Abstract

ABSTRACTTuberculosis (TB) is a pulmonary contagious infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis that attacks the lungs. The high level of pulmonary TB cases in Indonesia indicate that measure is necessary to decrease the rate of transmission. Transmission of pulmonary TB disease can be prevented if the patient had pulmonary TB good behavior towards prevention of the spread of pulmonary tuberculosis disease. Behavior is composed of three, namely knowledge, attitudes and measure. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes and measure pulmonary TB patient to prevention household contacs in community health centers of Airtiris District Kampar Province Riau. The study was conducted in February-May 2015. Samples are 39 respondents pulmonary TB patients who have met the inclusion criteria. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that the respondents have a poor knowledge of as many as 25 people (64.1%) negative attitudes / not good as many as 28 people (28.2%) and measure quite as many as 20 people (51.3%).Keywords: Pulmonary tuberculosis, knowledge, attitude and preventive measures of pulmonary TB disease, pulmonary TB patients.

Abstract

ABSTRACTNutrition is one of the important factors that determine the level of health and harmony between physical and mental development. During development of the child, nutritional adequacy is absolute thing that must always be considered by parent. School children in general are in a period of very rapid growth, that nutrition plays an important role in the development of the child. The aim of this study was to describe the nutritional status of elementary school students in the district Rangsang Kepulauan Meranti, so that further action can be done if it is found that if the nutrition problem requires intervention by the parties concerned. This is a descriptive study using cluster sampling method which number of samples obtained are 210 people who carried out the calculation of BMI by measuring height and weight. Retrieving data using anthropometric methods based on the table KEPMENKES No. 1995 / Menkes / SK / XII / 2010 on Standards Anthropometric Assessment Nutritional Status of Children with BMI per age, then the nutritional status divided into malnutrition, underweight, normal, overweight and obese. The results obtained normal nutritional status as the highest value are 151 (71.9%), nutritional status of underweight are 26 people (12.4%), nutritional status is malnutrition are 13 people (6.2%), nutritional status overweight are 13 people (6.2%) and obesity nutritional status of 7 people (3.3%).Keywords: nutrition, nutritional status, primary school children

Abstract

Physical fitness is a fundamental element being a human. A fit and healthy body helped us to maintain focus while studying, leads to excellent understanding and ability to solve a problem. This research aimed to discover the relationship of knowledge and attitude of faculty of medicine, university of riau students to their physical fitness level. This analytic research used a cross sectional design to 86 sample of faculty of medicine, university of riau students. This research used Harvard Step Test as the method to measure the fitness level and a valid questionnaire to assess the knowledge and attitude aspects. The result is 51 students (59.3 %) had a good knowledge, 46 students (53.5%) had a negative, and 71 students (82.6 %) had a bad physical fitness. From statistical point of view found p=1.031 for the relation between knowledge and physical fitness p=0.437 for the relation between attitude and physical fitness.Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Physical Fitness, Harvard Step Test

Abstract

ABSTRACTNutritional problem is still to be one of the health problem currently encountered Indonesia. Primary school children is one of the group that is susceptible to nutritional problem, underweight and overweight. The growth of primary school children who optimal associated with providing nutrition with the right quality and quantity. The purpose of this study was to describe the nutritional status in children of primary school in Laksamana and Selat Guntung at Sabak Auh, Siak. This research is a descriptive study with cross-sectional design. Respondents in this research were students in grade 1 to grade 6 which consists of 268 people chosen by total sampling method. Data were collected by questionnaire filled out by the parents of the respondents to determine student characteristics data and calculate BMI by measuring height and weight to measure the nutritional status of students. Nutritional status is divided into malnutrition, underweight, normal, overweight and obese based on anthropometric standard with BMI/U indicator. The data showed that normal nutritional status as the highest value were 178 people (66.4%), followed by underweight nutritional status were 39 people (14.6%), obese nutritional status were 26 people (9.7%), malnutrition nutritional status were 13 people (4.9%) and obese nutritional status were 12 people (4.5%).Keywords : children of school age, nutrition, nutritional status

