Abstract

Abstract Soil transmitted helminthiasis still remains problem among tropic and subtropics developing countries worldwide. Contribute to more than a billion morbidities of people from children to adults. Children are the most affected population by this infection. This study aims to evaluate mass drug anthelminthic therapy of albendazole in school and preschool children. A cross sectional study recruited preschool and school-age children as subject of this research. During the period of May-July 2020, fecal samples were collected one month after albendazole treatment and examined by Kato kats technique. Total 130 samples were examined, and it was found that only 1 (0.007%) was positive for Trichuris trichiura. Accordingly, we can conclude that Albendazole is effective for treating Soil transmitted helminthiasis in preschool and school-age children. Keyword: anthelminthic, albendazole, school, children

Abstract

Bali is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Indonesia. As one of the islands in a tropical country, Bali has its own risk of disease transmission. The increasing number and pattern of international travelers can affect morbidity and mortality. Research on disease problems among international travelers in travel destination countries is rarely reported. This study examines health problems concerning foreign tourists visiting hospitals in Bali. This cross-sectional study used total sampling on all medical records of international travelers visiting an international hospital in Bali. A total of 999 medical records were analyzed in this study. The mean age of the patients was 35.55 years. Most patients were female (53.9%) and used travel insurance (55.3%). Most health problems are complaints in the gastrointestinal system (22.3%). The primary health problem is the gastrointestinal system. Most patients use insurance to finance their health. Abstract

Utilization of tourism clinics, particularly for pre-travel consultations, remains low among domestic tourists. The current study aims to examine the relationship between knowledge level and attitude towards the utilization of tourism clinics for pre-travel consultations in Bali Province. The study sample consisted of 106 domestic tourists who were present in Bali during the period of May-September 2022. Consecutive sampling was used, and the Chi-Square Test was executed for data analysis with the aid of the SPSS version 25.0 program. The research findings indicate that the majority of domestic tourists (50%) originated from Malang. Additionally, the study revealed that women accounted for a greater proportion (62.3%) of domestic tourists. The research results also showed that 60 tourists had a good level of knowledge and utilized the tourism clinic, while 59 tourists had an agreeable attitude towards the utilization of the tourism clinic. The results of the study demonstrate a significant relationship between knowledge level (p<0.001) and attitude (p<0.001) towards the use of tourism clinics for pre-travel consultations in Bali Province. Overall, tourists have a good level of knowledge and agreeable attitude towards the utilization of tourism clinics, indicating a positive trend towards the promotion of tourism clinics for pre-travel consultations.

Abstract

Wellness tourism is a tourist activity that has become popular in society nowadays as an alternative to carrying out non-pharmacological therapy to achieve body balance, mind, and spirit. Bali is a popular destination for wellness activities such as SPAs, yoga, and meditation. This research aims to analyze the pull and push factors influencing tourists’ choice of wellness tourism in Bali. This cross-sectional descriptive research uses yogists who come to Bali Eling Spirit as samples. The target population was all yogis in Bali Eling Spirit Yoga Centre. The sample was selected by consecutive sampling; all yogists were recruited as samples and met inclusion criteria. This research used a questionnaire method to collect data. The measuring indicators in this questionnaire use a Likert scale. This study adopted a questionnaire that existed in previous research. The location of this research was Gianyar Regency, namely Bali Eling Spirit. The results show that most samples were women who chose yogas as wellness tourism, and push and pull factors were in high classification. Yoga is the type of wellness that respondents most frequently practice. Respondents chose Yoga in Bali Eling Spirit because of its simple technique and cheap price. Pull and push factors for tourists choosing wellness tourism in Bali Eling Spirit receive high scores for healing, Bali's natural beauty, and various types of wellness. Further research must be conducted to apply this pull and push factor in other wellness types.

