Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted education, including early childhood education level. Since then, The Indonesian government has asked educational institutions to apply learning from home. Schools all over the country are closed. Changes in the way to teach and learn certainly have an impact. The study aims to consider the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the educational process on early childhood education level in Indonesia based on Educator perspectives. Research data were obtained based on a survey and a semi-structured interview with 61 kindergarten educators. All participants were from Indonesia. Data were collected from April-June 2021. Data analysis used thematic analysis of qualitative data. The result revealed four themes: Educators competency Impact, Effect on parents/family, effect on School Management, and effect on educators’ finances.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memuat masalah perkembangan anak pada program life skill yang diterapkan pada area Prcatical Life pada lembaga KG Semesta International School di kota Semarang. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Metode Montessori mengembangkan life skill di KG Semesta International School. Didalamnya mendeskripsikan pembelajaran yang menganut metode Montessori dengan kegiatan life skill yang berada pada area EPL (Excercise practical life). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Jenis Penelitian yang dipakai adalah field research. Subyek penelitian yaitu kelas Kindergarten A1. Data-data yang dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Deskripsi data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data, reduksi data (proses memilih, memusatkan perhatian dengan penyederhanaan pengabstrakan serta transformasi data kasar), penyajian data dan penarikan simpulan. Keabsahan data diperoleh menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan EPL yang diajarkan di  Kinderganten Semesta International school seperti mencuci tangan sendiri, memakai sabun, mengelap tangan, makan sendiri, sampai membereskan tempat makan. Life Skill yang diajarkan adalah kemandirian dan problem solving. Hambatan yang ditemukan anak masih lelet dan sering dimanja saat di rumah. Untuk menanggulangi hambatan tersebut, pendidik memberikan reward berupa bintang dan poin.

Abstract

As a minority in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field, male teachers and prospective male teachers are likely to face some challenges. Therefore, developing resilience skills is needed. This study aims to investigate the resilience factors of male teachers and prospective male teachers as minorities in the ECE field. Identifying the resilience factors of male teachers and male teacher candidates may guide kindergarten leaders and ECE head study programs in higher education to support male participation in the ECE field. It is descriptive qualitative research involving four male teachers and two prospective male teachers in the Kudus area. In-depth interviews were used to collect the data, while a three-phase analysis of Miles and Huberman was used to analyze the data. Findings showed some risk factors that can be challenges in developing resilience, such as the public’s stereotype about men who choose ECE, low salary, and lack of acceptance from others. On the other hand, some protective factors that support their resilience are their love toward children, family, colleagues, and classmates’ support, as well as religious factors. Collaborative efforts are needed to make the ECE field more gender inclusive, including strengthening the protective factors and teaching resilience to prospective male teachers so they can face some challenges that might arise in the fieldwork.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana strategi pembelajaran mata kuliah APE berbasis PJBL dengan pendekatan ADDIE di Program studi PIAUD. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun subjek penelitian adalah dosen, mahasiswa, dan guru TK. Setting penelitian pada semester lima program studi PIAUD IAIN Kudus Tahun akademik 2023/2024, Analisis data menggunakan verifikasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa penyelarasan strategi pembelajaran berbasis proyek melalui pendekatan tahapan-tahapan analysis, design, development, implementation dan evaluation tersebut dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah APE. mahasiswa memiliki pengalaman kolaborasi partisipasi aktif belajar bersama dosen, antar teman mahasiswa, guru TK, dan bersentuhan langsung dengan  dunia nyata siswa TK/RA. Mahasiswa melakukan pembelajaran secara teoritis dan praktik langsung dari kelas mata kuliahnya sendiri dan di lapangan praktis saat di kelas TK. Mahasiswa memiliki kompetensi dalam memahami konsep dan kompetensi ketrampilan dalam merancang, mengembangkan, menggunakan, pembuatan, penilaian dan melakukan pembelajaran alat permainan edukatif di kelas.