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a lung parenchyma infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and transmission through droplet. New case of TB is a patient who has never had treatment for TB or who has taken anti-TB drugs for less than one month. Cured is patient who was completed treatment with sputum smear-negative in the last month of treatment and at least on one previous occasion. This research was a descriptive study using retrospective appoarchment, which was conducted in the TB-01 form and ward patients. Sample collected from 36 patients that included in inclusion criteria. The results showed that patients new case of pulmonary tuberculosis declared cured in lung department of arifin achmad hospital showed large proportion in the age group 35-44 and 45-54 years (respectively 22,2%), the most gender is male (55,6%), most level education is senior high school (58,3%), most work is entrepreneur (77,7%),most drugs swallowing control (PMO) is any PMO (86,1%), most regularity of taking medicine is regularly (61,1%), most regimen anti tuberculosis is KDT/FDC (94,4%), most sputum reexamination is disobedience (58,3%), and most BTA (basil tahan asam) inspection result is BTA (+) (100%).Key word :Tuberculosis (TB), new case, cured

Abstract

ABSTRACTVegetarian is a lifestyle that does not consume meat, poultry, or fish and derivedproducts. The only vegetarian foods derived from plants except the lacto vegetarian, ovovegetarians and lacto-ovo vegetarians who still eat eggs, milk and other dairy products. In thefuture age children during growth and development of nutritional intake is essential, not onlyto sustain life but to the process of growth and development. occur concern for body weightand body shape. Protein and vitamin B12 important moment in the growth and growingchildren. Protein and vitamin B12 deficiency will cause vitamin B12 deficiency can interferewith the growth in children and nervous system resulting in symptoms of ignorance, anemia,irritability, or offended. This descriptive study aimed to describe the adequate intake ofprotein and vitamin B12 in vegetarian children in elementary school (SD) Metta Maitreya.The sample used in this study is total sampling. Adequate intake of protein and vitamin B12was assessed by using the FFQ (Food Frequency Questionnaire). Of the 34 samples found thenumber of women (55%) more in comparison to men (45%), age group 7-9 years were themost (56%), while those undergoing Lacto-ovo vegetarian diet as much (68%) and vegetarianin the womb as much as 67%, while the protein intake of 100% is said to intake more. Abstract

ABSTRACTNutrition in the early adolescents is a matter that must be considered. Many impacts that will be experienced by adolescents when malnutrition. Adolescents who are malnutrition will affect reproduction, in adolescent who experience obesity will be at risk of degenerative diseases. The purpose of this study is to describe the nutritional status of SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru. This research were 290 students from grade VII and VIII consisting of 100 boys and 190 girls were taken with quota sampling technique. Data were colected by questionnaire filled out by respondents to assess student characteristics data and calculate BMI by measuring weight and height to get nutritionaly measuring weight and height to get nutritional status of students. Nutritional status is divided into malnutrition, underweight, normal, overweight and obesity based on standard anthropometric indicators BMI per age. The result of this study a normal nutritional status is 172 students (59%), followed by the nutritional status of overweight were 66 students (23%), obesity were 29 students (10%), underweight were 19 students (7%) and malnutrition were 4 students (1%)..Keywords :nutritional status, nutrient, early adolescents

Abstract

ABSTRACT Obesity is a multifactorial disease, caused by excessive accumulation of fat tissue, which can damage the health. Many factors can influence the occurrence of obesity, including age, sex, diet and physical activity. Diet is the way or the behavior of a person or group of people in choosing, using food ingredients in food consumption on a daily basis based on the type of food, amount of food and frequency of consumption. The aim of this study is to describe the characteristics of respondents by sex nutritional status, energy intake and macro-nutrients (carbohydrates, protein, fat) and physical activity in adolescents in SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. This research is an analytical study with cross sectional study design. The population studied were students of class X and XI SMAN 5 Pekanbaru obese with a sample size of 40 people and non-obese with a sample size of 40 people. This research instrument uses a measuring tape as a measuring tool and questionnaire. Results of the analysis of the number of respondents 80 people, consists of 30 men and 50 women. Based on the results obtained in the energy intake of 20 people declared quite tends risky adolescent obesity, based on macro nutrients mostly shows the macro nutrient intake (carbohydrate, protein, fat) fairly and in others a high intake of protein intake showed that in 20 (95.2 %) adolescents were high protein intake. Compared to non-obese adolescents showed 40 people had less energy intake.
