Abstract

Stingray is an important fisheries commodity in North Kayong. Continuous stingrays catching results in the extinction of several stingray species. This study was conducted to determine the species composition, index of species diversity, dominance, uniformity, abundance and conservation status of rays at Sukadana Fishing port, North Kayong Regency. The method used in this study was a descriptive survey. The results of the study found 291 individual stingrays consisting of 14 species and 2 families. The results showed that the highest relative abundance is the Telatrygon zugei species with a value of 0.213 and the lowest abundance of stingrays are the Neotrygon kuhlii species with a value of 0.007, the index of stingray diversity (H) 2,371 classified as moderate, the uniformity index (E) 0.898 classified as high, the dominance index (C) 0.003 classified as low. Based on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, there are 6 species of stingrays are included in the category of Vulnerable (VU), 4 species are in the category of Near Threatened (NT), 2 species are in the category of Not Evaluated (NE), and 2 species are in the category of Data Deficient (DD).

Abstract

Samudra Indah Beach is one of the developing tourism areas. The development of marine tourism areas has to balance the economic needs and the effective use of resources. This study aims to analyze the suitability level of Samudra Indah Beach as a beach tourism object based on some parameters of the suitability of the tourist area and to analyze its carrying capacity. This study is descriptive using the Index of Tourism Suitability and Carrying Capacity which results in the values of suitability and carriying capacity of the tourism area. The parameters observed include depth, beach type, base substrate type, beach width, beach slope, current velocity, water brightness, land cover, hazardous biota, and freshwater availability calculating the maximum number of visitors accommodated in the area at a certain time without causing disturbance to nature and humans. The results showed that the Samudra Indah Beach area was included in the category of highly appropriate (S1) particularly for beach recreation and swimming. This beach can accommodate around 8,333 visitors/day.

Abstract

Simpakolak fish (Puntius anchisporus) is one of the potential ornamental fish that is not widely known by the public. The development of potential fishery commodities requires a study of fish bioecology one of which includes growth patterns and habitat conditions. This research was conducted in March - June 2020 in Empurut River, Entikong Subdistrict, Sanggau Regency. The total fish caught was 100 fish, consisting of 57 males and 43 females. The growth pattern of simpakolak fish is allometric negative where the value of b = 1.302553185 in male simpakolak fish and value of b = 1.152323795 in female simpakolak fish. (R2) value 0,403 for male and (R2) value 0,531 for female. The results of the analysis of water quality analysis based on physics-chemical parameters indicated that the waters of the Empurut River are in good condition for simpakolak fish habitat. However based on biological parameters, the plankton abundance and diversity are relatively low.Keywords: Puntius anchisporus, Bioecology, growth patterns, habitat conditions.

Abstract

Pulau Pedalaman Mempawah Regency is a potential public water area in the form of small lakes and protected forests. Has an important role in the life of microorganisms in waters, but is vulnerable to environmental changes and pollution caused by human activities. This study aims to determine the community structure and saprobity index as well as to determine the condition of the waters based on periphyton in the waters of the Inland Island Region of Mempawah Regency. Sampling and water quality measurements were carried out for 3 months, from September to November 2021 at five research stations. The results showed that 44 genera were identified as belonging to 4 classes, namely Bacillaiophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta and Euglenophyta. The highest relative abundance of periphyton was Bacillariophyta (84.70%). Followed by Chlorophyta (14.90%), Cyanophyta (0.17%) and Euglenophyta (0.22%). Overall diversity indices from all sampling locations showed high diversity or tended to have fairly stable waters. The saprobity index value was in the light to very light pollution level which was in the Meso/Oligosaprobic and Oligo/mesosaprobic phases.

Abstract

Kesegaran ikan yang baru saja mati berada dalam tingkat yang maksimum sehingga hanya dapat dipertahankan melalui prinsip penanganan yang baik (CPIB). Jurusan Agribisnis Perikanan SMKN 1 Sungai Raya Kabupaten Kubu Raya membuka tiga konsentrasi yaitu pembenihan ikan, pembesaran ikan dan budidaya ikan hias. Cara mendapatkan hasil benih ikan yang berkualitas dan ikan konsumsi yang segar adalah bagian dari CPIB. Selain itu, salah satu profil lulusan adalah pengusaha di bidang perikanan. Potensi perikanan di Kalimantan Barat sangat besar sehingga perlu dioptimalkan hingga pemasaran ke luar daerah bahkan Negara. Salah satu syarat untuk ekspor adalah memahami dan sertifikasi CPIB. Tujuan PKM ini yaitu Mitra dapat menerapkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan CPIB selama pelatihan dalam mengaktualisasikan sebagai pembudidaya ikan, pengumpul dan pemasaran hasil perikanan. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan sebanyak 31 siswa kelas XII Jurusan Agribisnis Perikanan SKMN 1 Sungai Raya dengan memperhatikan protokoler kesehatan. Tahapan pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat terdiri dari orientasi dan sosialisasi kegiatan, pelatihan dan monitoring serta evaluasi kegiatan. Edukasi Cara Penanganan Ikan yang Baik (CPIB) secara rinci meliputi pengetahuan umum tentang CPIB pada pembudidayaan ikan, kapal ikan, pendaratan ikan, pengumpul dan pemasaran hasil perikanan. Siswa SMKN 1 Sungai Raya kelas XII mendapatkan keterampilan penanganan ikan yang baik dalam kegiatan penangkapan ikan, budidaya, pengumpul dan pemasaran hasil perikanan. Selain itu siswa tersebut menyusun rencana usaha budidaya ikan yang menerapkan CPIB.

Abstract

Udang air tawar Macrobranchium lanchesteri merupakan salah satu spesies udang yang ditemukan di Sungai Ulu Ngarak, Kabupaten Landak, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan panjang-berat dan faktor kondisi udang M. lanchesteri di perairan Sungai Ulu Ngarak. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan September-November 2021 pada tiga stasiun di Sungai Ulu Ngarak menggunakan metode survei. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 161 individu udang yang terdiri dari 61 individu udang jantan dan 100 individu udang betina. Panjang dan berat setiap sampel diukur dan diperoleh data rata-rata panjang M. lanchesteri (♂) adalah 45,62±5,21 mm dengan rata-rata berat 562,30±188,72 mg. sedangkan rata-rata panjang M. lanchesteri (♀) yang terukur adalah 51,31±4,75 mm dengan rata-rata berat individu adalah 845,60±245,28 mg. Secara keseluruhan rata-rata panjang dan berat M. lanchesteri yang terukur adalah 49,16±5,64 mm dan 738,26±263,80 mg. Hasil analisis regresi panjang-berat menunjukkan nilai slope (b) untuk M. lanchesteri (♂) dan M. lanchesteri (♀) masing-masing adalah 2,3 dan 1,7, sementara nilai b untuk keseluruhan invidu adalah 2,4. Nilai b yang didapatkan kurang dari 3 yang berarti pola pertumbuhan M. lanchesteri baik jantan, betina dan keselurahannya bersifat allometrik negatif. Selanjutnya, hasil perhitungan faktor kondisi (K) menunjukkan nilai K pada M. lanchesteri baik jantan, betina dan keseluruhan adalah 1 yang berarti udang berada dalam kondisi ideal rata-rata populasi
