Abstract

Plurality of political attitudes of citizens Muhammadiyah Ponorogo in the elections in 2015 is an interesting phenomenon because almost all citizens and sympathizers of this organization gives full support to the partner Regent and Vice Regent promoted by the National Mandate Party. This study to find out more about political attitudes of citizens muhammadiyah shown in local elections (Election) Ponorogo. Moreover, the research also seek out further orientations are used as a handle by Muhammadiyah cadres and elite that are part of a successful team. Informants in this study is regular and elite members or directors of the Muhammadiyah organization spread over several districts. Data collection in studies using interviews and documentation. The final goal of this study was to determine the political direction of Muhammadiyah then it could be a foundation in nominating candidates for the next general election

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of general elections related to the political rights of persons with disabilities in Jambon District in 2024, with a focus on Sidoharjo Village and Krebet Village. The problems faced by these two villages are related to data collection, socialization, and services in general elections. The concepts used in this study include general elections, political rights, and disability. This study uses a qualitative approach to explore a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by persons with disabilities in participating in elections. Data sources were obtained through in-depth interviews, data analysis, and documentation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, which selected informants based on criteria relevant to the research objectives. The informants in this study consisted of two village heads, namely the Head of Krebet Village and the Head of Sidoharjo Village; four persons with disabilities; two members of the Voting Committee (PPS) from both villages; and representatives from the LKS Rumah Kasih Sayang Social Organization. The results of the study show that in the data collection process, there were obstacles in the form of data inaccuracy, which resulted in a decrease in the number of voters with disabilities, particularly due to the difficulties faced by Pantarlih in Sidoharjo Village in identifying people with disabilities. In addition, the socialization efforts did not specifically target persons with disabilities, and the election services provided to persons with disabilities were still not optimal. This was due to accessibility that was not disability-friendly and facilities that were not adequate to support their equal participation in the elections.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan pemilihan umum terkait hak politik penyandang disabilitas di Kecamatan Jambon pada tahun 2024, dengan fokus pada Desa Sidoharjo dan Desa Krebet. Permasalahan yang dihadapi kedua desa tersebut berkaitan dengan pendataan, sosialisasi, dan pelayanan dalam pemilihan umum. Konsep yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup pemilihan umum, hak politik, dan disabilitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggali pemahaman lebih dalam tentang tantangan yang dihadapi penyandang disabilitas dalam partisipasi pemilu. Sumber data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, analisis data, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, yang memilih informan berdasarkan kriteria yang relevan dengan tujuan penelitian. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kepala desa, yaitu Kepala Desa Krebet dan Kepala Desa Sidoharjo; empat penyandang disabilitas; dua anggota Panitia Pemungutan Suara (PPS) dari kedua desa; serta perwakilan dari Organisasi Sosial LKS Rumah Kasih Sayang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses pendataan, terdapat kendala berupa ketidakakuratan data yang mengakibatkan penurunan jumlah pemilih penyandang disabilitas, khususnya karena kesulitan Pantarlih di Desa Sidoharjo dalam mengidentifikasi kelompok penyandang disabilitas. Selain itu, sosialisasi yang dilakukan belum menyasar penyandang disabilitas secara khusus, dan pelayanan pemilu yang diberikan kepada penyandang disabilitas masih belum maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan oleh aksesibilitas yang belum ramah disabilitas serta fasilitas yang belum memadai untuk mendukung partisipasi mereka secara setara dalam pemilu.
