Abstract

The supply chain dynamics has been broadly examined and experienced by the academes, industrialists as well as economists. However, still the literature is missing with the effect of economic indicators on supply chain practices, particularly in fishing industry. Therefore, the objective of the current study is to examine the role of economic indicators on supply chain in fishing industry of Indonesia. Fishing industry is one of the industries which is working from many centuries and now growing rapidly and considered to be the important element of economic growth in different countries like Indonesia. Six hypotheses were formulated with the help of previous studies, concerning the relationship between inflation rate, interest rate, human development index (HDI), gross domestic product (GDP) and supply chain. GDP was considered as the mediating variable. Managerial employees of fishing companies were selected as the respondents of this study. Primary data was collected by conducting the questionnaire survey. Total number of one hundred and ninety-six (196) response were received. These responses were analysed with the help of statistical software namely; Partial Least Square (PLS). It was found that economic indicators have influence on supply chain. Increases in inflation rate and interest rate decreases the supply chain. However, increases in HDI enhances the GDP and promote supply chain activities. Additionally, GDP is a mediating variable between HDI and supply chain which positively enhances the supply chain through HDI. Thus, study provides the clues for government to promote supply chain by controlling inflation and interest rate.

Abstract

The results of this study can be concluded as follows: 1. Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction have an effect on Employee Turnover. 2. Organizational Commitment is influenced by Job Satisfaction. Employees who feel a high level of job satisfaction will remain committed to the company. 3. Job satisfaction has a negative effect on employee turnover. Employees who are not dissatisfied with their work will do employee turnover. 4. Based on the results of the hypothesis test (t test), partially the Job Satisfaction variable and the Organizational Commitment variable have a significant effect on Employee Turnover. In addition, the negative direction of the variable Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment to Employee Turnover indicates that the higher Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment will affect the decrease in employee turnover, which means it has a good impact on the company. Vice versa if job satisfaction and organizational commitment are getting lower, it will have a negative impact on the company, which will affect the increase in employee turnover.

Abstract

Low-income nations face significant challenges in achieving economic growth and price stability due to limited institutional capacity, external shocks, and high poverty rates. This study aims to explore how fiscal, monetary, trade, and regulatory policies influence these dual objectives in such contexts. Using a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review, the research synthesizes findings from peer-reviewed journals, books, and reports spanning the last two decades. The analysis reveals that fiscal policies focused on infrastructure and human capital development drive economic growth, as seen in countries like Ethiopia and Rwanda, but require careful management to avoid inflationary pressures. Monetary policies stabilize prices through interest rate adjustments, yet tight measures can hinder investment in resource-constrained settings. Trade policies enhance growth by fostering market integration, though reliance on commodity exports risks price volatility. Strong governance is critical for effective policy implementation, while external dependencies limit autonomy. The study concludes that coordinated, context-specific policies are essential for balancing growth and stability. Policymakers should prioritize institutional reforms and adaptive strategies to enhance resilience and promote sustainable development in low-income nations.
