Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the B3 waste management system in the District General Hospital dr. Drajat Prawiranegara Serang District 2016, identifying the sources and characteristics of B3 waste in their respective sources of waste in the District General Hospital dr. Drajat Prawiranegara Serang District with existing standards. This study uses observation.  collecting datausing systematic observation techniques, while in-depth analysis of the data processed by qualitative techniques to describe the efforts pengelolahan hazardous wastes and toxic B3 at Regional GeneralHospital dr. Drajat Prawiranegara Serang District were then compared with BAPEDAL regulation No. 01/05 / 1995. The results showed the Regional General Hospital dr, Serang regency degrees Prawiranegara produce volumes of hazardous and toxic waste. Efforts management of hazardouswastes and toxic B3 of the lug or packaging, storage, transportation done well.

Abstract

Health and education are the most important things for the progress of the nation. If one of them does not go well, the progress of a nation will be hampered, the extension activities carried out in Mancak District are carried out so that the public is aware of the importance of the meaning of health. The examination is carried out for free by checking blood sugar levels because Indonesia is the country with the highest diabetics in the world. The method used is free examinations and free consultation with a doctor, after checking blood sugar levels to get direction from medical experts. The results obtained are that there are some whose blood sugar levels are not normal because of an unhealthy lifestyle, smoking and lack of physical activity.

Abstract

Determining the source of raw water at a Regional Drinking Water Company is the first step in determining the location or place to fulfill raw water for clean water treatment purposes. One alternative that can be used as a source of raw water is river water. The purpose of this study is for initial analysis of a water source to be used as an alternative source of raw water for clean water treatment. In determining the selection of source water, there are 3 parameters that must be met for a water source, namely: Quantity, Continuity, and Quality. This research uses a quantitative analysis method in the form of field data measurements of population and population growth projections in the distribution area, by analyzing the quality test of the Cibanten River. Based on the results of data processing, the total average clean water needs of Serang District and Kasemen District is 697.06 liters/second, the water discharge capacity of the Cibanten River in 2020 has an average of 3,690 liters/second so that the Cibanten river discharge is suitable as a source of raw water. for the quantity and continuity parameters. For testing the water quality of the Cibanten River with parameters BOD, COD, TSS, TDS and pH, the value of the content of TDS and pH meets the environmental quality standards, for the values of TSS, TDS and BOD the results exceed the environmental quality standards. It needs to be treated first before being used as clean water and drinking water.

Abstract

Aim: This study aims to determine the potency of horsetail plant to remove heavy metal concentration. Methodology and Results: Data was obtained from fifty-four (54) horsetails which were divided into three batches of 12, 18, and 24 plants respectively. Furthermore, the experimental method with the subsurface flow system treatment was used with two samplings for seven days. The results showed that the first, second and third batches gave a 6.83%, 10.28%, and 16.26% impact on reducing concentration of Fe respectively with an approximate average of 11%. Therefore, the detention time of the leachate constructed wetland reactors significantly reduced the Fe contaminant. Conclusion, significance, and impact of study: This research provides a solution to mitigate the environment by adopting the accumulator of Horsetail plants (Equisetem hyemale) in the constructed wetlands reactor experiment. From the three reactors approximately 0.03 mg/L of heavy metal iron was removed after a seven day run. Therefore, horsetail plant showed a positive impact in reducing environmental pollution, a trend adoptable in wastewater and leachate treatment technology in Indonesia.

Abstract

The provision of drinking water is one of the basic needs and socio-economic rights of the community that must be fulfilled by the Government. The rapid development of housing in Taktakan Sub-district, the main and supporting infrastructure needs to be properly prepared. One infrastructure that is prioritised is the drinking water supply system. The research used the observation method to see the condition of the Cikaduen River, and laboratory tests to analyse raw water sources with physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters. This research was conducted from December 2021-March 2022. The purpose of this research is to prepare a drinking water supply system planning in Taktakan District. Based on the results of laboratory tests, physical parameters such as temperature, TDS, and TSS all meet the Class I Water Quality Standards PP 22 of 2021, while for chemical parameters some parameters exceed the quality standard threshold such as BOD5, COD, DO, Fluoride, Copper. Microbiology meets the Water Quality Standard. The instantaneous discharge of Cikaduen River is 518 l/s. From the results of hydrological analysis, it is known that the availability of water to serve the population in Taktakan is 60 ltr/s. Based on the availability of water from the results of the analysis using FJ Mock, the Cikaduen River is suitable to be used as a source of raw water.

