Abstract

This research is qualitative research that aims to determine the Pedagogical Content Knowledge of prospective teacher students majoring in mathematics at the State University of Makassar. The research subjects consisted of 3 student-teacher candidates majoring in mathematics in the sixth semester. The subject-taking technique in this study amounted to three student teacher candidates majoring in mathematics with a cumulative achievement index of less than 3.00 and 3.01 - 3.50 and 3.51 - 4.00. The instruments in this study used CoRe, PaP-eRs, and Vignette. Data collection techniques in this study are observations based on PCK indicators and giving the Vignette test. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the pedagogical knowledge aspects of most of the points in CoRe are fulfilled. Then for the content knowledge aspect, the subject with an achievement index of 3.50 – 4.00 is at level 1, an achievement index of 3.00 – 3.50 is at level 0 and an achievement index of less than 3.00 is at level 2.

Abstract

Cahaya alami maupun buatan memiliki peran penting bagi kehidupan manusia untuk beraktivitas, salah satunya adalah bekerja. Indonesia yang terletak di wilayah beriklim tropis mendapatkan cahaya matahari yang banyak. Salah satu peran cahaya alami adalah menciptakan kenyamanan visual pada ruang kerja. Dengan munculnya virus Covid-19 di Indonesia, terjadi perpindahan ruang kerja dari kantor ke rumah dan café. Para pengunjung yang bekerja di café lebih memilih area terbuka untuk menghindari penularan virus Covid-19. Namun area terbuka juga tidak terlepas dari pengaruh cuaca sehingga area semi-outdoor dapat menjadi pilihan yang tepat untuk bekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas pencahayaan alami pada area semi-outdoor di sebuah café yang ada di kota Bandung. Data pencahayaan pada studi kasus didapatkan dengan bantuan luxmeter, sedangkan analisis dilakukan dengan bantuan Analisis dilakukan dengan membandingkan antara data pengukuran langsung maupun data software dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa intensitas cahaya pada studi kasus ini berada di atas standar yang telah ditentukan. Hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh berbagai hal, antara lain orientasi dan bentuk bangunan, material yang digunakan pada elemen pelingkup ruang arsitektur dan furniture, jenis bukaan, dan strategi desain bukaan yang dipakai untuk memasukkan cahaya ke dalam bangunan.

Abstract

Reflecting on teachers’ feedback and students’ responses, the study investigated students’ challenges in conducting academic writing, their preferences, and attitudes toward feedback, and teachers’ strategies to handle feedback on students’ written works. A case study was administrated. Three teachers and twenty-six undergraduate students were involved in the study. The findings demonstrated that the students were challenged in terms of grammar/surface structures, content, organization, vocabulary, and mechanism. Then, the teachers practiced various feedback i.e.; correction without comment, comment without correction, correction with comments, suggestion, and identification errors. Furthermore, in language use, the teachers’ preferences varied namely Indonesia/L1, English/EFL, and a combination between L1 and EFL. Students preferred those various teachers’ feedback. Then, the students’ attitudes toward handling feedback varied depending on every teacher's feedback type. Furthermore, the study unveiled that students responded positively to their teachers’ feedback such as requesting a more thorough explanation from their teachers, reading earlier pertinent research to improve their writing, and requiring some reflection time in response to their teachers' revisions.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with climate change repercussions, has gravely impacted global economies, notably the MSMEs in Kelurahan Meteseh. These MSMEs, which play key roles in local tourism and cuisine, struggle with energy and capital issues. This community service program addresses these challenges by implementing a green economic ecosystem for these SMEs, leveraging digital platforms, and promoting environmentally friendly business operations. Methodologically, the project encompassed preparation, technology deployment and installation, technology transfer, and mentoring. To address these issues, a community service program introduced Eco-Crowdinvesting green business technology with solar panels to help MSMEs recover sustainably. Solar panels and the Eco-Crowdinvesting platform reduce operational costs, improve finance, and strengthen MSMEs, making energy affordable for them. In line with national digital and green economy strategies, this program gives MSMEs access to solar power and an innovative financing platform, strengthening their economic resilience, promoting sustainable business practices, and increasing environmental awareness.

Abstract

Program "Kampung Tangguh" yang digagas oleh Pemerintah Kota Semarang di Kelurahan Mangunharjo bertujuan untuk mengatasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat setempat, yaitu: (1) menurunnya tingkat ekonomi masyarakat yang lahan tambaknya tak bisa digunakan lagi akibat rob banjir; (2) pengelolaan UMKM terkait manajemen, proses produksi, dan pengembangan pasar. Kelurahan Mangunharjo memiliki berbagai potensi yang dapat dimanfaatkan, diantaranya: (1) memiliki lahan milik Pemerintah yang luas, (2) hasil laut atau tambak yang melimpah, dan (3) terdapat UMKM dengan berbagai bidang usaha. Program ini berupaya memanfaatkan potensi tersebut dengan memperkenalkan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) dan Cold Storage. Dengan adanya PLTS, pasokan listrik yang stabil dapat dijamin, sehingga kualitas dan kuantitas produk yang disimpan oleh UMKM dapat ditingkatkan secara signifikan. Di sisi lain, strategi pemasaran berbasis internet diterapkan untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar produk UMKM, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan dan keberlanjutan ekonomi mereka. Matching Fund 2023 mendukung implementasi tahap awal dari program ini, yang difokuskan pada penerapan teknologi PLTS berbasis IoT dan kecerdasan buatan yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas produksi UMKM, serta penyediaan alat produksi yang tepat guna bagi UMKM di Mangunharjo. Dengan dilaksanakannya pengabdian ini berhasil mengurangi biaya listrik produksi hingga 50% dan meningkatan kualitas penyimpanan produk yang dihasilkan dapat ditingkatkan hingga kapasitas 1,5-2 ton per harinya.

