Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa peningkatan ketahanan aus baja karbon rendah dengan metode carburizing.  media carburizing digunakan serbuk arang batok kelapa dan  material baja.Hasil pengujian keausan menunjukaan bahwa semakin tinggi temperatur proses carburizing akan menghasilkan ketahanan aus spesifik yang lebih baik dan Pada proses carburizing dengan temperatur 9500C yang dilanjutkan dengan proses pengerasan pada temperatur  8400C memberikan peningkatan ketahanan aus tertingggi sebesar  83,6% dibandingkan dengan ketahanan aus raw material

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pengelasan karyawan Bengkel Arema di Desa Sibedi, Kecamatan Marawola, Kabupaten Sigi, yang meskipun telah memiliki keterampilan dasar, masih minim pengetahuan terkait teknik pengelasan yang benar, pemanfaatan teknologi pengelasan, dan penerapan Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3). Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan, bimbingan teknis, pendampingan, dan pembinaan dengan pendekatan partisipatif, melibatkan kelompok sasaran secara aktif dalam setiap tahap kegiatan. Hasil program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai pengetahuan peserta dari 65 pada pre-test menjadi 85 pada post-test, serta 90% hasil las peserta lolos uji kualitas penetrant test tanpa cacat signifikan. Meskipun demikian, ditemukan beberapa tantangan, seperti perbedaan tingkat pengalaman peserta yang memengaruhi hasil praktik dan keterbatasan alat yang tersedia di lapangan. Program ini memberikan dampak signifikan bagi ekonomi lokal, dengan karyawan bengkel lebih percaya diri menerima proyek yang lebih kompleks, serta meningkatkan daya saing usaha mereka di pasar lokal. Selain itu, penerapan K3 yang diperkuat melalui program ini menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman, meningkatkan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan karyawan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the phenomena that occur due to projectile penetration on fiber metal laminate. Ballistic testing was carried out experimentally according to National Institute of Justice standards (NIJ Standard 0101.06 level III-A) using a 9 mm full-metal jacket projectile with a normal angle of attack (90° to the target). The results showed that fiber metal laminate could withstand the projectile rate by penetrating the first layer (aluminum plate) and the second layer (aramid/epoxy), while the last layer was deformed to form a bulge. The pierced aluminum plate is characterized by petalling failure. Meanwhile, the aramid/epoxy was penetrated by the projectile with failure of the primary yarn to break the fiber.
