Abstract

A research about effect of soil managment and organic mulch application on soil physical properties of psamment and conr production was conducted in Korong Muaro, Nagari Sunur Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, as well as in soil laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, Andalas University Padang.  This research was done from April – October 2009.  The objective of the research was to identify interaction effect between soil cultivation and organic mulch application on chemical properties of psamment and production of sweet corn.  This research was designed in two factors: 3 x 4 with three replications. The first factor was soil cultivation which consisted of 3 levels (Po = No-till, P1 = Minimum tillage, P2 = Conventional till).  The second factor was organic mulch application, which consisted of four levels: Z = without mulch addition, T = Titonia for 8 ton DW/ha, K = Chromolaena for 8 ton DW/ha, J = straw 8 ton DW/ha. The result showed that soil cultivation combined with rice straw mulch application could increase N, P, K elements in soil.  Soil N content increased from 0,17 % to  0,28 %, avail-P from 52,57 ppm to 88,60 ppm, and K-exch from 0,64 me/100g to 2,35 me/100g, however, minimum tillage gave the highest yield which was 7,68 ton weight  of corn seeds + the stalk /hektar, and rice straw mulch showed the highest among the organic mulch applied, which was 8,85 ton/ha.Keywords: Soil cultivation, organic mulch, psamment, sweet corn

Abstract

Limapuluh Kota Regency and Payakumbuh City, West Sumatra Province are the centers for the cultivation of Payakumbuh tobacco plants. The average Payakumbuh tobacco production is still low, namely 0.701 tonnes/ha. One of the causes of low productivity is disease caused by the cracker virus. This research aims to see the effect of naturally infected cracker virus infection on the growth and production of tobacco plants. This research is an observational study, carried out from June to September 2023, at the Payakumbuh State Agricultural Polytechnic experimental garden. The data obtained were processed using the T test at the 5%, level using the Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) Version 23 software. From observation and data processing it was found that cracker virus infection caused low levels of chlorophyll A, high levels of chlorophyll B and total leaf chlorophyll levels. plant, leaf length, petiole length, leaf length, leaf width, leaf fresh weight, and root fresh weight, but had no effect on the number of leaves and leaf thickness compared to uninfected plants. From this it can be concluded that cracker virus infection can reduce the growth and yield of Payakumbuh tobacco.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kenagarian Koto Tuo Kecamatan Harau. Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi mitra saat ini adalah keterbatasan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai teknologi termasuk digitalisasi dalam kegiatan pemasaran. Alasan inilah yang mendorong pelaksanaan program pengabdian masyarakat untuk memberikan pendidikan kepada usaha yang dijalankan masyarakat terutama Ibu PKK dan Pemuda di Kanagarian Koto Tuo tentang optimalisasi digital marketing dalam pemasaran produk. Metode kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan, sebelum diberikan pelatihan, peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk mengisi beberapa pertanyaan terkait pengetahuan awal mengenai digital marketing. Kemudian, diarahkan untuk menggunakan keterampilan yang diperoleh dari pelatihan untuk menggunakan platform digital dalam strategi pemasaran. Kegiatan pengabdian diawali dengan demonstrasi salah satu produk yang dapat dipasarkan secara digital. Dengan pemberian materi tersebut, diharapkan peserta pelatihan dapat lebih memahami informasi yang disampaikan oleh tim pengabdian. Hasil dari kuesioner yang diisi setelah pelatihan memberikan informasi berharga mengenai kemajuan peserta dalam menjalani pelatihan dan seberapa besar peningkatan keterampilan yang mereka capai. Berdasarkan kegiatan pelatihan yang telah dilakukan di Kenagarian Koto Tuo melalui Pemanfaatan Digital Marketing dalam Pemasaran Produk dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta setelah dilakukannya pelatihan terkait kegiatan pemanfaatan digital marketing ini.
