Abstract

Pengembangan Kawasan Agropolitan dalam Perspektif Perencanaan Pembangunan Partisipatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan memahami Pengembangan Kawasan Agropolitan dalam perspektif perencanaan pembangunan terutama berkaitan dengan akomodasi terhadap partisipasi masyarakat. Pengembangan Agropolitan merupakan bagian dari strategi percepatan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan upaya pemerataan pembangunan daerah. Adanya Masterplan Pengembangan Agropolitan 2007 didukung oleh dokumen RPJMD Kabupaten Malang 2010-2015 menjadi pedoman dalam implementasi program tersebut. Kesadaran akan pentingnya akomodasi terhadap keterlibatan masyarakat mulai dari proses penyusunan hingga implementasi mendorong kesadaran urgensi adanya perencanaan yang lebih bersifat partisipatif. Dalam penerapan model perencanaan partisipatif secara tidak langsung memerlukan kehati-hatian dalam mengidentifikasi perwakilan masyarakat. Jika wakil-wakil itu cukup representatif, maka implementasi perencanaan tidak hanya menghasilkan partisipasi semu, namun bisa membawa manfaat bagi masyarakat secara luas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk sintesis senyawa turunan furfural melalui reaksi kondensasi aldol (Claisen-Schmidt) dari bahan dasar furfural dengan 2-butanon. Reaksi kondensasi dilakukan pada suhu ruang dengan variasi waktu reaksi 4, 8, dan 16 jam dengan katalis basa NaOH 10%. Furfural yang dipakai adalah furfural standar dan furfural hasil isolasi dari tongkol jagung dengan kemurnian 96%. Reaksi kondensasi menggunakan furfural standar selama 4, 8, dan 16 jam menghasilkan produk sebesar 15,42%, 37,92%, dan 55% (b/b). Reaksi yang sama menggunakan furfural hasil isolasi menghasilkan produk sebesar 64%, 85%, 97% (b/b). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa waktu reaksi berpengaruh terhadap persentase produk yang dihasilkan. Bertambahnya waktu reaksi dari 4 jam ke 16 jam meningkatkan rendemen produk sampai 97%. Senyawa turunan furfural yang dapat diidentifikasi dari analisis menggunkan UV-Vis, IR, dan 1H-NMR adalah 5-furanil-4-penten-2-on dan 5-furanil-3-metil-3-buten-2-on.   Kata kunci: 2-butanon, Claisen-Schmidt, furfural, furanilketon, waktu reaksi.

Abstract

Pati ketela pohon (Manihot esculenta) merupakan polisakarida yang tersusun atas amilosa dan amilopektin. Paper ini melaporkan hasil isolasi pati dari ketela pohon lokal asal Malang, sekaligus modifikasinya dengan cara esterifikasi menggunakan asam asetat yang dibantu dengan ultrasonikasi. Analisis produk dilakukan dengan metode spektrofotometri infra merah. Hasil isolasi pati berkisar antara 10,9-25,3% dengan kadar air antara 5,60-12,8%. Sedangkan pati yang termodifikasi adalah ester pati asetat. Produk ester pati asetat yang diperoleh memiliki nilai DS (derajad substitusi) sebesar 0,549.   Kata kunci: ketela pohon, pati, reaksi esterifikasi, nilai DS

Abstract

A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the turpuntine oils was undertaken by means of gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy. Two types of sample was analyzed, one was bought from local market in Malang and a sample originally from local producer. Analysis was conducted directly from raw sample after drying over magnesium sulfate anhydrate and also after purification under fractional distillation. It was found that at least 13 compounds was detected contains of turpuntine oil sample from local producer and 10 compounds compose of sample from local market in Malang. α-Pinene as the main compound composes 64.63% from the first sample meanwhile sample from local market indicate in 55.75%. Moreover, fractional distillation under reduced pressure could provide α-pinene in 88.2% purity and 11.8% of δ-carene as the minor compound, respectively.   Keywords:  turpentine oil, α-pinene, GC-MS, essential oil

Abstract

Abstract.    Phytochemistry and biological    activity investigation  of medical  plants was an important step in exploring of their potency. The objectives  of this research were to determine the antioxidant activity of the extract and purified isolate of C. alata  leave and also,  to  elucidate of  the molecular structure of  the  responsible molecule. The methods used were extraction,  isolation and purification by means of chromatography, DPPH radical scavenging and spectroscopy. Result of the research provided antioxidant activity was (ED5o)   28.50±1.86 µg/mL for  the extract and 9.99±0.28  µM  for  the  purified  isolate.  Elucidation toward  the  purified  isolate indicated   kaemferol   structure   as   the   most   active   antioxidant   compound. Abstract

 Cassava starch (Manihot esculenta) is polysaccharide compound which comprises of amylose and amylopectin. This paper demonstrated the characterization result of cassava peel waste modified by esterification with acetic acid and oleic acid. The products were analyzed by FT-IR, PSA, SEM, and XRD. FT-IR results represented carbonyl compound. DS value of acetic acid and oleic acid modification is 0.63 and 0.56, respectively. Characterization by PSA found the distribution frequency was 358.19 mm. SEM analysis was obtained rigid structure. From XRD result, the crystallinity of modified flour better than without modification.

Abstract

Indonesia is the second biggest producer of natural vanillin. Traditionally it was isolated from the bean of vanilla (Vanilla planifolia Andrews). This paper reports on applying vanillin as starting material for synthesizing a biologically important chemical structure 3,4-dihydropyrimidinone. The reaction was undertaken in one step following multi component reaction (MCR). Products determination was undergone using FTIR and UV-Vis spectrophotometry, and also liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LCMS). After purification under flash column chromatography in ethyl acetate-hexane, it was found a white solid of 4-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-6-methyl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one in 67% yield with a few amount of an unreacted vanillin.

Abstract

Composite built by patchouli biochar and metal oxide, Cr2O3, is a potential material for remediation of contaminated wasterwater. Oxidation of biochar using acid or salt oxidators can improve its surface polar functional groups. This treatment may be able to increase impregnation of  metal cation (as salt) before calcination to form its oxide. In this research, 3 types of oxidators were used to oxidize the biochar before impregnation with purpose to study its influence toward physichochemistry and adsorption performance of the composite. Preparation of the composite included 3 steps, including preparation of biochar by pyrolisis of patchouli biomass using ZnCl2 activator at 450 oC, oxidation of the biochar using 3 different oxidators (H2SO4-HNO3, H3PO4-HNO3, H2O2–HNO3) at 60 oC,  impregnation of the oxidized biochar using CrCl3 followed by calcination process to form biochar–Cr2O3 composite at 600 oC. Characterization using X-ray diffraction indicated that the composite containes the Cr2O3 structure.  FTIR spectrophotometry characterization indicates the different content of C=O, C-O, and –OH on the composite surface. SEM images shows irregular micro ball shapes. EDX characterization indicates the different Cr content in the composite with same sequence with FTIR absorbances of  both C-O and –OH. Adsorption of paracetamol  indicates effect of Cr2O3 showing the same sequence of both.
