Abstract

Background: Antenatal care (ANC) service program is one of the efforts to reduce maternal mortality. However, as per the Jember District Health Office report in 2021, the coverage of K1 was 103.64% and K4 was 58.67%, which is still below the target of 100%. The low level of public knowledge regarding ANC visits and incomplete counseling provided by midwives to maternal according to the current guidelines were the main reasons for the failure to achieve the K4 target for Integrated ANC visits and the occurrence of MMR in the working area of Sukowono Health Center. Aims: The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Integrated Antenatal Care (ANC) in Sukowono Health Center's working area, Jember Regency. Methods: A descriptive study was conducted in the working area of Sukowono Public Health Center, Jember Regency, focusing on 28 health workers who carried out Integrated ANC. The study recruited a total of 28 midwives through total sampling. The data collection techniques used in this research were interviews and documentation studies. Results: The research and documentation study carried out in the Working Area of Sukowono Public Health Center, Jember Regency, revealed that only two midwives (7.2%) conducted frequent speech interviews (counseling) and mental health assessments in the implementation of 10T in integrated ANC. However, all midwives regularly carried out 10T on K4 in integrated ANC, and only one midwife (3.6%) conducted case management frequently on K6 in Integrated ANC in the Work Area of the Sukowono Health Center, Jember Regency. Conclusion: The implementation of the 10T program in the Integrated ANC of the Sukowono Health Center, Jember Regency, has been evaluated and categorized. The implementation of 10T in K1 has been included in the unfavorable category, while the implementation in K4 has been categorized as good. However, the implementation of 10T in K6 has been included in the unfavorable category. It is crucial for counseling and case management to be carried out properly to ensure the health of mothers and prevent maternal mortality.

Abstract

Background: Health is a basic human right and is guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution and Law Number 17 of 2023. Health centers as first-level health care facilities have the responsibility to improve the quality of service performance. One of the factors that influences nurse performance is the leadership style of the head of Primary Health Care. Aims: This study aims to analyze the relationship between the leadership style of the head of the Primary Health Care and the performance of nurses at the Sedati Primary Health Care, Sidoarjo Regency. Methods: The study used an observational analytical quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach conducted in March–April 2025. A sample of 35 nurses was taken using the total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through interviews with questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Results: Data analysis used the Fisher Exact Test. The results showed that the majority of Health Center heads applied a democratic leadership style (57.1%) and most nurses had high performance (65.7%). The Fisher Exact Test showed a p value = 0.001 (<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between leadership style and nurse performance. Participative and communicative democratic leadership style has been proven to increase nurses' motivation and professionalism. Conclusion: This study concludes that effective leadership style has an important role in improving nurses' performance and the quality of health services at the primary level.

Abstract

Background: Maternal mortality is still a health problem in Indonesia. Antenatal care as a form of prevention program to prevent maternal death. The low coverage of ANC services can be caused by midwives' poor performance in providing services. Permenkes Number 4 of 2019 concerning Health SPM, the performance achievements of district/city regional governments in providing ANC services are assessed from the coverage of health services for pregnant women according to standards in their working areas. Based on Presidential Regulation Number 18 of 2020, the percentage that must be achieved in ANC service coverage is 95%, while data from the NTB Provincial Health Office, the coverage of antenatal care services in Mataram City is below this target with an average K1 and K4 from 2019 - 2021 is 92.67% and 81.66%. Dasan Agung Health Center is a health center located in the city of Mataram, with an average coverage of antenatal care services for K1 and K4 which is still below standard, namely 78.5% for K1 and 60.1% for K4.Aims: the purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to performance in antenatal care services at the Dasan Agung Community Health Center, Mataram City. Method: descriptive research design, the number of samples is 11 people with total sampling. Results: the human resource and leadership variables at the Dasan Agung Health Center tend to be good, the reward and organizational structure variables tend to be quite good. Meanwhile for the performance variable, it was found that the performance of midwives at the Dasan Agung Health Center tended to be good. Conclusion: the results of the study show that the majority of midwives at the Dasan Agung Health Center in Mataram City have good performance in providing antenatal care services
