Abstract

Pulau Penata Kecil merupakan salah satu pulau kecil yang terdapat di Kecamatan Sungai Raya Kepulauan Kabupaten Bengkayang, Pulau ini memiliki luas ±60,7Ha dan di huni oleh penduduk musiman sebanyak ±250 jiwa. Pulau Penata Kecil memiliki potensi perikanan pelagis yang cukup tinggi, kondisi yang demikian mengundang masyarakat nelayan untuk memanfaatkan sumberdaya tersebut, Salah satu alat tangkap yang digunakan nelayan untuk menangkap ikan pelagis kecil adalah bagan tancap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis, indeks keanekaragaman dan indeks dominansi ikan hasil tangkapan bagan tancap di Pulau Penata Kecil Kecamatan Sungai Raya Kepulauan Kabupaten Bengkayang. Metode yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan menggunakan 6 buah bagan tancap, pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan waktu hauling berbeda yaitu sebelum tengah malam dan sesudah tengah malam berdasarkan jarak bagan tancap dari bibir pantai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh 16 spesies yang dikelompokan menjadi 14 famili, dan jenis ikan terbanyak di dominasi oleh familia Carangidae sebanyak 3 spesies dan ikan yang sering tertangkap selama penelitian adalah teri (Stelephorus indicus), ikan selar kuning (Selaroides leptolepis), dan ikan petek (Gazza dentex). Indeks keanekaragaman stasiun 1-3 berturut-turut 0,93, 0,92, 0,92 dan secara keseluruhan stasiun di peroleh nilai yaitu 0,87 yang dikategorikan tinggi dan indeks dominansi pada stasiun 1-3 berturut-turut 0,06, 0,07, 0,07 dan secara keseluruhan stasiun diperoleh nilai yaitu 0,12 yang dikategorikan rendah atau tidak ada jenis yang mendominasi. Abstract

Sungai Raya Kepulauan Sub-district is a coastal area located on the north coast of West Kalimantan bordered by the South China Sea and Natuna Sea. This sub-district has three Fishing Port namely, TPI Sungai Keran, TPI Sungai Raya, and TPI Karimunting. This research aims to identify the diversity index, uniformity index, dominance index, and composition of fishermen catches in TPI Sungai Raya Kepulauan, Bengkayang District. It used census method for the determination of collectors. The research was conducted in October - January 2020. The research found that the catches in TPI Sungai Raya Kepulauan covered of 34 fish species consisting of 17 families, namely Aridae, Balistidae, Caesionidae, Clupeidae, Dasyatidae, Gymnuridae, Haemulidae, Lethridae, Lethridae , Lutjanidae, Mullidae, Nemipteridae, Polynemidae, Rachycentridae, Scombridae, Serranidae, and Sphyraenidae with a total of 4991 fishes. The composition of fish species in the three stations was the highest, namely mackerel fish (Rastrelliger kanagurta) 10.82%, kerisi fish (Nemipterus furcocus) 9.84% and geronggong fish (Megalasfis cordyla) 8.76%.The diversity index (H"™) covered moderate to high categories with a value of 2.947 "“ 3.079, while the uniformity index value ranges from 0.850 "“0.886 in the high category. The last, the dominance index (C) value ranges from 0.059 "“ 0.069 in the low category.

Abstract

Lake Sayok has been utilized by the community for fishing. Its close location to oil palm plantations affects the quality of the waters. This study aims to identify the fish community structure in Lake Sayok, Telabang Hilir Hamlet, Subah Village, Tayan Hilir Sub-district, Sanggau District including Relative Abundance (KR%), Species Diversity (H'), Domination (C), and Uniformity (E), as well as supporting physical, chemical and biological parameters in aquatic environments. The research used a purposive sampling method in which the determination of station points was divided into 4 points to represent the area of the lake. The result showed that the number of fish species reached 985 species individuals consisting of 9 families and 20 species. The highest relative abundance value was Kumpang fish (Belontia hasselti) with a value of 12.18% and the lowest abundance was Lais species (Belodontichthys dinema) with a value of 0.91%. The Diversity Index value was 2.70 included in the medium category. The Dominance Index value was 0.08 included in the low category. The Uniformity Index value reaches 0.90 indicating the high uniformity of the type at the station with even distribution or the number of individuals of each species is relatively the same.

Abstract

ABSTRACTResearch on the population structure and morphometric characteristics of mussel (Corbicula javanica) in the rice field irrigation of Pak Bulu Village, Anjongan Sub-district, Mempawah District was conducted from March to May 2020. This research aims to determine the population structure including density, distribution, and morphometric characters of mussels in the rice field irrigation of Pak Bulu Village, Anjongan Sub-district, Mempawah District. It used a purposive random sampling method in which the research location of selection stations based on differences in the environmental setting. The location of divided into three areas, namely are station I (located near the secondaring forest), area II (closed to the dam and residential areas), and area III (located around the dam). Each station consists of 2 transects with a length of 200 m and within the transect there are 15 quadrate meansuring 1x1 m. Based on the result of the research, the average population density between areas is 43.35 ind/m2 and the range is between 8.61 - 81.85 ind/m2. The distribution of mussels is categorized as clumped. Meanwhile, the morphometric characteristics of mussels of shell length (PC), shell height (TC), shell thickness (TBL), and total weight (BT) show varied sizes between areas. The growth pattern of mussel shells in area I shows a negative allometric growth pattern. Meanwhile, area II and area III show isometric and allometric positive respectively. Abstract

Serantangan lake has an area of ± 258 Ha, the condition of this lake is horrible because there had been from unlicensed gold mining activities in the area, causing many changes ranging from the color of the waters, depth to the number of fish caught. This study was conducted to determine the composition, uniformity, and diversity of fish and plankton species as well as the dominant fish species in Serantangan Lake. This research was conducted for 3 months at Lake Serantang using a purposive sampling method, namely by going directly to the waters of Serantangan Lake to install fishing gear (1.5-inch trawlers, traps and scoops) from station 1 to station 5. Based on the results of the study fish caught during the study were included in 12 species and 7 families. Diversity index is 2,74; the uniformity index value is 0.96; the dominance index value is 0.07.

Abstract

This research focuses on the bioecology of Asian Redtail Catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) in the downstream of the Kapuas River, Radak Village, Terentang Sub-district, Kubu Raya District. It was conducted from June to September 2020. It aims to identify the relationship between biological aspects including distribution and food habits with the habitats of catfish in the downstream of Kapuas River. It used a purposive random sampling method by selecting the research location based on differences in the environmental setting. The research area was divided into three stations consisting of Station I, which is far from residential areas and bordering secondary forest. Station II is the meeting point of Kapuas River and the Creek of Radak River. Then, station III is close to residential areas. The distribution of catfish could be found in all three stations at a certain time with the highest abundance at station II. The food habit of catfish was considered carnivorous with a length of RGL <1 with the main food of shrimps with an IP percentage of 41.55%, followed by fish and insects as complementary foods with an IP percentage of 27.45% and 19.6% respectively. The ISC value of catfish ranged from 0.8-1.9%. The water condition in the downstream of the Kapuas River is still balanced for the life of catfish.
