Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tentang karakteristik kepemimpinan Kiai generasi ketujuh di Pondok Pesantren Riyadlul Ulum Wadda'wah Tasikmalaya. Deskripsi tersebut meliputi: kepribadian, motivasi, keterampilan, dan karakteristik dominan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian fenomenologi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles Huberman. Hasil penelitian: (1) Karakteristik kepribadian kepemimpinan kiai yaitu tawadhu, dibuktikan dengan sikap kiai yang tidak ingin diposisikan sebagai orang yang memiliki otoritas penuh terhadap segala sesuatu, seperti mengizinkan santrinya untuk menjadi imam shalat fardhu dan khatib shalat Jum’at. (2) Karakteristik motivasi kepemimpinan kiai meliputi motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Motivasi intrinsik yaitu kewajiban untuk terus berdakwah lii’laikalimaatillah. Motivasi ekstrinsik yaitu untuk menjalankan amanat dan kepercayaan masyarakat. (3) Keterampilan yang dikuasai oleh kiai meliputi: keterampilan teknis, seperti mengajar, bertani/berkebun, dan beternak; keterampilan interpersonal seperti menjadi teladan dalam beribadah; keterampilan konseptual seperti memunculkan gagasan-gagasan baru dalam pendidikan dan pengajaran. (4) Karakteristik dominan kiai yaitu: tawadhu dan amanah. Kata Kunci: karakteristik kepemimpinan, kepemimpinan kiai THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE SEVENTH GENERATION KIAI’S LEADERSHIP IN RIYADLUL ULUM WADDA'WAH ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL TASIKMALAYA Abstract This research aims to obtain a description of the characteristics of the seventh generation Kiai’s leadership in Islamic Boarding School of Riyadlul Ulum Wadda'wah Tasikmalaya. The descriptions include: personality, motivation, skills, and dominant characteristics. This is empirical research with a qualitative approach with phenomenology. Data were collected by interviews, observation, and documentation, and then analyzed using data analysis Miles Huberman interactive model techniques. The results of this research are: (1) The characteristic of leadership personalities of Kiai is tawadhu. It is evidenced by kiai’s attitude that doesn’t want to be positioned as a man has a full directionary to the everythings, such as allowing his santri to become fardhu prayer leader and khatib in Friday prayer. (2) Leadership characteristics motivation of Kiai includes intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation occurs because the obligation to continue to preach lii'laikalimaatillah. The extrinsic motivation are to execute the mandate and public confidence. (3) The skills that are mastered by Kiai include: technical skill, such as teaching, farming/gardening, and livestock; interpersonal skills as an example in worship; conceptual skills as bring new ideas in education and teaching. Abstract

The purposes this study to find the implications of distributed leadership on the role of principal qualitative research approach with the type of phenomenology used in this study. The research instrument is the researcher himself. Key informant is the principal. Research respondents were deputy principals, homeroom teachers, and administrative staff. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models. Data validity is done through credibility, dependability, transferability, and confirmability. The results of the study found that the distributed leadership implications of the role of the principal are: delegators, democrats, participators, facilitators, team leaders, do not show the greatest, not as heroes, collaborators, coordinators, communicators, evaluators, priority scales, empowerers and counselors

Abstract

Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMKN di Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta melalui 5 tinjauan variabel bebas, yaitu: “Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah (X1), Budaya Sekolah (X2), Iklim Organisasi (X3), Manajemen Mutu Guru (X4), dan Total Quality Management (X5)”. Kelima variabel bebas tersebut akan dilihat sejauhmana besar pengaruhnya terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa (Y) yang merupakan variabel terikat dalam kajian ini. Jenis kajian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam kajian ini adalah 69 orang di SMKN di Provinsi D.I Yogyakarta dan sample yang diambil  sebanyak61 guru. Analisis data menggunakan dua teknik yaitu statistik deskriptif kuantitatif dan yang kedua menggunakan Regresi. Melalui 61  responden didapatkan hasil bahwa Hasil Belajar Siswa (Y) sangat dipengaruhi oleh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah (X1), Budaya Sekolah (X2), Iklim Organisasi (X3), Manajemen Mutu Guru (X4), dan Total Quaity Managemen (X5).