Abstract

In an effort to improve the quality of education, teacher involvement and commitment need to be considered. Job satisfaction and organizational culture can be factors that influence teacher organizational commitment. This research aims to identify and analyse the influence of job satisfaction and organizational culture on teacher organizational commitment at the Al Jahidiyah Foundation, Geger District, Bangkalan Regency. The population of this study was all teachers at the Al Jahidiyah Foundation, Geger District, Bangkalan Regency, totaling 33 teachers. The analysis technique is multiple linear regression. The results show that job satisfaction and organizational culture have a significant role in forming teachers' organizational commitment. This shows that the higher the level of teacher job satisfaction, the higher their level of organizational commitment. Apart from that, organizational culture also has a positive and significant influence on teacher organizational commitment. The implication is that teachers who perceive a positive organizational culture tend to have higher levels of organizational commitment. These factors mutually strengthen their influence on organizational commitment. Therefore, increasing job satisfaction and establishing a positive organizational culture can increase organizational commitment, contributing to improving the quality of education.

Abstract

Title: Daylighting Performance Optimization Through Courtyard Well and Window Opening Design at Rusunawa Cingised Blok 4 Low-rise apartments have emerged as a viable solution as the need for low-income housing grows and land becomes scarce. In the 2024 building type design of low-rise flats, courtyards were included to improve daylighting performance. However, observations show that daylighting in low-rise public housing, such as Cingised Block 4, is still not optimal, requiring evaluation and optimization. This study examines the effect of the courtyard well’s geometric proportions, considering the horizontal obstruction from the single-loaded corridor surrounding the courtyard well. The research aims to determine the impact of optimal courtyard well configurations and light openings on natural lighting performance in Cingised Block 4 low-rise apartments. The study employs evaluative and comparative methods with a quantitative approach through digital simulation. The simulation uses the Radiance Ray Tracing system for daylight metrics based on Climate-Based Daylight Modelling and utilizes LightStanza software. The optimization results for Cingised Block 4 show that increasing the width dimensions of the courtyard well and the Plan Aspect Ratio variable will enhance the daylight quantity despite the corridor overhang. Optimizing the facade configuration of apartment units facing the courtyard well through the Window Wall Ratio (WWR) can significantly improve the distribution and quantity of daylight in the rooms.

Abstract

Research focuses on waste management challenges on Pasaran Island, Bandar Lampung, examining waste generation, composition, and stakeholder involvement. Data was collected through solid waste sampling, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, following the SNI-19-3694-1994 standard. A sample size of 20 households was determined using the Slovin formula, and 10 stakeholders from various sectors were selected for analysis. The study used the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to identify an effective waste management model aligned with the Climate Village Program. The analysis highlighted key factors such as maintenance ease, community participation, and pollution control. Among the alternatives, a household-scale model involving sorting, composting, waste banks, and the House of Recycling Innovation (RINDU) emerged as the most suitable. The findings suggest that enhancing waste management facilities like waste banks and RINDU would support the Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s programs and align with local regulations. This study offers insights that could benefit other small islands or communities facing similar waste management challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and produce learning media using powtoon animation applications that are valid, practical and effective. This research model refers to a ADDIE development model that includes 5 stages namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research instrument in the form of validation sheets by experts to measure validity aspect; teacher activity observation sheet in managing class to measure practicality aspect; student activity observation sheet, responses, and tests to measure effectiveness aspect. Respondents for the learning media trial are students of class VIII SMP which consists of 27 students. The results showed that the learning media satisfies validity criteria based on the assessment by experts. The learning media satisfies practicality criteria based on the result of teacher activity observation are categorized as good. The learning media satisfies effective criteria based on the result of students activity observation are categorized as very good, students response are categorized as very good, and the percentage of classical completeness from student learning outcomes test reached 85%.

Abstract

To apply an assessment, all assessment data must be able to be recorded properly and easily traced back so that students who need special attention can be easily found and acted upon immediately. To facilitate the recording and tracing of values, the use of technological media is indispensable, such as the use of applications in assessments. SMP Tonasa 1 Kabupaten Pangkep is one of the campus partners experiencing problems, namely not being able to utilize information system technology as a medium for accessing and analyzing student grades. The purpose of this Community Service activity (PkM) is to have a PkM product in the form of the SiCekN application for SMP Tonasa 1 Kabupaten Pangkep, and to be able to increase partners' knowledge and skills in using the learning assessment information system application. The method used is in the form of making a Value Checking Information System (SiCekN) application with good communication and discussion with partners so that the application is in accordance with partner needs, preparing a manual for using the application, and training in the use of the Value Checking Information System (SiCekN) application. The result obtained was the realization of the Value Checking Information System (SiCekN) application for SMP Tonasa 1 Kabupaten Pangkep. The use of the application has been tested, developed and used properly since 2019 until now in 2023. Teachers have responded positively to the ease of inputting grades and the ease of access to the intranet network so they don't have to gather in a certain place. The use of the application consists of steps for students who will check grades and steps for teachers to input value data into the application.
