Abstract

ABSTRACTBloodstain is an evidence that often found in criminal case. Bloodstain which is found on a crime scene often already contaminated, there might be an effort to clean up the bloodstain on the floor by using floor cleaner agents. The exposure of cleaning agents potentially damaging membrane cell and denature protein inside the blood, so at the time when forensic examination of bloodstain has been done it is possible to generate different interpretations. This research is a descriptive research with experimental laboratory design to find out the description of haemoglobin crystal on bloodstain exposed by some non carbolic domestic floor cleaner agent using Teichmann test and Takayama test. This research shows that haemoglobin crystal can be found on eighty slide of bloodstain which has been flowed and swabbed by non carbolic domestic floor cleaner agents. The conclusion of this research is no effect of the exposure by non carbolic domestic floor cleaner agent against haemoglobin crystal description on the Teichmann and Takayama test.Keywords : bloodstain, non carbolic domestic floor cleaner agent, Teichmann test, Takayama test

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe biologic sample like bloodstains are precious physical evidence thatcan be found at any crime scene. Bloodstains that be found can indicate struggleor murderer case and identification of bloodstains found at criminal scene cangive information about actual criminal acts. The criminals often try to remove orcamouflage bloodstains by using cleaning agents like cream detergent that makesbloodstains contamined with detergent surfactant and may be affect the chemicalbloodstains identification using Teichmann and Takayama test. The purposes ofthis experiment are to know the description of hemoglobin crystal at contaminedbloodstain with some cream detergents using Teichmann and Takayama test. Thisexperiment is the experimental description. This experiment has done inBiochemical Laboratory Medical Faculty of Riau University. There’re 38 slidesthat made in this experiment with twice experiment (duplo). The bloodstain slideswere washed using cream detergent A, B, C, D, E, and F once until three times.The result of this experiment was positive in all bloodstain slide that washed bycream detergent when it tested with Teichmann and Takayama test.Keywords: bloodstain, hemoglobin crystal, cream detergent, Teichmann andTakayama.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBloodstain were could be found on a lot of form of violence. Bloodstain atthe crime scene often cleaned by the offender to cover the crime. One of thecleaning agents that might be used by the offender is liquid detergent. Thebloodstain that has been contaminated by liquid detergent could give a differentrepresentation on the forensic bloodstain examination. This study was conductedto determine the formation of hemoglobin crystal on contaminated bloodstain bysome liquid detergents using Teichmann and Takayama test. Each driedbloodstains over the slides were flowed by liquid detergent solutions, thenexamined if the hemoglobin cystal were formed or not. In this study, there were atotal of 28 slides were studied and obtained positive results in all slides (100%)through Teichmann or Takayama test. The results of this study showed thathemoglobin crystals can still be found in the bloodstain that had beencontaminated by liquid detergent through Teichmann and Takayama test.Therefore, the conclusion of this study is liquid detergents that used can not affectthe formation of hemoglobin crystal using Teichmann and Takayama tests..Kata kunci: bloodstain, hemoglobin crystal, liquid detergent, Teichmann,Takayama

Abstract

ABSTRACTBloodstains are evidence which might be found in the scene of crime cases. However, the bloodstains are not always found intact as a result of criminal’s attempt to destroy the evidence by using cleaning agent for example detergent. The bloodstains which have been contaminated by detergent might give a different forensic examination result. This study has an aim to determine the formation of hemoglobin crystal on contaminated bloodstain using Teichmann test and Takayama test. In this study, there were five powder detergent solutions flowed onto bloodstained slides for each tests. The result shows that all 11 slides (100%) still have positive result which means the hemoglobin crystal still can be found in the contaminated bloodstain using Teichmann test and Takayama test. The conclusion of this study is the detergent powder for washing machine that used might not affect the formation of hemoglobin crystal using Teichmann test and Takayama test..Kata kunci: Bloodstain, detergent powder, hemoglobin crystals, Teichmann test, Takayama test.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn the criminals like murder, torture, and rape usually found bloodstains, blood, sperm, saliva, and hair at the criminals scene. In the some forensic examination of blood are confirmatory test (Teichmann test and Takayama test) that can confirm if suspected object were blood. The way in which often wipe out blood using solid antiseptic bath soap. The purpose of this research was to know description of hemoglobin crystal on bloodstains that exposed by solid antiseptic bath soap with Teichmann test and Takayama test. The design of this research was experimental. Samples of this research were 26 bloodstains slides (2 control slides and 24 slides that have been exposed with 6 kind of solid antiseptic bath soap). The showed 24 bloodstains slides (100%) had positive result with Teichmann test and Takayama test, and there were no changes of crystal’s shape. It could be conclude that hemoglobin crystals still could be found in bloodstains that exposed by solid antiseptic bath soap with Teichmann test and Takayama test.Keywords: Hemoglobin crystals, Bloodstains, Solid antiseptic bath soap, Teichmann test, Takayama test

