Abstract

This study examines the relationship between government spending variables, Islamic commercial bank financing, and waqf, focusing on the inclusiveness of economic development, using a quantitative approach to explanatory research. A panel data regression analysis model is used to test the hypotheses. The results of the analysis partially explain that government spending and Islamic commercial bank financing have a significant positive effect on the inclusiveness of economic development. Meanwhile, the waqf variable does not affect the inclusiveness of economic development. This study uses Ibn Khaldun’s hikkamiyah theory to explain economic development. By improving the quality of institutions, such as the government and financial sector, and applying fair principles in conducting economic development in Indonesia, inclusive economic development becomes more realistic.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the significant influence of electronic word of mouth, influencer marketing, sales promotion and price on the purchasing decisions of generation Z Muslim consumers on the Umama Scarf hijab product. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The population in this study were generation Z Muslim consumers in Jember Regency who had made online purchases of the Umama Scarf hijab product twice. This study used multiple linear regression analysis methods. The results showed that the variables electronic word of mouth, influencer marketing, sales promotion and price had a significant effect on increasing purchasing decisions. This shows that generation Z pays attention to the intensity, content, and reviews of consumers who have purchased the Umama scarf hijab online. Purchasing decisions are influenced by the needs factor felt by generation Z in terms of decisions and how consumers experience information about the Umama Scarf hijab product from influencers. Abstract

G.C.C. countries use oil as a significant source of state revenue because the G.C.C. region is a collection of world oil-producing countries. However, since the world oil price slumped from 2005-2008, governments have changed course by imposing taxes on their citizens. The point of this study is to argue the G.C.C. countries that have changed their tax-free system in their economy into countries that apply taxes today. Then, the views of some Muslim scientists related to taxation are related to changes in tax policy in G.C.C. countries. The qualitative method is used in this paper with a critical approach and analysis of several kinds of literature and financial reports relating to changes in tax policy in the G.C.C. area. The results of this study explain that the G.C.C. countries compile a value-added tax of 5%, which is applied to several basic needs such as food, clothing, water, and electricity bills. Later, some Muslim scientists agreed on the existence of taxes for the common good, a source of revenue for public facilities and services.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the impact of operational, liquidity, and credit risks on financial performance (ROA) at national Islamic commercial banks from 2015 to 2021. The model includes control variables such as technological risk (E-Banking) and macroeconomic variables (BI rate and inflation). This study used seven national Islamic banking businesses as examples. This work employs the panel data regression technique to investigate a mixture of time series from 2015 to 2021. In this study, the independent variables are credit risk as measured by Non-Performing Finance (NPF), liquidity risk as measured by Finance to Deposit Ratio (FDR), operational risk as measured by Operations Expenses to Operations Income (BOPO), and performance bank finances as measured by Return on Assets (ROA). According to the study's findings, the variable credit risk (NPF), operational risk (BOPO), and technological risk (E-Banking) all significantly and negatively affect financial performance (ROA). Meanwhile, neither liquidity risk nor inflation has a significant positive impact on financial performance (ROA). Furthermore, the BI rate has a negative, but not statistically significant, impact on financial performance (ROA).

Abstract

The growth of investment instruments is not always in line with national economic growth. This phenomenon raises questions about how much real influence Islamic capital market instruments have on Indonesia's economic growth. This study aims to examine the influence of sharia mutual funds, sharia bonds (sukuk), and sharia stock on Indonesia's economic growth from 2011-2024. This study uses a quantitative approach with Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) methods, multiple linear regression. The data used is quarterly time series data, with the sharia mutual fund indicator represented by the Net Asset Value (NAB), sukuk by the total issuance of corporate sukuk, and sharia stocks by the market capitalization of the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). The results of the study show that, partially, sharia mutual funds and sharia stocks have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. However, Islamic bonds (sukuk) do not have a significant impact on economic growth. Keywords: Sharia Mutual Funds, Sharia Bonds, Sukuk, Sharia Stocks, Economic Growth

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Islamic financial literacy and religiosity on MSMEs’ decisions to apply for People’s Business Credit (KUR) financing in Banyuwangi Regency. Method - To achieve this purpose, the study uses a quantitative approach with a logistic regression analysis model to test the hypotheses. The number of respondents in this study was 100 MSME owners who had been running their businesses for at least 6 months and were located in Genteng District, Banyuwangi Regency. This study aims to determine the influence of Islamic financial literacy and religiosity on the decision to apply for a loan at Bank Syariah Indonesia's KUR program. Result - The findings of this research show that Islamic financial literacy has a positive effect on the decision to apply for KUR, and religiosity also has a significant positive effect on KUR application decisions among MSMEs in the area studied. Implication - The findings imply that improving Islamic financial literacy and strengthening sharia-based values can increase MSMEs’ willingness to access KUR financing. Therefore, Islamic banks and policymakers should prioritize financial education and value-based outreach to enhance MSME access to sustainable capital and support local economic development. Originality - This study is original in that it simultaneously examines Islamic financial literacy and religiosity as determinants of MSMEs’ decisions to apply for sharia-based KUR financing, using a logistic regression approach in a regional MSME context. Furthermore, there is a specific research gap, namely the limited empirical evidence that comprehensively analyzes how Islamic financial literacy and religiosity influence MSMEs' actual decisions to apply for Sharia-based KUR financing at the district level, particularly using a binary outcome-based dependent variable design (apply or not apply). Most previous studies have focused more on interests, perceptions, or preferences, rather than on quantitatively observed real-world decisions.
