Abstract

Some researchers often collect features so the principal information does not lose. However, many features sometimes cause problems. The truth of analysis results will decrease because of the irrelevant or repetitive features. To overcome it, one of the solutions is feature selection. They are divided into two, namely supervised and unsupervised learning. In supervised, the feature selection can only be carried out on data containing labels. Meanwhile, in unsupervised, there are three approaches correlation, configuration, and variance. This study proposes an unsupervised feature selection by combining correlation and configuration using multidimensional scaling (MDS). The proposed algorithm is MDS-Clustering, which uses hierarchical and non-hierarchical clustering. The result of MDS-clustering is compared with the existing feature selection. There are three schemes in the comparison process, namely, 75\%, 50\%, and 25\% feature selected. The dataset used in this study is the UCI dataset. The validities used are the goodness-of-fit of the proximity matrix (GoFP) and the accuracy of the classification algorithm. The comparison results show that the feature selection proposed is certainly worth recommending as a new approach in the feature selection process. Besides, on certain data, the algorithm can outperform the existing feature selection.

Abstract

The ability to write reputable article is an essential competency for academics and researchers. One of the requirements for an article to be said to be reputable is that it be published in a reputable international journal with a particular writing style. One of the writing styles presented is the LaTeX format. The advantages of this format, compared to others, are its stable, dynamic and efficient characteristics. In addition, LaTex is open source. Nevertheless, the implementation of the LaTeX format is not yet popular enough for certain groups, especially academics in Indonesia. Therefore, training was carried out in preparing reputable articles using LaTeX. This training is specifically for Indonesian students who are studying at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia based on their need. The training was held on May 4 2024 at 08.00 Malaysian standard time. The method used was teaching and discussing carried out online. Evaluation have been carried out based on the number of participants, formative test, and the participant responses. From the evaluation results, it is known that there were 31 participants. The average score on the formative test was 61.29. In addition, the dominant of participants strongly agreed with the usefulness of this training, where 16 (45.7%) participants giving positive comments. Meanwhile 10 (28.5%) participants provided suggestions, and the rest were neutral.

Abstract

The prediction of gold prices is crucial for investors and policymakers due to its significant impact on global financial markets. Machine learning and deep learning have been used for predicting gold prices on time series data. This study employs MLR, SVM and CNN LSTM with Fibonacci retracement levels to forecast gold prices based on time series data. The experiment results demonstrate that combining Fibonacci retracement with model prediction significantly enhances predictive performance compared to prediction without Fibonacci. The use of Fibonacci levels has resulted in a higher R² score and lower RMSE score showing that Fibonacci levels influence the accuracy of gold price predictions and strengthen the overall reliability of gold price forecasts. The findings underscore the potential of combining machine learning models with technical analysis tools in financial forecasting. Integrating the Fibonacci retracement level offers valuable insights for market participants, enabling more informed investment decisions and effective risk management strategies.

Abstract

Sistem ini merupakan sistem pakar yang dirancang untuk mendiagnosa jenis-jenis penyakit gigi yang disertai dengan basis pengetahuan menggunakan metode Forward Chaining. Pengetahuan mengenai penyakit ini didapat dari berbagai sumber diantaranya wawancara dengan pakar, data-data dari internet dan juga dari berbagai buku. Sistem pakar ini akan memberikan beberapa pertanyaan kepada user sesuai dengan kriteria-kriteria penyakit, pertanyaan akan terus berlangsung hingga sistem mendapatkan sebuah kriteria yang mewakili suatu penyakit. Hasil akhir sistem pakar ini akan menampilkan penyakit yang diderita user serta solusi yang dapat dilakukan.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk sosialisasi bagaimana pentingnya penerapan sistem informasi akuntansi dan manfaat penggunaan sistem informasi akuntansi didalam Usaha Resto Martabak Mesir H.Wan. Resto Martabak Mesir H.Wan sebelumnya masih menggunakan pencatatan manual  akuntansi kas keluar sehingga proses akuntansinya membutuhkan waktu yang lama dan juga sering terjadi kesalahan. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka dibuatlah sistem akuntansi Kas keluar menggunakan MYOB dengan mempertimbangkan biaya produksi dan biaya bahan baku agar dapat menghasilkan keuntungan yang lebih banyak serta dapat menerapkan sistem pencatatan keuangan sesuai dengan standar akuntansi yang berlaku. Dalam Pengabdian Masyarakat kali ini, ada 4 tahapan untuk metode yang telah dilalui yang terdiri dari persiapan, implementasi kegiatan, evaluasi dan laporan. Hasil dari PKM ini menunjukkan lebih kurang 75 % meningkatnya pemahaman karyawan tentang penerapan Sistem Informasi Akuntansi di Resto Martabak H.Wan ,mengetahui manfaat, tujuan, dan keuntungan dalam menambah pengetahuan tentang penerapan Sistem Informasi Akuntansi dalam pencatatan pengeluaran kas.

