Abstract

Learning mathematics online, especially in Linear Algebra courses requires mathematical software-based teaching materials, to strengthen the understanding of numerical concepts. The purpose of this research is to produce MATLAB Mobile-based textbooks that are suitable to support online learning. This development research uses a 4-D model containing 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. This research was conducted at the Mathematics Education Study Program, the University of PGRI Madiun with 20 students as the subject of the fourth semester. The research instrument and data collection in this study used validation sheets, response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. Data analysis of the validation sheet and questionnaire used the Likert scale and the Guttman scale, while the data analysis of the learning outcomes test used the Normalized Gain Score (n-Gain). This study produced a Linear Algebra textbook based on MATLAB Mobile to support online learning during the Covid 19 pandemic with a validity percentage of 86,5% (valid), practicality percentage 83,4% (practical), and an n-Gain score of 46,7 (moderately effectiveness). So that the textbooks developed are suitable to support online learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan metakognitif siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan pada materi pola bilangan ditinjau dari brain dominance. Penentuan subjek berdasarkan brain dominance siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 13 Madiun. Berdasarkan angket brain dominance yang dibagikan diperoleh 4 subjek yang terdiri dari 2 subjek left brain dominance dan 2 subjek right brain dominance. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil angket, tes, dan wawancara. Teknik keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) subjek left brain dominance memenuhi tiga aspek memenuhi tiga aspek kemampuan metakognitif yaitu mengembangkan perencanaan, memonitor pelaksanaan dan mengevaluasi tindakan dan dari ketiga aspek yang termunculkan siswa dengan left brain dominance memiliki tingkat kemampuan metakognitif reflective use. (2) subjek rightt brain dominance memenuhi tiga aspek memenuhi tiga aspek kemampuan metakognitif yaitu mengembangkan perencanaan, memonitor pelaksanaan dan mengevaluasi tindakan dan dari ketiga aspek yang termunculkan siswa dengan right brain dominance memiliki tingkat kemampuan metakognitif aware use dan strategic use Abstract This study aims to analyze the metacognitive abilities of junior high school students in solving problems in the number pattern material in terms of brain dominance. In determining subjects based on brain dominance of VIIIC grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Madiun. Based on the brain dominance questionnaire distributed obtained 4 subjects consisting of 2 subjects left brain dominance and 2 subjects right brain dominance. The type of research used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study are based on the results of questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The data validity technique is done by triangulation techniques. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data presentation, and data verification and conclusion drawing. The conclusions from the results of this study are (1) the left brain dominance subject fulfills three aspects of fulfilling three aspects of metacognitive abilities namely developing planning, monitoring implementation and evaluating actions and of the three aspects that arise students with left brain dominance have a level of reflective use metacognitive ability. (2) the rightt brain dominance subject fulfills three aspects of meeting three aspects of metacognitive abilities, namely developing planning, monitoring implementation and evaluating actions and of the three aspects that arise students with right brain dominance have a level of metacognitive abilities aware of use and strategic use

