Those are holes and bend which are from pareto chart analysis. Fishbone diagram analysis is used to find the root cause of holes and bend defect. The main cause of holes and bend defect is injection machine setting. Pres and cycle time are the factors which influence production output. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method is used to analyze the improvement to refuse reject rate. The improvement suggested are materials quality, machine setting, work instruction, and machine control schedule, those improvement can reduce 2% of juventus shelf tray reject rate.

Abstract

To control the production quality in terms of product weight, PT. X needs a standardization in production process. The weight standardization will help ease stocking process for both the company and the distributor. This research is used on the hollow product with chain type A with gold levels of 70%. Some of the products weight are not constant due to the variation of shrinkage percentage in every production process. The solution for this problem is to reduce the variation of shrinkage percentage levels in every production process using PDCA method. The improvement results obtained from PDCA method is shown on hammering, hollowing, and bombing process. On hammering process, a decrease in the shrinkage percentage variation is done by controlling the wire’s thick shrinkage percentage 15%-20% for a 5% shrinkage percentage. The percentage of necklace on hollowing process can’t be controlled, as a result an improvement is needed by giving an accurate range percentage standard, 49%-52% for chain A with gold levels of 70%. The weight shrinkage percentage in bombing process is depending on the size of small, medium, and large chain respectively 4%-5%, 5%-6%, 6%-7%.

Abstract

Construction projects run the risk of not conforming to the initial expectations of development. It is very difficult to estimate the time of a project because a project is not repetitive, there are different challenges in each development project. Delay in completing a project will cause waste in the form of overtime and overbudget. This research was conducted using judgment sampling to 5 respondents who were expert contractors. The objectives to be achieved through this research are to identify the dominant factors causing delays in a residental project using the Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method and modeling the relationship between the factors that cause delays in residential construction projects using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) method. The result of this research is the existence of 8 levels of sub-factor hierarchical structure which becomes the framework for contractors and project owners to reduce the risk of delays in residential construction projects. The dominant causes of delays in project development are design changes during construction, late delivery of materials, late approval of work drawings, late payments, and inappropriate work methods.

Abstract

PT. Temprina Media Grafika is a company engaged in manufacturing packaging production. In the production process PT. Temprina still needs to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. The Lean Manufacturing design uses the Value Stream Mapping method to map the existing problem conditions in the production process and evaluate them. VSM development begins with the creation of the current state VSM, then VSM Kaizen Lightening Burst to focus on the parts of the production station that will be repaired, and VSM Future State to map the flow of the production process after applying alternatives and improvements. The results of the initial analysis of the production process have a VA time of 1,738 minutes, NVA of 1.078 minutes, and a total Lead Time of 2.816 minutes. After identification, analysis, and mapping of the VSM Future State, the VA time did not change, namely 1,738 minutes, the overall NVA decreased to 387 minutes, causing the Total Lead Time to decrease to 2.125 minutes, so that the Total Lead Time experienced a faster improvement by 691 minutes or 24.54%.
