Abstract

This case study was carried out in 1998 by employing a qualitativinterpretive tradition to invstigate teacher’s conception of the nature of learning and teaching from the Active Learning point of view. The eight school were selected from kecamaan Sewon, Bantul and Kecamatan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta based on the Sub-district educaional Authority. Teachers selected to participate in this study were the best teachers in term of their impleentation of Active Learning in the classroom from each of those schools as recommended by the Principal. Data were gathered by interviewing teachers sample. The data gathered was transcribed then sent to the interviewee for validation, then coded and analyzed. The grounded theory principles of coding were used in analyzing data. This study identified three types of teacher’s conception of learning and teaching from Active Learning approach perspectives: the traditional views, process skill views and constructivist view. It is suggested for further research aimed at investigating to what extent are the teachers able to implement their beliefs and conception of the nature of learning ang teaching into classroom practice. Abstract

Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) merupakan kebijakan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, untuk mendorong mahasiswa agar bisa menguasai berbagai keilmuan yang berguna dalam memasuki dunia kerja. Dalam mendukung kebijakan MBKM tersebut perlu mengukur kesiapan kampus terutama dalam bertransformasi terhadap perubahan industri yang menuju pada industri 4.0. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengukur kesiapan Pusbang KKN (Pusat Pengembangan Kuliah Kerja Nyata) UNNES yang merupakan pelaksana program dari salah satu Program kebijakan MBKM. Kesiapan diukur dengan kuesioner indeks kesiapan industri 4.0 Indonesia (INDI 4.0) yang merupakan indeks pengukuran tingkat kesiapan dalam bertransformasi menuju Industri 4.0 yang memiliki 5 pilar 17 bidang. Masing-masing pilar dilakukan penilaian pada sesuai level kesiapan dan dilakukan pembobotan nilai, selanjutnya secara kesuluruhan nilai pilar dijumlah, nilai akhir disesuaikan dengan range nilai kesiapan INDI 4.0. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh data pada pilar pertama manajemen dan organisasi berada pada level 3 dengan nilai 52,5. Pilar orang dan budaya ada di level 4 dengan nilai 120. Pilar Produk dan layanan dan Pilar teknologi masing-masing berada pada level 4 dengan nilai 70. Pada kriteria operasional berada di level 3 dengan nilai 52,5. Sehingga nilai keseluruhan menjadi 365 yang selanjutnya dibagi 100% dan hasil akhirnya sebesar 3,65. Melihat dari range tingkat kesiapan INDI 4.0 nilai tersebut berada pada level 4 yaitu tingkat kesiapan sudah menerapkan Industri 4.0. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan Pusbang KKN UNNES yang diukur secara self assessment menggunakan INDI 4.0 berada pada tingkat sudah menerapkan industri 4.0.

