggunaan teknik evaluasi keandalan pada berbagai industri di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa telah banyak industri di Indonesia menggunakan teknik keandalan, khususnya pada industri yang banyak menggunakan mesin dalam sistem produksinya. Selain itu, perkembangan teknologi saat ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pengembangan teknik evaluasi keandalan seperti dengan memanfaatkan algoritma metaheuristic, pemanfaatan artificial intelligent (AI), ataupun dengan penggunaan teknologi blockchain dalam memprediksi waktu terjadinya kerusakan dan perbaikan mesin untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimal. Kata Kunci:            Kendalan; mesin; industri; waktu antar kerusakan; waktu antar perbaikan.

Abstract

Community service activities are a medium for delivering science and technology to the community. This community service is carried out by a lecturer in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Teuku Umar University. The theme of this community service is the importance of promoting schools in order to increase the number of students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this community service is to provide an overview to the foundation about the importance of introducing the profile of the foundation to the surrounding community, and as an effort to increase the number of new students at the Makmue Raya Foundation. Participants in this community service are foundation administrators, teachers and students of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) and Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) under the auspices of the Makmue Raya foundation, totaling 83 people. Community service participants participated in the socialization in the form of lectures, discussions and questions and answers about the importance of school promotion during the COVID-19 pandemic. The output of this community service is as basic knowledge about school promotion to foundations, and can introduce school promotion methods during the covid-19 pandemic to foundations.

Abstract

Pembuatan kapal adalah proses manufaktur multi-tahap dengan berbagai sumber yang khas dengan fungsi kompleks dan membutuhkan kualitas konstruksi yang tinggi. Beberapa hal penting dalam pengendalian kualitas pembuatan kapal seperti perencanaan pada desain kapal, material yang digunakan, dan metode pengendalian kualitas. Era globalisasi menuntut industri galangan kapal terus meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pada proses produksinya, sehingga mampu bersaing dari segi quality, cost dan on time delivery (QCD). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui berbagai metode pengendalian kualitas pada proses manufaktur kapal diberbagai negara di dunia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sistematik kajian literatur dari berbagai artikel yang telah terbit yang kemudian diidentifikasi dan di analisis yang berfokus pada berbagai metode pengendalian kualitas pada proses manufaktur kapal. Beberapa metode diperoleh berdasarkan hasil pencarian, diantaranya adalah function-oriented quality control (FOQC), quantitative evaluation method, artificial intelligence, toyota production system (TPS), tacheometer sensors, design point generation method, dimensional & accuracy control automation, a differentiation-based approach, computer-based applications, statistical process control (SPC), inspection test plan (ITP), multi-layer quality function deployment (QFD). Industri perkapalan akan terus menghadapi berbagai tantangan di masa depan, termasuk persaingan global yang semakin ketat, tuntutan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas, serta perubahan teknologi.

Abstract

Production machines are specially designed to perform various tasks such as processing, assembly, packaging and more depending on the type of production and the industry involved. However, damage to production machines is unavoidable with such a task. Machine damage can occur due to various factors, such as excessive use, inadequate maintenance, worn components, design errors and many more. Damage to the machine certainly raises risks, both measurable risks and immeasurable risks. The risk of machine failure can have a serious impact on the productivity, reliability and operating costs of a business. The use and application of risk analysis methods or approaches can be used to minimize the occurrence of excessive risk. The purpose of this research is to find out various methods of risk analysis of production machine damage in various industries in Indonesia. This research uses a systematic method by reviewing the literature from various published articles which are then identified and analyzed which focus on various production machine damage risk methods used in various industries in Indonesia. The results of the study show that there are several methods of analyzing the risk of damage to production machines that are commonly used in Indonesia, such as failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA, FMECA, fuzzy FMEA), risk based maintenance (RBM), fault tree analysis (FTA), fishbone diagram, enterprise risk management (ERM), failure tracking matrix (FTM), total quality control (TQM), logic tree analysis (LTA), overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), Hazard operability (Hazop), and certainty factor and forward chaining. Some of these methods are generally integrated with various other methods or approaches to obtain optimal results.

Abstract

CV. Rezeki Bersama is a producer of crude coconut oil (CCO) based in Alus-alus Village, Teupah Selatan District, Simeulue Regency, Aceh. CV. Rezeki Bersama employs 15 people at various production stations, including press machines. In practice, this research uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to determine the damage that occurred at the press station of the joint rezeki factory. The FMEA approach is used to assess the likelihood of failure in a manufacturing process, determining its severity, frequency of occurrence, and detectability. This study focuses on collecting machine damage data from January 3 to February 3 2024 and evaluating it to determine the Risk Priority Number (RPN) value which will be used to indicate the priority of repairs needed. This research aims to provide recommendations for repair and prevention of damage in the future, as well as increasing the reliability and efficiency of the company's operations.

Abstract

The existence of a Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) is very important in maintaining the continuity of the clean water treatment process running smoothly and well. Maintenance of clean water distribution machines and equipment is a matter that requires attention because damage to one of the machines or equipment can cause a cessation of processing activities which results in losses for companies and services. Damage to the water distribution machine in PDAM Tirta Mountala is unavoidable and this happens frequently. This happens because the damage is not properly identified, either in preventive maintenance or in anticipating appropriate action. The purpose of this study is to identify the cause of the damage and propose maintenance actions on the clean water distribution pump machine in PDAM Tirta Montala Aceh Besar. The failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and logic tree analysis (LTA) approaches are used to anticipate this. FMEA is an approach used to identify and analyze potential failures and their consequences. Meanwhile, LTA aims to prioritize each damage mode and carry out reviews and functions, malfunctions so that the damage mode status is not the same. There are eighteen water distribution pump components with the highest damage frequency. Based on the results of the FMEA, five components with the highest RPN or the highest risk were obtained, namely the vane, stuffing box, bearing bracket support, shaft and bearing components. The five components were then analyzed through LTA and maintenance tasks with several proposed actions including repair, component replacement, welding, thermography, and re-measurement with a vibration meter.
