Abstract

Development and competition in Indonesian University is extremely tight. Petra Christian University is also a University's with long-standing and well known to many people in Indonesia. Prospective students would like to see more clearly the shape, structure and atmosphere held at the University. Thus someone created a virtual map for Petra Christian University building by using a Head-Mounted Display Oculus Rift to display a simulation of the map Petra Christian University building. But the virtual map that has been created earlier is simply an empty simulation maps that contain only furniture - furniture and does not contain a virtual character, so that the simulation does not have any college atmosphere. So it was decided to implement a virtual character in a map that looks like a real simulation using a rule-based system.In the development of prior research program conducted every object in the form of the building, so hopefully the results obtained could resemble its original state. Giving materials to the models at the Unity are expected match the colors of the original state. Giving collision features intended to make the user cannot penetrate what as original state.Results on this program, the position and shape of character object in the building resemble the original state that existed at Petra Christian University. Time constraints in making become a major factor, so it’s cannot make the character more in detail. The whole room and the character of the building P 2nd floor has been made, there are only a few sections still incomplete, example on the large staircase of the building P and other small parts. Disadvantages of this program require computer high specification enough to run the program. This is because the resulting resolution on this program can be fairly large.

Abstract

A lot of digital images processing methods that were developed to meet the needs of digital image processing which began to appear in various fields of science. In outdoors image retrieval, often arise problems, the backlight effect, that caused the digital image processing became more difficult. Therefore digital image processing applications will be made to meet the above requirement, which is based on retinex theory.Retinex is algorithm to eliminate the effects of illumination light from front/rear, and repair colors in digital image by eliminating color lighting that can make changes in digital image. In this study, digital image processed by retinex and then flatten the contrast with histogram equalization technique to eliminate the backlight effect on the digital image. Based on the test results, the application can display digital images with the backlight effect is reduced and the detail is more visible in the area that covered with the backlight shadow. In another test with images that have no backlight and bright, after the retinex process, the results is not satisfying, the images are broken, fade color and the color changes significantly.

Abstract

Jenis mobil merupakan salah satu properti dari mobil yang penting untuk diidentifikasi. Untuk melakukan identifikasi secara otomatis, banyak cara yang telah diimplementasi untuk mencapai tujuan identifikasi jenis mobil secara cepat dan tepat. Untuk identifikasi gambar, salah satu metode yang terkenal adalah Faster R-CNN yang cukup cepat dan tepat untuk melakukan identifikasi gambar. Namun untuk ketepatannya masih belum maksimal. Metode lain yang tersedia adalah YOLO dimana metode ini akan lebih cepat dalam melakukan identifikasi.Penggunaan kedua metode dalam arsitektur yang akan dibangun bertujuan untuk meningkatkan akurasi kebenaran identifikasi jenis mobil. Kedua metode diharapkan dapat saling membantu dalam pengecekan dan menghasilkan hasil yang lebih baik dari masing-masing metode.

Abstract

Ecommerce is a Market Place and a technological advancement nowadays  where it is now widely used by the public to conducts transaction of needed goods due to very practical. Shopping by using Ecommerce also cheaps and the price is very competitive then conventional store, which more expensive due to large operational costs. But the errors of data contained in Ecommerce is greater than a conventional store, because the data input is depends on the person who using it.With the development of technology, especially on Web Services that helps Ecommerce grow significantly, of course there are solutions to solve the problem and reduce an errors that would made disadvantageous on both side. And one of them is a Computer Intelligence developed to be able to detect and recognize an object.The detection and recognition of objects which will be added on Ecommerce for its feature use frequent of image processing methods for face detection, the Haar Cascade Classifier, and the recognition using SURF. So these feature can improve the performance of Ecommerce so as not to use significant costs and upgrade.