Abstract

Information technology has been used by all aspects of life and has become an inseparable part of all community activities, especially in the business world. Currently, marketing and product promotion activities are still using banners and social media and reporting activities are still being done manually. This causes a waste of promotional costs and the accuracy of the report data may not be in line with changes in existing data. For this reason, an electronic sales information system (E-Commerce) was designed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method using the PHP programming language and MYSQL database. The program designed will produce an E-Commerce sales system that will help the sales system run, as well as a clear bookkeeping report to the leadership. With this new system, it is hoped that there will be changes in sales governance and reporting for the better.

Abstract

PT. Cahaya Murni Andalas Permai merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri mebel yang memproduksi beberapa kebutuhan rumah tangga serta peralatan kantor, salah satunya yaitu tempat tidur atau yang biasa dikenal dengan sebutan spring bed. Sistem pendukung keputusan dirancang bertujuan untuk mendukung seluruh tahap pengambilan keputusan mulai dari mengidentifikasi sebuah masalah, memilih data-data yang relevan dan menentukan pendekatan yang digunakan pada sebuah proses pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem pendukung keputusan dengan menggunakan metode TOPSIS untuk memudahkan karyawan dalam penentuan kualitas springbed perhitungan kualitas springbed yang tersimpan rapi didalam sebuah database. Sistem dibangun menggunakan Bahasa pemrograman PHP dan Database MySQL. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini untuk menentukan kualitas spring bed terbaik dengan kriteria yang digunakan yaitu: pegas, daya topang, bahan pelapis, dan jenis kayu yang dijadikan bahan perhitungan. Penentuan kualitas pada sistem dibuat dengan data-data yang sudah tersimpan, serta ketetapan pada setiap setiap nilai kriteria yang digunakan untuk penilaian kualitas.

Abstract

Traditional methods for classifying children with mental retardation based on fixed IQ score thresholds are often inadequate in capturing the diversity of intellectual abilities. This study proposes the use of data mining techniques, specifically the K-Means clustering algorithm, to group Intelligence Quotient (IQ) data derived from psychological assessments. The research methodology consists of data collection, data preprocessing, selection of the optimal number of clusters, and implementation of the K-Means algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach can successfully cluster IQ data into multiple groups representing distinct levels of intellectual functioning. The resulting clusters can be utilized as a decision-support mechanism to assist educators and practitioners in selecting appropriate instructional methods and intervention strategies in the field of special education.

Abstract

Technology is increasingly becoming a necessity that must be met, both in the world of education and in the world of business and social, especially information technology is used not only as a support but also as a primary need that can be used to provide information quickly. In accordance with what has been determined to obtain Subsidized Food, criteria are needed to determine who will be selected to receive subsidized food. The distribution of subsidized food is distributed to underprivileged or poor citizens. To assist in determining who is eligible to receive subsidized food, a decision support system is needed. One method that can be used for Decision Support Systems is by using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). In this study, a case will be raised, namely finding the best alternative based on predetermined criteria by using the SAW method to calculate the method in the case. This method was chosen because it is able to select the best alternative from a number of alternatives, in this case the intended alternative is those who are entitled to receive subsidized food based on the specified criteria. The study was conducted by finding the weight value for each attribute, then a ranking process was carried out which would determine the optimal alternative, namely the poor. After the study was conducted, the results obtained were that there were 4 alternatives receiving Subsidized Food and the one with the highest value was alternative 5 with the name Yuhel Fentri with a value of 0.875.