Abstract

This research is meant to understand the thinking profile of students in solving the system linear problem seen from mathematical logic intelligence. This is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique used in this research are test and interview. The data validation method is done through triangulation method. The data analysis method is done through data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The subject used in this research is selected through mathematical logic intelligence test score of first semester students from Information Technique Department. Based on the test score of mathematical logic intelligence, the researcher selected three subjects which is then categorized into three categories namely, high, medium and low. The conclusion of this research are: 1) student with high mathematical logic intelligence in the stage of finding and writing all information, in incubation stage, student can solve problem through varied solution methods, in the insight stage, student can understand the problem well by coming to the same answer through varied methods, 2) student with medium mathematical logic intelligence solved the problem at the stage of finding information needed, in incubation stage by choosing different method from what is taught, at the insight stage, student can find the result through his own method, 3) student with low mathematical logic intelligence at the preparation stage can find all information needed, at the incubation stage, student tried varied methods, but until insight stage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep berdasarkan taksonomi bloom dalam memecahkan masalah aljabar ditinjau dari kemampuan kognitif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Wungu. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Subjek dengan kemampuan kognitif tinggi dapat memenuhi semua tahapan pemecahan masalah dan memenuhi semua indikator pemahaman konsep berdasarkan taksonomi bloom. (2) Subjek dengan kemampuan kognitif sedang hanya memenuhi beberapa tahapan pemecahan masalah yang meliputi memahami masalah, merencanakan pemecahan masalah, dan menyelesaikan pemecahan masalah, serta memenuhi beberapa indikator pemahaman konsep yaitu pengetahuan, pemahaman, penerapan, dan analisis. (3) Subjek dengan kemampuan kognitif rendah hanya memenuhi tahapan penyelesaian masalah memahami masalah dan merencanakan pemecahan masalah, serta memenuhi beberapa indikator pemahaman konsep yaitu pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan penerapan. This study aims to describe the understanding of concepts based on bloom's taxonomy in solving algebra problems in terms of cognitive abilities. The research method used is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were eighth grade students of SMPN 2 Wungu. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that (1) Subjects with high cognitive abilities can meet all stages of problem solving and meet all indicators of understanding concepts based on bloom taxonomy. (2) Subjects with cognitive abilities are only fulfilling several stages of problem solving which include understanding the problem, planning problem solving, and solving problem solving, as well as fulfilling several indicators of concept understanding namely knowledge, understanding, application, and analysis. (3) Subjects with low cognitive abilities only meet the stages of problem solving, understanding problems and planning problem solving, as well as meeting several indicators of concept understanding, namely knowledge, understanding, and application.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas media tutorial matlab berbasis web pada materi perkuliahan metode numerik sebagai penguatan literasi digital. Untuk mencapai tujuan itu digunakan model Plomp yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: fase investigasi awal, fase desain, fase realisasi/konstruksi, fase test, evaluasi dan revisi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 4 di Universitas PGRI Madiun semester keempat tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Subjek penelitian dibagi menjadi 2 jenis yaitu, subjek uji coba terbatas dan subjek uji coba lapangan. Instrumen penelitian adalah lembar validasi media tutorial matlab, angket respon mahasiswa, dan tes prestasi belajar. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yang memenuhi kriteria validitas 82,00%. (2) Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memenuhi aspek praktis 82,22% dan untuk uji coba lapangan 82,50% (3), Media pembelajaran dikembangkan untuk memenuhi kriteria efektivitas dalam uji coba terbatas 83,33% dan uji coba lapangan 87,50%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media tutorial yang dikembangkan layak dan sesuai untuk digunakan sebagai penguatan literasi digital. Kondisi pencapaian penguatan literasi digital dengan menggunakan media tutorial matlab berbasis web sebesar 70,83% terkategorikan cukup dominan terhadap aspek (1) penggunaan teknologi, (2) penggunaan smartphone dan (5) Online Safety. AbstractThis study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of web-based matlab tutorial media on numerical method lecture materials as strengthening digital literacy. To achieve this goal, the Plomp model is used which consists of four stages, namely: the initial investigation phase, the design phase, the realization / construction phase, the test phase, evaluation and revision. The subjects in this study were 4th semester students at PGRI Madiun University in the fourth semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Research subjects are divided into 2 types, namely, limited trial subjects and field trial subjects. The research instruments were the validation sheet of the matlab tutorial media, student response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The results of this study are (1) developed learning media that meet the validity criteria of 82.00%. (2) The learning media developed fulfills the practical aspects of 82.22% and for field trials 82.50% (3), the learning media is developed to meet the effectiveness criteria in limited trials 83.33% and field trials 87.50%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the tutorial media developed are feasible and suitable for use as digital literacy strengthening. The condition for achieving digital literacy strengthening using web-based matlab tutorial media is 70.83% categorized as quite dominant in aspects (1) use of technology, (2) use of smartphones and (5) Online Safety.