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui sejauhmana pengaruh kepemimpinan mutu kepala SMKN 2 Depok Sleman dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan melalui 8 Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP); (2) sejauhmana pengaruh kepemimpinan distributif kepala SMKN 2 Pengasih Kulon Progo dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan melalui 8 Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP). Kajian ini merupakan kajian kuantitatif. Populasi kajian adalah seluruh guru (termasuk kepala sekolah) yang mengajar di SMKN 2 Depok Sleman dan SMKN 2 Pengasih Kulon Progo di Provinsi D.I Yogyakarta. Sampel penelitian dipilih 30 Guru (termasuk kepala sekolah) berjumlah 30 masing-masing sekolah, sehingga total sampel berjumlah 60 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dimana untuk menambahan informasi menggunakan observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik kuantitatif dengan terlebih dahulu data diuji normalitas, linieritas dan multikolinieritas kemudian baru dapat dilanjutkan dengan analisis regresi tunggal. Hasil kajian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Kepemimpinan mutu (X1) Kepala SMKN 2 Depok tidak berpengaruh terhadap SNP (Y) dengan nilai Sig. 0,543 (syarat berpengaruh nilai sig. 0, 05); (2) Kepemimpinan distributif (X2) Kepala SMKN 2 Pengasih berpengaruh terhadap SNP (Y) dengan nilai Sig. 0,004 (syarat berpengaruh nilai sig. 0, 05).

Abstract

The objective of the research was to: (1) find the level of integrated learning effectiveness between the entrepreneurship subjects and the stone and concrete practical subject from the perspective of the teachers and the students; (2) to find the level of integrated learning implementation between the entrepreneurship subject and the stone and concrete practical subject; (3) to find the level of teacher and student activities within the integrated learning between the entrepreneurship subject and the stone and concrete practical subject; and (4) to find the level of student readiness within the integrated learning between the entrepreneurship subject and the stone and concrete practical subject. The researchers implemented the Research and Development approach with an orientation toward the product development. The research period in the form of learning implementation within the classroom was from January to February 2013. The research site was in 2 Pengasih State Vocational High School Kulonprogo. The research subjects were the students of XI Grade Stone and Concrete Construction Engineering, 2 Pengasih State Vocational High School, Kulonprogo. The research procedures were divided into two stages namely: (1) pre-integrated learning implementation; and (2) integrated learning implementation. The research data included: (1) the effectiveness of integrated learning from the perspective of the teachers and the students; (2) the implementation of integrated learning; (3) the level of activeness that the teachers and the students exposed; and (4) the readiness of the students for performing entrepreneurship based on the achievement of learning competences in the domain of knowledge, attitude and skill. The data analysis was performed in a descriptive-qualitative manner by providing logical narratives  according to the research objectives. The results of the research were as follows: (1) the implementation of integrated learning, from the perspective of both the teachers and the students, had been in the category of effective to very effective; (2) the implementation of integrated learning had been in the category of good to very good; (3) the teachers and the students had been in the category of active to very active; and (4) the students had been in the category of ready for performing the entrepreneurship with the achievement of learning scores for more than the already determined passing grade.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop a partnership model of vocational education with business sectors in civil engineering expertise program of vocational secondary schools in Bali and (2)testing the effectiveness and efficiency of partnership model developed. The study used the design and development model of Richey Klein (2009), which consists of three main phases, namely the phase of model development, model validation, and model testing. The phase of model development used the qualitative approach, through literature review, observation and interview. Expert review techniques were used in the model validation phase. The model testing used pre-experimental design with one-shot case study. The study found that the partnership model of vocational education with the business sector in civil engineering expertise program of vocational secondary schools in Bali involves several components, such as key stakeholders, the underlying principle of partnership, orientation/common goal, the management of educational resources (teachers and facilities), curriculum development, implementation of learning/training and work practices, competency test of graduates, distribution of learning outcomes/output, as well as monitoring, evaluation and feedback of partnership program. Experimental results show that the partnership model developed has met all of the criteria (effective, practical and efficient).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja guru SMK sebagai pendidik, pengajar, pembimbing, pengarah, pelatih, penilai dan pengevaluasi pada program keahlian Teknik Bangunan di DIY. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan variabel kinerja guru dan subvariabel: pendidik, pengajar, pembimbing, pengarah, pelatih, penilai, dan pengevaluasi. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah para guru SMK Negeri di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta untuk kompetensi keahlian teknik bangunan sejumlah 115 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup dengan 4 pilihan jawaban yang dijaring melalui pendapat para guru. Uji coba validasi instrumen dilakukan dengan analisis butir dan reliabilitas dihitung menggunakan formula Alpha dari Cronbach. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kinerja guru SMK program keahlian Teknik Bangunan di DIY secara keseluruhan memiliki tingkat kinerja yang cukup tinggi. Rerata kinerja guru secara keseluruhan 74.09 dengan rentang skor 26 – 104. Kinerja guru sebagai pendidik memiliki tingkat kinerja yang tinggi, sebagai pengajar memiliki tingkat kinerja cukup tinggi, sebagai pembimbing memiliki tingkat kinerja cukup tinggi, sebagai pengarah memiliki tingkat kinerja yang tinggi, sebagai pelatih memiliki tingkat kinerja cukup tinggi, sebagai penilai memiliki tingkat kinerja cukup tinggi dan sebagai pengevaluasi memiliki tingkat kinerja cukup tinggi. THE TEACHING PERFORMANCE OF THE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS TEACHERS, DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING IN YOGYAKARTA SPECIAL TERRITORY (DIY)AbstractThe Objective of this research is to know the teaching performance of the teachers of Civil Engineering department in DIY as educator, and teacher, and guide, and director, and coach, and assesor, and evaluator.This was descriptive quantitative research by using teacher’s performance as the variable and subvariables of teacher, instructoxr, guide, director, coach, assesor and evaluator. The populations of the study were 115 teachers of vocational high school in DIY. The teacher have expertise civil engineering. The data were collected by using closed question-naire with four respose choices given to the teachers. The validity of the instrumen was measured through item analysis, while the reability was measured by using Alpha Cronbach Formula.The results of the research show that the teaching performance of vocational school that the teaching performance of vocational school teachers of civil engineering departement in DIY totally have high criterion. The teaching performance was high criterion, teacher’s performance as an educator was have high criterion, teacher’s performance as a guide was have high criterion, teacher’s performance as a director was high criterion, teacher’s performance as a coach was have high criterion, teacher’s performance as an assesor was have high criterion, teacher’s performance as an evaluator was have criterion.

