Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the third largest tuna production in the world. Fish oil as a fishery product processing waste is a potential material for making biodiesel because it has a high fat content. In this research, biodiesel was made from bio-oil from tuna waste through esterification and transesterification processes at 60°C, stirring speed 360 rpm with a reaction time of 2 hours. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of Free Fatty Acid (FFA) contained in bio-oil from tuna waste and to determine the effect of the size of the natural zeolite catalyst in the transesterification process on the characteristics of the biodiesel produced. The variables used were the size of the zeolite catalyst 10 - 20, 30 - 40, 50 - 60, 70 - 80, 100 - 120 mesh. From the research results, it can be concluded that the smaller the zeolite catalyst size, the resulting biodiesel is closer to the biodiesel standard and the size of 100-120 mesh which is very close to the SNI 7182: 2015 biodiesel standard with a density value of 849.6 kg/m3, kinematic viscosity 3,413 cSt, moisture content. 0%, acid number 1.10 mg.KOH /gr, flash point 75 ° C, calorific value 8.240 Cal/gr.

Abstract

Masjid merupakan sarana beribadah umat muslim yang mempunyai fungsi sebagai sarana berkegiatan masyarakat. Masjid Nurul Iman terletak di desa Kasemen kota serang. DKM Masjid Nurul Iman membutuhakan pendampingan dalam membangun masjid yang memadai dan didambakan oleh maysarakat, sehingga kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada DKM Masjid Nurul Iman dalam membuat desain dan rencana anggaran biaya (RAB) renovasi masjid sehingga dapat memfasilitasi tempat ibadah yang lebih memadai. Kegiatan pengabdian ini membantu masyarakat dalam merencanakan masjid dalam aspek arsitektur dan struktural serta anggaran biaya pembangunan renovasi masjid. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari survei lapangan, pengukuran area masjid eksisting, kompilasi data pengukuran, membuat desain gambar dan menyusun RAB. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan rencana anggaran biaya pembangunan renovasi masjid Nurul Iman Desa Kasemen membutuhkan biaya sebesar Rp. 1.199.249.000,00.

Abstract

Roof tiles play a vital role in the construction industry hagoslot by providing protection from the sun's heat and rain. The quality of roof tiles largely depends on the materials used and the manufacturing process, as these factors significantly affect the tiles' mechanical properties. Kangkung pagar (Ipomoea carnea) is one type of alternative natural fiber material that can be utilized in the creation of composite materials. This study aims to explore the potential of Ipomoea carnea powder as an alternative material for producing polymer roof tiles, as well as to examine how variations in the composition of powder and sand influence the mechanical properties of these tiles. The method for producing roof tiles is based on powder metallurgy. The composition of the powder and sand used varies in the following ratios: 10% powder to 50% sand, 20% powder to 40% sand, and 30% powder to 30% sand. Additionally, a fixed composition of 30% polyester resin and 10% asphalt is used. The initial process involves mixing the materials according to these predetermined ratios. The resulting mixture is then molded and compacted under a pressure of 200 kg/cm². Characterization of the mechanical properties includes proximate analysis, calculation of porosity and density, flexural strength testing, and hardness testing.The study's results indicated that the properties of polymer roof tiles are significantly influenced by the composition of the powder and sand used during their manufacture. The findings revealed a porosity value of 0.209%, a density of 0.994%, a flexural strength of 2.270 MPa, and an optimum hardness of 19.1 BHN. The addition of 10% powder increased the hardness value by only 0.4% while decreasing the flexural strength by 0.5%. Overall, the use of Ipomoea Carnea powder was not effective in enhancing the mechanical properties of the polymer roof tiles, as both the flexural strength and hardness values remained below those of commercially available polymer roof tiles.

Abstract

This study investigates the dugemslot mechanical properties of a Pajajaran-era golok to reveal the traditional metallurgical technology and cultural values embedded within it. The main issue addressed is the absence of scientific data regarding the manufacturing process and mechanical properties of ancient golok, thus this research aims to identify both aspects. The methodology involved Vickers hardness testing and metallographic analysis using an optical microscope, preceded by geometric measurements and specimen preparation through grinding, polishing, etching. The results indicate a graded mechanical property along the blade, with an average hardness of 184.01 HV: 150.13 HV at the upper section, 189.5 HV at the middle, and 212.4 HV at the lower section. Microstructural observations revealed a dominance of ferrite in the upper section, a combination of ferrite and pearlite in the middle, and a dense pearlite structure in the lower section. These findings suggest that the golok was manufactured using a casting technique combined with differential heat treatment, producing graded mechanical properties: ductile at the spine, balanced at the middle, and hard at the cutting edge. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of traditional metallurgical technology in Nusantara and serves as a reference for further studies as well as cultural preservation through scientific approaches.