Abstract

BNSP technical competence gets high legality on the side of the industry, while not all test participants can acquire it. Until now, studies that discuss relevant competency test models on automotive engine technology are still limited, not specific or even non-existent. The objective of this research is to produce a Competency Test Model for Engine Tune Up-System Injection and determine the characteristics after the model is applied. The subject of development consists of assesses (vocational education graduates, workers and educators), experts, and assessors from related Professional Certification Institutions (LSP). Instrument validation was conducted through expert judgment and feasibility trials. Reliability tests were performed using alpha and interrater coefficient analysis. The results of the test analysis include (1) competency test model assessment using the CBA approach; (2) competency dimension elements in instruments development are in the form of TS, TMS, CMS, EMS, and JRES; and (3) the characteristics of competency assessment include equipment verification of adequacy, avoiding impartiality, meeting requirements, transparent and accounTable, and able to produce recommendations as "competent" and "non-competent". The obtained findings showed that the developed competency test model could be used as a reference for use in vocational education.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the pattern of entrepreneurship education in the vocational high school of agribusiness and agrotechnology fields. This research used the qualitative method with a case study approach. The technique of participants determination used snowball sampling. Research participants are teachers of entrepreneurship subjects and vocational subjects (productive) of Agribusiness and Agrotechnology expertise in SMK Negeri 1 Temanggung and SMK Negeri 1 Bawen. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and other relevant sources. The data analysis technique referred to the Interactive Model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana which includes data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion. This research found a pattern of entrepreneurial education consists of four stages: input, process, output, outcome. The primary strategy of entrepreneurship education is (1) learning strategies of collaboration and integration of entrepreneurial subjects with vocational subjects, (2) entrepreneurial growth strategies in schools. Entrepreneurial education outcomes are: (1) graduates choose careers as entrepreneur directly after graduating from the school, or indirectly after working first, (2) graduates can develop and expand the market.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the significance of the direct effect of industrial work practices on work readiness, vocational competency, and employability skills, the direct effect of work readiness on employability skills, and the direct effect of vocational competency on employability skills. Furthermore, it was to find out the significance of the indirect effect of industrial work practices on employability skills through work readiness, indirect effect of industrial work practices to employability skills through vocational competency. The significance of the effect founds was expected to enhance the knowledge and consideration for developing employability skills vocational high school (VHS) students especially at industrial work practice, work readiness, vocational competency at vocational high school. The research used quantitative approach with ex-post facto type. The data were analyzed quantitavely to test the formulated hypotesis. The research was conducted at State and Private Vocational High School in DIY. The study population was grade XII students majoring in mechanical engineering. The research samples were 444 student who were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collection techniques were questionnairies distribution and documentation. The content validity was established using expert judgment. The construct validity was establised using analysis factor by Kaiser Meyer Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy (KMO MSA) with value of 0.691. The reliability of the research was judged using cronbachs alpha with value for work readiness of 0.921 and employability skills of 0.864. The data analysis technique used path analysis. The result showed that (1) direct effect of industrial work practice on work readiness was found with r 23.3%, (2) direct effect of industrial work practices on vocational competency was found with r 28.2%, (3) direct effect of work readiness on employability skills was found with r 10.1%, (4) direct effect of work readiness on employability skills was found with r 50.1%, (5) direct effect of vocational competency on employability skills was found with r 15.4%, (6) indirect effect of industrial work practices on employability skills through work readiness was found with r 11.7%, (7) indirect effect of industrial work practices on employability skills through vocational competency was found with r 4,3%. Employability skills can be improved through effective implementation of industry work practice, work readiness, and vocational competency.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan relevansi kemitraan smk dengan dunia industri boga; (2) mendeskripsikan mekanisme kerja sekolah menengah kejuruan dengan dunia industri  (3) mendeskripsikan hubungan kerjasama sekolah kejuruan dengan dunia industri. (4) mendeskripsikan  keterampilan kerja peserta didik yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini akan menggambarkan secara jelas mengenai kemitraan antara sekolah menengah kejuruan boga dengan dunia industri dalam rangka meningkatkan keterampilan kerja peserta didik yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia industri. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK A, SMK B, SMK C dan SMK D jurusan boga dan di Hotel A, Hotel B, Catering A, Catering B, Restaurant A dan Restaurant B di kawasan Yogyakarta yang digunakan dalam on the job training. Pengambilan data dalam  penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2018 sampai Maret 2019. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan angket, wawawncara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Luaran yang ingin dicapai yaitu memperoleh gambaran mengenai kemitraan yang dilakukan sekolah dengan dunia industri guna mengetahui keterampilan kerja yang dibutuhkan oleh dunia industri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemitraan smk jurusan boga dengan dunia industri boga yaitu sebesar 75,33%. Hasil penelitian pada mekanisme kerja sekolah smk jurusan boga dengan dunia industri yaitu sebesar 74,4%. Hasil penelitian  hubungan kerjasama smk jurusan boga dengan dunia industri yaitu sebesar 76,5%.  Hasil penelitian  pada keterampilan kerja yang dibutuhkan industri sebesar 78 %. Simpulan: relevansi kemitraan sekolah menengah kejuruan boga dengan dunia industri masuk dalam kategori cukup relevan dan menghasilkan cakupan keterampilan kerja yang dibutuhkan oleh dunia industri.

