Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the supplementation of dl-methionine and l-lysine HCl to diet based on cafeteria standards of native chickens on body weight, internal organs and reproductive organs of native chicken at pullet phase. A total of 128 fourteen weeks-old native chickens were used in this study. The native chickens were divided into 4 treatments with 4 replications. The dietary treatments were: T0 (ration based on cafeteria standard), T1 (ration based on protein standard of NRC), T2 (cafeteria ration+0.09% DL-Methionine+0.22% L-Lysine HCl), T3 (cafeteria ration+0.19% dl-methionine+0.42% l-lysine HCl). The data collected were body weight, liver and bile, pancreas, gizzard, testicular and ovary weight  of native chickens aged 20 weeks. The result of this study for T0, T1, T2 and T3 showed that body weight of chickens were 1418.60; 1431.59; 1503.88 and 1556.41 g/bird, liver and bile weights were 22.44; 21.79; 24.49 dan 25.93 g/bird, pancreas weights were 2.33; 2.28; 2.50 and 2.70 g/bird, gizzard weight were 25.31; 23.91; 25.38 and 26.86 g/bird, testicular weight were 3.66; 3.86; 9.55 and 9.46 g/bird, testicular volume were 3.81; 3.38; 9.13 and 9.16 and ovary weight were 1.12; 1.32; 3.14 and 4.61 g/bird, respectively. The results showed that supplementation of DL-Methionine and L-Lysine HCl gave significantly effect (P<0.05) upon body weight, liver and bile weight, pancreas weight, testicular weight and volume and ovary weight, but it did not effected to gizzard weight. It can be concluded that supplementation of 0.27% dl-methionine and 0.79% l-lysine HCl increase body weight, internal organs weight and reproductive organs weight of native chickens.  Keywords: Cafeteria, DL-Methionine, L-Lysine HCl, Native Chicken, Supplementation

Abstract

The oral application of probiotics in the poultry industry is time-consuming and laborious. Therefore, using a powdered probiotic supplement that can easily mix with feed is important. We investigated the effect of spray drying encapsulation on the viability of indigenous probiotic lactic acid bacteria during production and storage and evaluated broiler chicken performance after providing the supplement. Encapsulated probiotics exhibited >80% survival rates after spray drying. All bacterial species maintained up to 80% cell viability rates after exposure to 80–85°C temperatures for 15 or 30 s. The viable cell number of all encapsulated bacteria decreased over seven weeks of storage. The supplement was mixed with feed at concentrations 0.5 (T1), 1.0 (T2), and 1.5 (T3) g/kg feed and administered to 48 one-day-old Lohmann broiler chickens for 21 days; a T0 group was raised without probiotic supplementation. Probiotic supplementation affected body weight gain, live weight, and feed conversion ratio. The cecum length and duodenum and cecum weights significantly differed among the treatment groups. Probiotic supplementation was associated with improved villus development in the intestinal epithelium compared with that of the control. Thus, feed supplementation with indigenous probiotic powder stimulates intestinal epithelial proliferation in broiler chickens during the starter phase, improving their performance.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the effect of different stocking density and different litter materials on the production performance of native chicken. Material of yhis study was 324-day old chick (DOC) native chickens, reared for 12 weeks. The DOC were randomly devided into 9 treatment groups include a combination of 3 stocking density (8, 12 and 16 bird/m2) and 3 litter materials (rice hulls, wood shavings and corncobs) in 3 replication. A completely randomized factorial design was an applied in the study then followed by Duncan's multiple range tests. The parameters observed were feed consumption (g/bird/12 weeks), body weight gain (g/bird), feed conversion ratio, and mortality (%). The results showed that feed consumption had affected by stocking density (p<0.05), but it had not affected by litter materials type. Feed consumption at densities of 8, 12 and 16 bird/m2 was 3890; 4020 and 4061 g/bird respectively. The highest feed consumption was obtained at a density of 16 bird/m2. Weight gain, feed conversion and mortality had not affected by stocking density and litter material. It can concluded that the body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio and mortality is same for stocking density 8,12 and 16 bird/m2 an d same for litter type of rice hulls, wood shaving and corncob.

