Abstract

The movement of aircraft and passengers at Juanda international airport is increasing every year. In 2012, the air side infrastructure of Juanda airport almost reached the maximum capacity. In other side, PT. Angkasa Pura I as the operator of Juanda airport had planned to revitalize the Juanda airport terminal that located on the south side. This terminal was not operated for 8 years. The pavement of taxiway should be evaluated its strength. The evaluation method compared The Pavement Classification Number (PCN) of taxiway pavement with Aircraft Classification Number (ACN). If PCN value was higher than ACN value, so the taxiway pavement could serve aircraft movements. The pavement of taxiway on Juanda airport evaluated by using software COMFAA. Data input into the software COMFAA was the existing pavement structure and the movement of the aircraft that will to use south side of Juanda Airport Terminal. The scenario 1 result is the exiting pavement should be overlaid 7 inches to support The operational of Terminal 2 Juanda Airport. In other side, scenario 2 result showed that the existing taxiway pavement structure was able to hold the load of aircraft movements over 20 years. The PCN value is 80.2 dan the ACN values are 89.3 in the scenario 1 and 75 in the scenario 2.

Abstract

Runway was an important the airport facilities, used for the movement of arrival and departure aircraft. To provide optimal service, the runway pavement structure had to evaluated periodically. This paper presented the results of the runway pavement strength analysis with the FAA Method and calculated by COMFAA. The primary data were used soil investigation data, pavement core drill and georadar survey. The samples of primary data is divided into 10 segments of runway length. Meanwhile, the secondary data was used aircraft departures in last 5 years. The results of the analysis showed that the existing thickness of the runway pavement structure along 1100 meters from the threshold of Runway 10 was able to defense the gross weight of aircraft until the life design of the runway pavement structure and the PCN value is greater than ACN. Vice versa for the remaining runway length to the threshold of Runway 28.

Abstract

Surabaya has the plan to reactivate tram in several arterial streets which will cause car lane reduction. This research aims to enhance the traffic performance of several arterial streets in Surabaya after the reduction of street width due to street space reallocation for the future tram track. The modal split analysis in a natural car and train or pulled scheme is compared to several vehicle restriction methods or push scheme which using data from car and motorcycle rider. From comprehensive computation, it is concluded that the insertion of tram track in the road space directly without any transport demand management will impact street performance to a more severe condition of traffic jam intersection. Therefore this research advising city government to apply restriction scheme to car and motorcycle by using high occupancy vehicle only scheme or prepaid area licensing scheme.
