Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir siswa pada materi program linier. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan atau kemampuan siswa pada topik program linier. Data penelitian ini berasal dari siswa kelas XI IPS pada sebuah sekolah di kota Padang tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa observasi pembelajaran di kelas tentang soal ulangan harian materi program linier yang memuat empat indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada topik program linier masih tergolong rendah

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan landasan penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Realitas di lapangan ditemukan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI MIPA masih rendah. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif think pair square. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe think pair square lebih baik daripada siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design.Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konsep Matematika, Think Pair Square

Abstract

Abstract- Proving mathematics statement is one of important ability for undergraduate student to learn mathematics, especially in learning abstract algebra, real analysis, linear algebra, etc. More than a half of topic in group need proving ability to be mastered. In this article, students’ understanding on proving some statement related to group (abstract algebra) that has been help by using proof reasoning module is examined. Data of student responses are collected using three item test and interview. Based on the result student ability in starting answer and create proving structure has been improved. But students’ overall score still satisfied because they fail on choose some basic concept like theorem or definition to help them in proof. Keyword- Proof Reasoning, Group, Proof Technique, Statement Type

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy are the abilities of students to use basic mathematics in solving daily life problems, and students should have it. Various studies have shown that Indonesian students' literacy and numeracy skills still need to improve. One of the solutions to this problem is RME, and one of the components that influence this skill is teachers as a facilitator and their experiences. Thus, this research aims to refigure how students who receive Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) literacy and numeracy skills improve based on teacher's experiences. The research subjects are third, fourth, and fifth-grade students in elementary schools in Padang. Three schools were selected for each grade level and taught by three teachers with different experiences. The students were given literacy and numeracy problems before and after RME instruction. The answers were assessed and grouped to examine the student's literacy and numeracy achievement. The research results show that student's literacy and numeracy skills are better with RME learning. Student's literacy and numeracy skills are not influenced by teachers' experience.