Abstract

In the current era of information technology, information technology has helped and facilitatedhuman life from various dimensions. One of the products of the very rapid development ofinformation technology is E-commerce. E-commerce is a means or place to buy and sell goods,services and information via the internet network on computers or other electronic means. Ecommerce(Electronic Commerce) can be used in marketing agricultural products and has had amajor influence on the growth of the social and economic order of society. The purpose of thisservice is so that farmers who are in the Teratai village of Batang Hari Regency can increase theirknowledge of marketing agricultural products through E-Commerce, and train participants tomarket their agricultural products through E-Commerce and provide real time price information.The method used is counseling and training activities. The results of this service activity are toprovide benefits for training participants in increasing their knowledge and skills for businessdevelopment through the use of marketing agricultural products using E-Commerce. By marketingproducts through E-Commerce, it is hoped that in the future the business carried out by them will bemore developed, and the sales volume of agricultural products will increase in a fast time

Abstract

Stocking density gives a significant role in poultry farming, with increasing the number of birds per unit space potentially leading to higher profits. The wider the pen will increase the need litter for pen, rice hulls are commonly used as litter. Limited supplies, higher costs, and unavailability of suitable materials have encouraged the search for alternative litter materials. This study aimed to identify ideal stocking density and other litter material sources on native chickens. The material of this study was 324-day old chick (DOC) native chickens, reared for 10 weeks. The DOC was randomly divided into 9 treatment groups including a combination of 3 stocking densities (8, 12, and 16 chick/m2) and 3 litter materials (rice hulls, wood shavings, and corncobs) in 3 replication. Abstract

Analisis Pendapatan Usahatani Melon Agrowisata Sungai Buluh Kecamatan Muara Bulian Kabupaten Batanghari. Dosen Pembimbing : Awaludin S, SP, M.Si dan Ir. Asaibani, ME. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) Untuk mengetahui besarnya biaya dalam usahatani melon.(2). Untuk mengetahui besarnya pendapatan petani dalam usahatani buah melon Agrowisata Sungai Buluh Kecamatan Muara Bulian Kabupaten Batang Hari. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Sungai Buluh, penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 s.d 20 September 2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriftif kuantitatif. Rata-rata biaya mengusahakan usahatani melon sebesar Rp. 7.718.848, penerimaan yang diterima oleh petani melon yaitu Rp 62.500.000. Rata-rata pendapatan usahatani melon (Rp. 54.781.152) Efisiensi usahatani Melon sebesar 8,09 berarti usahatani melon efisien.Rata-rata kontribusi pendapatan usahatani melon terhadap pendapatan total sebesar 80,09 persen, maka usahatani melon dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani.