Abstract

PRODUCTION-BASED LEARNING TO IMPROVE COMPETENCE IN MAKING MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DRAWINGS OF VOCATIONAL STUDENTSThis study is aimed at improving quality of learning process of Mechanical Drawing by employing Production Based Training to achieve mechanical drafter competency. Consecutively this research will also develop teacher's professionalism in managing learning process of Mechanical Drawing at SMK Sf Mikael.This classroom action research was conducted in SMK St. Mikael Surakarta. Grade XI was assigned to be subject of this research. Two collaborators were assigned to back up and assist the researchers to monitor the effects of action on student competency in mechanical drawing. The changes due to the action are monitored through observation by involving the two collaborators. The collected data was analyzed descriptively. The data analysis resulted in the following findings: (a) production based learning improves students achievement in reaching the minimum mastery criteria on Mechanical Drawing and more specifically improves student competency in producing machining industries standardized of Mechanical Working Drawing, (b) a process of expertise acquition in mechanical working drawing through combination of constructivism learning principles, behaviorism, situated learning and cognitive apprenticeship; (c) the production-based learning increases students' ability behave discipline and attitude toward mechanical drawing, and (d) production based learning was implemented through classroom discussion on the mechanical drawing principles, its implementation on working drawings, integrating knowledge on components stradard as well as production process into working drawing.

Abstract

Abstrak: Implementasi Pembelajaran Berbasis Kompetensi di SMK. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi pada program studi keahlian Agribisnis Produksi Tanaman di SMKN 1 Pandak Bantul. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah guru produktif sebanyak 5 orang, ketua progam studi keahlian 1 orang, dan kepala sekolah 1 orang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan lewat wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan interactive model dari Miles Huberman: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi, menginterpretasikan, mengambraksi untuk merumuskan konsep dan teori. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian (1) pendekatan pembelajaran mengikuti pendekatan behavioristik, kognitifistik, konstruktivistik, dan representasinya pada penggunaan motivasi, media, dan metode yang sesuai karakteristik peserta didik untuk mengoptimalkan kepekaan sensori peserta didik; (2) stratergi belajar aktif pada umumya dilaksanakan oleh responden. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran, kompetensi, produksi tanaman, pembelajaran agroindustri Abstract: The Implementation of Competency Based Instruction at SMK. This research aims at exploring competency based learning implementation in Agribusiness of Plant Production study program of SMK Negeri 1 Pandak Bantul. The qualitative naturalistic approach was employed in this research. The research subjects consist of five productive teachers, one Head of Study Program, and one head master. A deep interview and observation are exploited to obtain the data. The results suggest that (1) most practiced instructional approaches implemented behavioristic, cognitivistic, and construtivistic approaches in order to optimize students’ sensor sensitivity; (2) in general the respondents applied active learning strategy. Abstract

AbstractImproving Analytical, Synthetic, and Evaluative Skills through Problem-Solving Learning. This study aims to improve high-level cognitive abilities of thestudents of SMKN 2 Wonosari through problem solving. This study was an actionresearch study conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 32 Year 2 students ofAutomotive Mechanical Engineering of SMKN 2 Wonosari. The instrument was theresearcher, equipped with teacher observation sheets and student and teacherfeedbacks. The data were analyzed by the quantitative descriptive technique,supported by the qualitative technique. The study showed that the atmosphere wasmore conducive for learning, indicated by the improvement of students activenessin asking questions, the decrease of off-tasks, and the decrease of ones dependenceon others. The level of class disturbance tended to decrease, indicated by thedecreasing number of relaxed and noisy students. There was an improvement oflearning mastery although it was relatively small. The improvement of studentscognitive abilities was high, indicated by their scores that tended to increase andtheir work reports after learning.Keywords: analytical, synthetic, and evaluative skills, problem solving