Abstract

Severe malaria is a disease caused by Plasmodium falciparum as the main cause of death in malaria. As autopsy examinations on malaria are rare in Indonesia, we report a nineteen-year-old male from Dumai, Indonesia, who died of severe malaria on November 10th 2018, at Dumai Regional General Hospital of Riau Province. The diagnosis was concluded from autopsy, histopathology and toxicology. This case report aimed to explain autopsy findings in severe malaria. As the result of external examination, we found some bruises on the right earlobe, lip mucosa and lower leg; excoriations on the neck, both arms and right lower leg; excoriations on the right lower leg and blood infiltration in the connective tissue on the right intercostal space. The autopsy and histopathology examination showed signs of congestion and hemozoin pigment in the brain, small intestine, liver, lung, heart, kidney, stomach and spleen. On toxicology examination, there was no narcotic substance found. Based on autopsy findings, histopathology and toxicological findings, we conclude that the cause of death, in this case, was severe malaria. Blunt violence to the ears, lips, neck, arms, and legs did not significantly cause death.

Abstract

Blunt trauma without visible skin damage is a common type of violence encountered in physical assault cases. Statistically, at RS Bhayangkara Pekanbaru, 341 cases of blunt trauma without skin damage were reported out of a total of 6,255 assault cases from 2015 to 2020. These cases present a challenge for doctors in finding physical evidence of trauma to document in medicolegal reports (Visum et Repertum). This study aims to analyze the histopathological differences, including erythrocyte extravasation, neutrophil and monocyte cell infiltration, and tissue edema, between groups subjected to blunt trauma without skin damage and a control group. Using a post-test-only group design, this study involved 30 Rattus norvegicus samples divided into three groups: control, intervention group 1, and intervention group 2. The intervention involved a 324-gram load dropped from a height of 45 cm onto the surface of the rats' skin. Histopathological examination revealed no significant differences in erythrocyte extravasation, neutrophil infiltration, or monocyte infiltration, while a significant difference was observed in tissue edema levels.

Abstract

Pneumonia merupakan penyakit infeksi paru dengan tingkat morbiditas dan mortalitas yang tinggi. Pneumonia dapat menyebabkan kegagalan pernapasan yang berujung pada kematian mendadak jika tidak terdeteksi dan ditatalaksana dengan tepat. Seorang anak laki-laki berusia 14 tahun ditemukan meninggal dunia di kamar tidurnya dengan dugaan awal kematian yang disebabkan karena cedera akibat perundungan. Pemeriksaan luar menunjukkan pembengkakan jaringan lunak dan fraktur tipis pada os ulna proksimal dekstra. Hasil autopsi mengungkap adanya cairan eksudatif di rongga pleura serta infiltrasi sel inflamasi pada jaringan paru. Analisis histopatologi dan laboratorium mendukung diagnosis pneumonia bakterialis sebagai penyebab utama kematian, serta tidak ditemukan cedera fatal yang berkontribusi langsung terhadap kematian. Kasus ini menegaskan pentingnya autopsi dalam menentukan penyebab pasti kematian, terutama pada kasus kematian mendadak tanpa riwayat medis yang jelas. Pemeriksaan forensik secara menyeluruh sangat diperlukan untuk menghindari kesalahan interpretasi yang berimplikasi pada aspek medis dan hukum.