Abstract

Soil transmitted helminth (STH) infections is kind of helminth infection which transmitted by contact with warm and moist soil especially affect the farmer. The purpose of this study was to investigate the profile of STH infection and the intensity of STH infection among farmers in Gelgel Village, Klungkung, Bali. The cross sectional study was conducted in Gelgel Village, Klungkung District, Bali and obtained stool and quitionaires from farmers by informed consent. Kato-Katz technique was used to diagnose the STH infection and to determine the intensity of infection based on the number of eggs per gram feces (EPG). Total 162 stool samples were collected from farmers aged 25-80 years, 22 farmers was positive of STH infection and 140 farmers was negative of STH infection. The result showed prevalence of STH infection was 13,5%, single infection of A. lumbricoides was 1.85%, 9.26% of T. trichiura single infection, and 0.61% of Hookworm single infection. The mixed infection was detected that were 1.23% of A. lumbricoides with T. trichiura, and 0.61% of A. lumbricoides with Hookworm. STH infection is the health problem among farmer. The farmer must be admitted antihelminthic drugs for preventing and eleminating STH infection.

Abstract

Sejak terjadinya pandemi Corona Virus Disease 19 di Indonesia, terjadi perubahan peraturan pembukaan tempat umum utamanya pasar. Aturan ini diterapkan untuk megurangi kontak pembeli dengan pedagang untuk memutus rantai penularan Covid-19 di pasar akibatnya adalah penurunan pendapatan pedagang. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah menyasar Pasar Yadnya sebagai sasaran pengabdian PKM penerapan protokol kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey, observasi, melakukan pemetaan, menentukan dan menetapkan kelompok pedagang pasar Yadnya yang menjadi peserta. Untuk menambah kelengkapan data, kami melakukan wawancara dengan Kepala pasar yang mengetahui bagaimana aktivitas pedagang dan pembeli di pasar tersebut. Pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi pembuatan sekat transparan yang akan membatasi transmisi droplet pembeli dan penjual, pengaturan jarak dengan memasang tanda silang pada tempat-tempat tertentu, penyediaan wastafel dan air untuk cuci tangan, penerapan aturan skrining dengan termogun di depan pasar, pembagian masker standar yang disarankan oleh WHO, penyuluhan dan pelatihan cara cuci tangan 6 langkah dengan teknik tanpa sentuh. Kesimpulan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam melaksanakan protokol kesehatan.

Abstract

Anak usia sekolah adalah salah satu penderita penyakit kecacingan yang prevalensi dan insidensinya tinggi. Guru adalah orang tua kedua di sekolah yang berperan penting dalam pencegahan kecacingan dan mendidik anak mulai dari hal yang paling dasar. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberdayakan guru tk dan sekolah dasar erlangga denpasar dalam pemberian obat cacing dan pencegahan kecacingan pada siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan penyuluhan, pretest dan post test. Hasil pengabdian ini sebagian besar (100%) guru sudah mengetahui kecacingan dan cara pemberian obat cacing setelah dilakukan pelatihan dan penyuluhan. Terkait media pembelajaran sudah dilakukan variasi media pembelajaran. Sebagai kesimpulan, terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan guru dalam mencegah kecacingan dan keterampilan guru dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran.

Abstract

The partners are 35 jumantik cadres from Guwang Village who are tasked with monitoring larvae and eradicating mosquito nests, especially those that act as vectors for dengue hemorrhagic fever. This service activity aims to increase the skills and knowledge of jumantik cadres in using the natural ingredient yellow cempaka extract as anti-mosquito fogging. The methods used in this service are counseling, training and demonstration. The results of this service are measured through pre-test and post-test. The conclusion is an increase in knowledge and skills of jumantik cadres in using natural fogging materials as mosquito repellent.

Abstract

Sejak pandemi COVID-19 menghantam industri pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif di Indonesia. Hal ini pun berdampak pada masyarakat yang bekerja di sektor pariwisata salah satunya adalah pasar seni Guwang, menyebabkan penurunan jumlah pendapatan pedagang di pasar seni guwang. Kami melakukan pengabdian bagi kelompok pedagang pasar seni guwang dengan memanfaatkan inovasi teknologi yang berperan penting dalam mendukung tren pariwisata yang bergeser di tengah pandemi, salah satunya dengan pemasaran atau marketplace secara online. Kami juga melatih para pedagang menggunakan aplikasi peduli lindungi untuk mewujudkan wisata sehat sehingga diharapkan dapat menarik minat para wisatawan untuk berbelanja. Hasil pengabdian didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dalam mewujudkan wisata sehat dan peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam menggunakan media online serta ecomerce dalam meningkatkan jumlah penjualan barang dagangan.
