Abstract

The growth of air transportation is encouraged by high demand to travel fast. Jakarta-Surabaya route is placed as the fourth busiest traffic in the world. This busy route still possible to increase, unless there is an alternative mode of transport to serve the demand of this route. Aircraft flies at a certain flight level that is influenced by the flight distance and the type of aircraft. Jakarta-Surabaya route is served by aircrafts with different types. This means that some flight levels between Jakarta and Surabaya are occupied by these serving aircrafts. On the other hand, at the same flight level, there will be some other planes for other routes. This research attempts to picture the density of the flight level of Jakarta-Surabaya route. The density value will be useful to predict the air quality and the available air space to add the flight frequencies. Data collection of Jakarta-Surabaya flights was aimed to identify the occupied flight level by this route. For other routes that may be crossed or in line with the Jakarta-Surabaya route, are derived from International Civil Aviation (ICAO) Charts. Incorporating the route volume resulting the traffic derivation from the charts and scheduled flight into the network attribute of GIS. Data histories of the flight density from ICAO Charts are used to predict the future density utilizing the GIS. The horizon year for this research is year 2030 where some airports will be improved into higher level airport groups, according to PM No. 69 year 2013.

Abstract

This study intends to determine the sensitivity of changes in oil prices to investment in power supply projects from the financial aspect. The investment analysis conducted is an evaluation of Net Present Value (NPV) using the production sharing contract (PSC) model with a profit sharing system. Based on the analysis conducted, the sensitivity of changes in oil prices has a very significant effect on the project NPV. Changes in oil prices by 60% from the base case to US $ 80 caused NPV to rise by 183%. But on the contrary if the price of oil touches the figure of US $ 20 or -60% from the base case, it will make the NPV negative, so the project is not economical to proceed. In addition, it know that the acceptance limit of investment in power supply projects is at oil prices greater than US $ 34 per barrel. This significant change in both the decline and increase in oil prices to the NPV is very logical because oil prices determine the amount of revenue earned from this project.

Abstract

Abstract

West Nusa Tenggara Province consists of two main islands namely Lombok and Sumbawa. Regency Roads on Lombok Island, especially rural roads, has been severely damaged due to lack of routine maintenance. The types of damage that occur are cracks, small holes, and even large pools that endanger road users. This study aims to obtain a mixture of new materials in order to obtain an easy and fast repair method without reducing the quality during its intended life. In the meantime, repairing with CAD (cold asphalt mixture) requires curing time of 3x24 hours to achieve standard material quality with Marshall Characteristics according to the 2010 Bina Marga Specifications. This study combines CAD using BP (rejuvenating agent) and Wetfix-BE additive to get optimal results without curing process. The BP used is asphalt mixture, kerosene, and bunker oil stirred in a mixing machine into one unit. The results showed the optimum concentration of this mixture was 0.3% wet-be additive, 4.50% BP in CAD with asbuton proportion of 25%. In the fatigue test with a cyclic loading of 100 kPa, the pavement mixture is able to resist a fully loaded truck of 7731 times. In conclusion, this mixture combination is able to speed up the asphalt binding time by making briquettes according to the 2018 Highways Specifications without going through the long curing process.

Abstract

There are some factors that cause deformation on the runway, such as the pressure of repeated loads caused by large queues of aircraft. The aggregate available in nature has begun to decrease in amount caused considering that infrastructure development in Indonesia continues to increase. Therefore, new material innovations are needed to overcome this, such as the use of flyash as an artificial aggregate of geopolymers in concrete asphalt mixtures. This research was carried out in some tests including Marshall testing which intended to determine the characteristics of artificial aggregate pavement mixtures, using open gradations with specification BBA. Then testing the resistance to deformation (Creep) on the artificial aggregate gradation pavement mixture using the UTM30 Dynapave. Based on the characteristics of the Marshall test the optimum bitumen content value was obtained, with open gradations has OBC value is 6.10%. Results of Creep test (deformation) with load 400 kPa obtained, strain value is 93520 μƐ and stiffness value is 3,998 MPa (sample collapse at cycle 1559 times). It can be concluded that the pavement mixture with open graded artificial aggregate (BBA) has not able to survive deformation.

Abstract

The quality of flexible pavement construction is strongly influenced by the composition of the material used, including the type of aggregate, and asphalt. Aggregates are generally defined as hard and dense earth shell formation. The mechanical properties of the asphalt mixture are strongly influenced by the fraction and aggregate properties, because the aggregate fills the majority of the asphalt mixture volume (more than 80%) and mass (about 95%). Aggregates have various forms and textures including round and cube shapes. At present, infrastructure development in Indonesia continues to increase the amount of natural aggregate usage, so this will cause the availability of materials to continue to thin out. For this reason, an effort needs to be made to find an alternative to the use of natural aggregate, one of which is the utilization of waste generated by the steam power plant (PLTU), namely fly ash. In this study the artificial aggregate was varied in spherical (AB) form from processed granulaor and angular (ABSC) from processed stone crusher. The results obtained in each variation provide a value that meets the specifications. The full use of artificial aggregates of 25% AB 75% ABSC on dense gradations provides stability of 1258.13 kg. In this study, the use of artificial aggregates can be used as an alternative as an aggregate substitute for nature. In addition to improving mixed quality, the use of artificial aggregates can be an alternative use of waste.