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh project based learning berbasis media interaktif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa pada materi garis singgung lingkaran. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika Universitas PGRI Madiun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi korelasional untuk melihat hubungan antara project based learning berbasis media interaktif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 58 siswa, dan sampel menggunakan semua populasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes prestasi belajar dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi sederhana dengan rumus koefisien korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa project based learning berbasis media interaktif memiliki korelasi positif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa sebesar 77%. Ini menunjukkan bahwa selain project based learning berbasis media interaktif, masih ada 23% dari faktor lain yang memiliki efek positif pada keterampilan komunikasi matematika siswa. AbstractThis study aims to see the effect of project-based learning using interactive media on students' mathematical communication skills in tangent circles. The subjects in this study were students of mathematics education study program at PGRI Madiun University. This type of research is a correlational study to see the relationship between project-based learning using interactive media on students' mathematical communication skills. The population in this study amounted to 58 students, and the sample used all populations. This study uses a learning achievement test instrument and a mathematical communication ability test. Analysis of the data used in this study is a simple regression analysis with the product moment correlation coefficient formula. The results showed that project-based learning using interactive media had a positive correlation with students' mathematical communication skills by 77%. This shows that besides project-based learning using interactive media, there are still 23% of other factors that have a positive effect on students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there is a relationship between learning motivation and student academic achievement using mobile Matlab. This research was conducted at Universitas PGRI Madiun referring to the measurement of the results of student learning motivation using mobile Matlab on linear algebra material. The method used in this research is the survey method with correlation technique. The use of these methods aims to determine the amount of influence and impact of student learning motivation using mobile Matlab on the acquisition of academic achievement in linear algebra material. The population in this study involved 25 students with a purposive sampling technique. The Likert scale used in learning motivation is a tool used in this study as an instrument. Exposure of data from the calculation of 25 items of questionnaire learning motivation by using Matlab mobile then obtained reliability results with Cronbach's Alpha of 0.853 (consistent) and the validity results on all items above the calculated r-table of 0.195 then declared valid. The results of this study, have a positive relationship between student learning motivation using mobile Matlab on academic achievement. However, it appears that learning motivation has a role level of 55.20% on learning achievement and the rest is due to the impact of the influence of variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Many factors that affect learning achievement include intelligence, interest and attention, motivation to learn, learning mathematics based on numeracy literacy, perseverance, attitude, study habits, as well as physical and health conditions. Learning mathematics based on numeracy literacy is one of the important factors to improve learning achievement. This study aims to determine the relationship between mathematics learning based on numeracy literacy and student achievement. This research is a quantitative research using a survey method with a correlational approach. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling on all seventh grade students of SMP Miftahus Sa'adah Tarum. Data collection methods used in this study are tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The researcher uses the analysis prerequisite test, namely normality test, homogeneity test, linearity test and hypothesis testing, namely product moment correlation to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between mathematics learning based on numeracy literacy on the learning achievement of seventh grade students of SMP Miftahus Sa'adah Tarum, with r = 0.48 and tcount>ttable , namely 3.09 > 2.06.

Abstract

Education is a conscious effort to bring about the desired changes that can occur in the future. Educational equity and all supporting components should be accessible to every learning group, including children with special needs (ABK), to prevent disparities. In daily life, ABK requires special attention from those around them so that they can maximize their potential. The specificity of ABK can also make them vulnerable to various forms of crime, including sexual violence. This type of crime can be prevented through deep knowledge and understanding of self-defense against potential threats. In this regard, the ability to protect oneself from dangers, know as personal safety skill, is essential. This ability is also based on self-conception or understanding of self-concept for ABK. The method used in this service is mentoring to provide understanding and skills related to sexual violence for intellectually disabled ABK at the SLB Nur Husnina in Madiun City. The results of this service activity include an improvement in personal safety skills, specifically regarding protection against sexual violence.