Abstract

Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Partisipasi Wanita Tani Dalam Kegiatan Usahatani Padi Sawah di Desa Benteng Rendah Kecamatan Mersam Kabupaten Batang Hari. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Benteng Rendah Kecamatan Mersam Kabupaten Batanghari. Pemilihan daerah penelitian dikeranakan daerah tersebut adalah salah satu daerah sentra produksi padi. Sebagai objek penelitian ini adalah petani yang mengusahakan usaha tani padi sawah. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari s.d Februari 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Sumber data primer diperoleh dari petani sampel dengan cara wawancara berdasarkan daftar pertanyaan yang telah disiapkan. Data primer yang diambil ini adalah data produksi padi sawah petani sampel pada musim tanam. Sedangkan sumber data sekunder berasal dari instansi yang terkait, hasil penelitian sebelumnya, dan literatur yang berhubungan dengan penelitian ini. Secara simultan (bersama-sama) faktor motivasi (X1), pengalaman kerja (X2) dan pendidikan (X3). Berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap partisipasi perempuan (Y) dalam berusahatani padi sawah di Desa Benteng Rendah Kecamatan Mersam Kabupaten Batang Hari Pada tingkat signifikansi 5% dan tingkat keyakinan 95%.. Secara parsial (sendiri-sendiri) faktor motivasi (X1) dan pengalaman kerja (X2) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap partisipasi perempuan (Y) dalam berusahatani padi sawah di Desa Benteng Rendah Kecamatan Mersam Kabupaten Batang Hari. Pada tingkat signifikansi 5% dan tingkat keyakinan 95%. Sedangkan faktor pendidikan (X3) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap partisipasi perempuan dalam berusahatani padi sawah (Y). Baik secara Simultan maupun Parsial dengan tingkat keyakinan 95% dan tingkat signifikasi 5% sangat berpengaruh nyata terhadap partisipasi perempuan dalam berusahatani padi sawah di Desa Benteng Rendah Kecamatan Mersam Kabupaten Batang Hari.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menggambarkan usahatani kelapa sawit dengan pola kemitraan masyarakat Desa Danau Embat, mengetahui tingkat pendapatan yang diperoleh petani kelapa sawit di Desa Danau Embat yang bermitra PT Inti Indosawit Subur dan mengetahui tingkat penyerapan tenaga kerja kemitraan PT Inti Indosawit Subur terhadap masyarakat Desa Danau Embat. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Danau Embat Kecamatan Maro Sebo Ilir, Kabupaten Batang Hari. Sampel dipilih secara acak sederhana yaitu milih petani yang memiliki usahatani pola kemitraan dengan PT.Inti Indosawit Subur untuk disurvey dengan daftar pertanyaan yang telah disiapkan sebelumnya. Selanjutnya jumlah sampel yang diambil dari populasi sampel adalah sebanyak 20% sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 32 orang petani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendapatan petani pada usahatani kelapa sawit pola kemitraan PT Inti Indosawit Subur di Desa Danau Embat Kecamatan Maro Sebo Ilir Kabupaten Batang Hari mencapai Rp. 23.110.203,- pertahun. Selanjutnya penyerapan tenaga kerja petani pada usahatani kelapa sawit pola kemitraan PT Inti Indosawit Subur di Desa Danau Embat Kecamatan Maro Sebo Ilir Kabupaten Batang Hari, didominasi oleh tenaga kerja pria sebanyak 1.775 HOK sedangkan Tenaha kerja wanita sebanyak 21 HOK, sehingga secara keseluruhan penggunaan tenaga kerja adalah 38,38 HKSP per tahun dengan upah kerja rata-rata Rp.75.000,- per hari.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan mahasiswa Progam Studi Agribisnis Universitas Graha Karya Muara Bulian dalam melakukan manajemen data hasil penelitian, mengolah dan menganalisis data menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Peserta dalam kegiatan PkM ini sebanyak 16 mahasiswa. Metode yang dilaksanakan berupa workshop selama satu hari pada tanggal 28 Nopember 2023, bertempat di Ruang Laboratorium Komputer Universitas Graha karya Muara Bulian dengan melalui tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Dalam mengukur keberhasilan workshop ini dilakukan pengukuran pre-test dan post-test. Hasilnya menujukkan bahwa workshop ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilam mahasiswa Program Studi Agribisnis Universitas Graha Karya Muara Bulian terhadap penggunaan SPSS dalam mengolah data statistik

Abstract

Desa Tenam berada di Kabupaten Batang Hari dimana masyrakatnya banyak berprofesi sebagai petani karet. Salah satu kegiatan yang dapat mendukung kegiatan masyarakat yang tergabung dalam ibu-ibu PKK adalah tentang  pembuatan ZPT (Zat Pengatur Tumbuh).  ZPT alami dapat dibuat dengan bahan dasar lokal seperti tauge.Taoge mengandung ZPT giberellin serta dapat berfungsi sebagai pupuk pelengkap cair.Masyarakat selama ini menganggap bahwa dalam pertumbuhan tanaman hanya cukup menggunakan pupuk saja. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil setelah melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dikelompok ibu-ibu PKK yang dilakukan oleh tim Universitas Garaha Karya Muara Bulian desa Tenam mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk membuat ZPT alami berbahan dasar tauge.
