Abstract

An entrepreneur or a service provider in the internet network world, will certainly find clients with different characters. Clients who are not technology blind, especially routers, sometimes want full access to the router, or some clients who ask to add a router to be able to directly access the router in full. Virtual Router allows clients to process their own network, as if the client has a router. Network forensics has the ability to reconstruct events using a system that stores all data traffic activities on the network, so that investigations can be carried out by looking back at events that have occurred and analyzing events that occurred in the past. Wireshark can review data packages in real time. This means that the wireshark application will monitor all incoming and outgoing data packets through a predefined interface and the next will display the results of the data package

Abstract

The Al-Azhar Islamic University Technology Business Incubator (ITe UNIZAR) has the potential to increase the number and types of businesses fostered, one of which is hydroponic farming businesses. Hydroponic farming is an efficient growing method for limited land and is suitable for urban areas. However, one of the challenges faced in hydroponic cultivation is the management of AB-Mix nu-trients which are usually managed conventionally and irregularly. Utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) can be a solution to overcome these challenges. IoT can be used to monitor plant nutrient concentrations in hydroponics in real-time. If the nutrient level is low or the air level is low, the pump will distribute the nutrients to the blending tank automatically or increase the amount of air in the available blending tank. It is hoped that the use of IoT in hydroponic systems can help MSMEs develop their business, increase productivity and increase the efficiency of cultivating plants in hydroponic media.

Abstract

Rice is a staple food for most Indonesians. The growing population, which has already reached 278 million, is expected to lead to increased rice consumption. Therefore, it is important to have a system that can forecast rice production. Time series data can be used to forecast rice production. Two common time series forecasting methods are linear regression and polynomial regression. Linear regression is used for data that is linear, while polynomial regression is used for data that is non-linear. In this study, we evaluated the performance of linear regression and polynomial regression for rice production forecasting in West Nusa Tenggara Province from 2001 to 2022. The results showed that the polynomial regression model with 4-degree gave better results than the linear regression model. The RMSE and MAE for the polynomial regression model were 0.48 and 2.34, respectively, while those for the linear regression model were 0.97 and 0.87, respectively. The results of this study suggest that the polynomial regression model with 4-degree is a better choice for rice production forecasting in West Nusa Tenggara Province

Abstract

This research identified critical network anomalies in the MetaRouter virtual environment, focusing on IP activity related to routers, networks, and client devices. Suspicious interactions were observed between IP 192.168.1.100 (router) and IP 172.16.205.53 (client), including reused TCP port numbers and incomplete SYN sessions, indicating potential spoofing attempts. Invalid route information involving 192.168.1.100 highlights malicious modifications to the routing table, indicating an attempt to manipulate the routing information. Packet inconsistencies, such as “TCP Previous segment not captured” and “Spurious Retransmission,” revealed interference between the client and router, possibly caused by an external attacker exploiting network protocol vulnerabilities. The aim of this research is to analyze threats in virtual lab networks using live forensic methods on MetaRouter to detect anomalies, with a focus on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and TCP deviations in MetaRouter. This research method is a controlled prototype experimental setup in a virtual laboratory consisting of two routers and two client devices. This method simulates real-world network operations to identify malicious activities. Wireshark is used for real-time packet-level monitoring and analysis because it has powerful visualization and filtering capabilities, surpassing tools like tcpdump. This research integrates live forensic techniques to collect and analyze routing logs, packet data, and protocol behavior. The results of this research are the identification of suspicious behaviors, such as reused TCP port numbers, incomplete SYN sessions, and unauthorized route announcements, indicating potential spoofing and BGP hijacking attempts. Packet data irregularities, including “Out-Of-Order” messages and abrupt session terminations, are also detected, revealing disruptions in traffic flow caused by malicious activities. The results of this research are highlighting the effectiveness of the forensic framework in identifying and documenting network anomalies in virtual environments have significant implications for improving security in cloud-based and hybrid networks. This research provides a scalable and replicable methodology that can improve real-time anomaly detection and response, paving the way for future advances in network security.