Abstract

Making mockups for display to investors often requires a very high cost, manufacture mock floater if deemed there are less suitable in the making. To overcome this age often the designers will re-create the mock-scale model if it is not in accordance with the wishes of investors. But the problem that arises is the purchase of an expensive tool visual examples, so it is not efficient in generating cost manufacturing maket.To overcome this, invented a visualization application mockups city park by using markers made of paper, so that the cost of making these mockups cheap, compared with money must be spent to buy equipment such as, trees, park benches, etc. Users can also add mockups according to keingginannya, can add objects that are free on the Internet, then choose a marker in accordance with his wishes, the User can print the even own mockups that will be used.To make the visualization process is carried out mock-long process ranging from changing color to gray, change the color to black and white, edge detection, square detecting, matching the template to print the object desired dimensions. Through the test results, it was found that the result object that is displayed on the screen is in conformity with the position marker, the downside of this process is that the process that takes a long time rendering and 3D printing process object that still has texture and recognizable marker must rectangular.

Abstract

Education about the science of cigarette smoking and in the surrounding communities are very less, causing students to be less be equipped knowledge of the risks of smoking. At this point to understand or teach about the risks of smoking can use multimedia applications.This application will contain the risks of smoking to be attractive and easier where users will directly interact with the learning process. In the application there will be a kind of cigarette, a substance contained therein, the respiratory system, the risks of smoking, and the two games that make the application more attractive.Simulation and animation contained in the application will greatly assist users in understanding the process and understand the contents of the material and with a very easy to use application that will attract the interest of the learning process.

Abstract

In this period of time, a photo is a common thing. Photo serves as a medium to store memories of important events around us. Mastering the science of photography requires the skill and techniques so that photographs or works produced will be good enough to be sold. However, the skill and results of good photography lack the container to turn photography as one’s income. The lack of such containers resulted in the photographs being viewed only as works of art. This causes the hobby as a photographer as well as skills in photography sometimes do not gain their economic value.So, a container is needed to facilitate the sale and purchase of photographs produced by photographers or the public. In the Photostock application also has a built-in watermark feature that can automatically add a watermark in your photos in order to avoid copyright infringement. In this application users also can chat with the photo seller.Based on the results of the questionnaire obtained for the application display quality, 60% of other respondents answered not bad and 40% of the other respondents answered well. For feature completeness, 40% of respondents answered not bad, 40% answered well, 20% answered very well. For the entire application, 80% of respondents rated the program as good, and 10% of respondents rated the program very well.

Abstract

Organization X is currently using a manual system to manage the execution of procurement. The system, however, is ineffective to the efficiency and human error in the process of recording and loss of collections. Analyzing this problem, a new application was designed to assist with the workflow in Organization X. The application supports the lifecycle in the library trough circulation, maintenance, and reports. The application is using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 for programming language and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as data storage media. Based on the results of tests performed, the application could launch collection monitoring and manage the opname book. The application is open for develop with more features in the future such as automatic printing for borrowing slip and booking order by phone

Abstract

Internet that we use everyday is not fully secured from hackers that want to do cybercrime. Today, the Internet has become part of our daily lives as one of the means of communication in business as well as for individuals. But behind that there are many holes weakness of the system on the internet that can be exploited by the cracker for not good purposes, such as mail bombs, randomization of home page, data theft, password or credit card number. Most of security that people used in general is only the basic security system.This application is created using the programming language Python and html. The interface of app using Bottle Python Web Framework that can be accessed via IP Gateway. This is made in Raspberry Pi which is equipped with 16x2 LCD.The result of this development is we are able to use VPN and Tor simultaneously so that surfing / browsing on the internet becomes more secure and can access some websites that have been blocked like reddit forum. With this application cyber hackers will have trouble in doing tracking.

Abstract

Game is an activity to find a new challenge or for having fun. Game have several genres like farming game, simulation, strategy, action, and many more. Each tipe has its own advantage and disadvantage like strategy genre is usually more challenging because its rather difficult hand have to stay focus to win. But other game like farming game is very fun but fell not challenging enough because usually farming game is very easy to play.Because of the difficulty reason, this game with farming and strategy genre have enemy that will attack the plants. Player also can protect the plants by killing enemy or by buying a tower that can attack enemy otomatically when an enemy come closer to the plants around that tower. This game is made by using Adobe Flash Professional CS6.From questionnaire average score 7.4, proofing that game with farming and strategy genre will become an interesting game that can be played.