Abstract

PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Site Office Pulo Ampel belum optimal dalam mengelola sampah organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah timbulan sampah, menganalisis kualitas kompos dan menguji pengaruh kompos pada tanaman. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-Agustus 2021. Variabel penelitian yang digunakan adalah suhu, bau, warna, kelembaban, pH dan rasio C/N. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi pengambilan data primer dan pengambilan data sekunder serta pengolahan data menggunakan metode Mann Whitney. Rata-rata jumlah timbulan sampah adalah 0,764 kg/orang/hari dengan volume sampah 7,505 liter/orang/hari. Tong komposter memiliki volume 124,5 L. Kompos A memiliki kelembaban 20%, suhu 28ºC, pH 6,87, ukuran partikel 40 mm, berwarna cokelat hitam, berbau tanah, rasio C/N 18 dan kompos B memiliki kelembaban 25%, suhu 29ºC, pH 6,9, ukuran partikel 30 mm, berwarna cokelat hitam, berbau tanah, rasio C/N 13,45. Kelembaban, suhu, pH, warna dan bau kompos A dan kompos B memenuhi SNI 19-7030-2004 dan Permentan 70/2011. Setelah 14 hari, tanaman cabai rawit pada kompos A memiliki tingkat keberhasilan 80% (lebih baik dibandingkan kompos B, sama dengan kompos C komersil) dengan tinggi batang 3,8 cm, 2 helai daun dengan lebar 1,7 cm.

Abstract

Kemajuan perkembangan ilmu dan pengetahuan dalam bahan bangunan yang semangkin meningkat sehingga semakin banyak pula inovasi material bangunan yang beragam. Salah satu inovasi yang pernah diterapkan adalah pemanfaatan fly ash sebagai subtitusi untuk mengurangi pemakaian semen disetiap campuran bahan kontruksi menjadi bangungan ramah lingkungan. Namun inovasi ini diperuntukkan kedalam campuran plester yang bertujuan untuk meratakan tembok. Pengujian eksperimen ini menggunaan fly ash dari hasil pembakaran sand dryer yang direncanakan yaitu 1,625% (sampel A), 3,25% (sampel B), 4,875% (sampel C) dan 6,5% (sampel D) dan diuji dengan sampel pembanding (sampel blanko) untuk diuji perbedaan warna aplikasi, flow, compress, dan pull off yang mengikuti pedoman ASTM C 109 dan EN 1015-12. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa semakin banyaknya pengunaan fly ash akan mempengaruhi warna aplikasi yang bermula abu-abu menjadi coklat dan kualitas plester cenderung menurun. Namun pada sampel A dengan pengunaan fly ash 1,625% dapat diterapkan karena masih diatas standar sesuai metode ASTM C 109 dan EN 1015-12.

Abstract

Cidanau River water is one of the important facilities for the people of Padarincang District. People use the river flow for their daily needs. Along its course there are non-densely populated settlements, where residents dump domestic waste into rivers. The purpose of this study is to analyze river water quality, the amount of raw water needs and the feasibility of the Cidanau River. The study used quantitative methods in the form of water sampling, population growth projections and river water feasibility by analyzing the water quality of the Cidanau River with the Pollution Index (IP) method. The results of the pollution index can be concluded that the Cidanau River meets quality standards based on class II criteria with the lightly polluted category because the IP results show a value of 2.84 which means 1 ≤ IP ≤ 5. Based on the results of data processing of projected population of Padarincang District in the next 10 years amounting to 103,440 people, the total clean water needs of Padarincang District are 149,618,181 m³ / day. It can be concluded that based on the water needs of the Padarincang District Population of 149,618,181 m³ / day with a discharge of 1.2269 m³ / day is said to be unfeasible because the river water discharge < water needs.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini memberikan solusi dalam alternatif energi terbarukan dengan memanfaatkan sampah kota (municipal solid waste) dari sumber Tempat Pembuangan Akhir Sampah (TPA) Cilowong, Kota Serang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji karakteristik sampah Kota Serang, yang meliputi Uji Proksimat (proximate analysis), Uji Ultimat (ultimate analysis), Kadar Air Sampah dan Uji Nilai Kalor, serta mengetahui seberapa potensialkah timbulan sampah Kota Serang sebagai energi alternatif pengganti bahan bakar fosil. Penelitian dilakukan pada kawasan TPA Cilowong, Kota Serang. Pada laporan ini dibatasi hanya pada perhitungan Kadar Air Sampah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan pengujian laboratorium dan analisis kelayakan karakteristik sampah. Teknik penelitian yaitu dengan melakukan survei dan obervasi ke TPAS Cilowong serta wawancara mendalam dengan dinas terkait dan masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar kawasan tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kelayakan sampah kota Serang sebagai energi alternatif pengganti bahan bakar fosil. Kata Kunci: Energi Alternatif, Kadar Air Sampah, TPA Cilowong ABSTRACT This research provides solutions in alternative renewable energy by utilizing municipal solid waste from the source of the Cilowong Waste Disposal Site (TPA), Serang City. This study aims to examine the characteristics of the city of Serang waste, which includes the Proximate Test (proximate analysis), Ultimate Analysis, Waste Water Content and Calorific Value Test, and find out the potential waste generation of Serang City as an alternative energy to replace fossil fuels. The study was conducted in the Cilowong landfill area, Serang City. This report is limited only to the calculation of Waste Water Content. The research method used is laboratory testing and analysis of the characteristics of waste characteristics. The research technique is by conducting surveys and observations to the Cilowong TPAS as well as in-depth interviews with related agencies and the people living around the area. The results of this study are the feasibility of municipal waste as an alternative energy substitute for fossil fuels. Keywords: Alternative Energy, Waste Water Content, Cilowong Landfill