Abstract

The importance of optimizing leadership in educational institutions has now become an absolute necessity to achieve maximum results. This study highlights the implementation of leadership as a means to leverage various resources, explore opportunities, solve challenges and lead organizations to successfully achieve goals. In particular, this case study research has the aim of reviewing and implementing the implementation of innovation and entrepreneurial leadership of school principals in creating a learning environment. Thirty vocational high school teachers and two vocational high school principals acted as informants in this study. Through the use of Miles and Huberman's interactive qualitative analysis model, the results of his research indicate that the principal in implementing entrepreneurial leadership uses two ways. First, the principal manages organizational growth by optimizing, communicating, motivating, monitoring, controlling, exemplary and empowering. Second, the principal creates innovation through several improvements: vision building, staff development and restructuring. The implication is that it can create a positive learning environment for school members, encouraging them to innovate in academic and non-academic fields. It is necessary to help principals create a positive learning environment. In addition, the findings of this study can be a reference for applying entrepreneurial leadership to support teachers and students in making some innovations.

Abstract

The research aims to know the factors that influence optimizing vocational high school facilities and infrastructure. By optimizing vocational high school facilities and infrastructure, it becomes strategic enough to contributeto the administrative performance, quality of learning, and quality of graduates. The research used a quantitative approach using questioners as the instruments of data collection with several 124 respondents.The analysis technique used a multiple regression test with one dependent variable and four independent variables. The results of the research conclude that the factors of student need (ρ = 0,016) and motivation (ρ = 0,024) significantly influence while the factor of rule (ρ = 0,169) and partnership (ρ = 0,108) do not significantly influence the optimization of facilities and infrastructures in Vocational High School.The four factors have a significant effect on ρ = 0,000.

Abstract

This study examines leadership values ​​that inspire in building superior vocational high schools, including creative, innovative, proactive, risk taking, communicative, motivational, personal, and strategy. This type of research is a case study where data is collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, document analysis, and observation of audio visual material. The analysis was carried out by making transcriptions of data, notes, video recordings, and documents; generate ideas, codify data, design themes and interpret data. The results show that entrepreneurial leadership has a positive effect on the performance of leaders. This article is expected to be a guide for school principals in obtaining and practicing inspiring entrepreneurial leadership values ​​to increase the effectiveness of their schools and to facilitate the process of a quality school. Regarding the results, this study implies that inspiring leadership serves as one of the key factors for building excellent vocational high schools. However, due to the limitations of this study, further research is needed.
