Abstract

Road widening is a construction phase of Jakarta-Cikampek II elevated Toll Road construction project. Improving the effectiveness and road service capability influence the traffic activity. This study aimed to analyze alternative rigid pavement design and thickness based on the Road Pavement Design Manual (MDPJ) 2017 and American Association of State High-way and Transportation Officials Guide for Design of Pavement Structures (AASTHO) 1993. This research was conducted on March – May 2019. Based on the obtained data, a rigid pavement design alternative using the MDPJ 2017 method showed concrete plate thickness of 305 mm and using the AASHTO 1993 concrete plate thickness was 320 mm. In actual condition the concrete plate thickness was 300 mm.

Abstract

There are various road construction projects in Indonesia, but most of these projects still use conventional methods in evaluating road geometry. This study aims to evaluate the geometry of the road using UAV and analyze the accuracy and accuracy of photogrammetry in the evaluation of road geometry. This research took place at Dramaga's IPB Campus on Meranti street and was conducted from April to July 2019. From a series of processes that have been carried out it can produce accuracy of measuring 97,243% and 98,296% across the road for orthophoto results without and with coordinate correction and using GCP. For accuracy in this study obtained a value of 0.858 m so that it can be concluded that the data processing map is included in the class 3 horizontal accuracy. The horizontal alignment parameters analyzed in this study are bend angles, turn radius, and turn length, there are two curves analyzed. For the value of each parameter each turn successively for data without coordinate correction and elevation is 149 °; 90 °; 40.61 m; 53.75 m; 23.39 m; 90.71 m. The results of horizontal alignment analysis for data with coordinate correction are 150 °; 88 °; 30.81 m; 49.34 m; 21.39 m; 89.3 m. The vertical alignment analyzed in this study has two parameters, namely vertical curvature and slope. The value of the analysis results for the two parameters of the two points for results with correction and without correction of coordinates are 16.08%, 17.22%, 53 m, 51 m and 6.88%, 3.77%, 53 m, and 51 m .

Abstract

As the main bus station in Bogor, West Java, Baranangsiang bus station is currently located in the crowded city centre, near many offices, campuses and department stores. There is a plan of Bogor’s Dinas Perhubungan Komunikasi dan Informasi (Diskominfo) to relocate the bus station to the new location in the Pangeran Sogiri Street in Tanah Baru area, near the newly built toll road, the Bogor Outer Ring Road (BORR).This research is conducted to analyze the traffic performance impact of the relocation plan of the bus station to the BORR network and the Pangeran Sogiri Street. The traffic data is obtained from the field survey in the Baranangsiang bus station and the BORR network. Some other secondary data are obtained from the Dinas Lalu Lintas and Angkutan Jalan (DLLAJ) Bogor city. Based on the obtained data, a micro simulation model is built by using Aimsun traffic micro simulation program. The analysis is conducted in three traffic performance parameters; the traffic density, speed, and vehicles queue length. With respect to the analysis result, the relocation causes a serious traffic problem to the BORR network and the P. Sogiri Street. To minimize the problem caused by the relocation, three scenarios are proposed and thus simulated based on the findings and observed traffic problems. The first proposed scenario is conducted by widening the P. Sogiri Street and providing a 4-4 toll payment gate system to the BORR. This first scenario is able to reduce traffic problem in some sections, but the average network density, speed and queue length are still high by 132%, -54%, and 200% respectively compared to the existing condition. The second scenario is conducted by widening the P. Sogiri Street and providing a 5-3 toll gate system. This second scenario is also able to reduce traffic problem in most sections, but the average network density, speed and queue length are still high by 248%, -70%, and 95% respectively compared to the main bus station before the relocation. The third scenario is conducted by widening the P. Sogiri into 4 lanes, providing a 4-3 toll gate system, and providing a new access from/to P. Sogiri Street to Bogor city direction. The simulation result shows that the third scenario is considered as the best scenario since in this scenario, the density, speed and queue length are relatively similar compared to the existing condition.

Abstract

Several methods have been established for their various potential applications as soil improvement technique, and recently the application of grouting technique using biological process have been proposed. This study discussed the applicability of enzyme-mediated calcite precipitation (EMCP) in improving the shear strength parameters of sandy soil.  In this study, soil specimens were prepared and treated with the grouting solutions composed of urea, calcium chloride, magnesium sulfate and enzyme of urease. Evolutions in the cohesion and internal friction angle of the improved soil were examined through the direct shear tests. The presence of the precipitated materials, comprising 4.1 percent of the soil mass of the treated sand, generated a cohesion of 53 kPa. However, contrary to the improvement of cohesion, the friction angle is relatively constant. It indicated that the application of the EMCP technique has no significant impact on the friction angle

Abstract

Kemacetan adalah gangguan lalu lintas yang jamak terjadi di kota-kota besar maupun kota berkembang di Indonesia. Terdapat berbagai macam skenario manajemen lalu lintas yang diterapkan untuk mengurangi masalah ini. Salah satu contoh manajemen lalu lintas yang banyak dipakai adalah pembatasan jenis kendaraan tertentu di wilayah, ruas jalan, atau jam tertentu, yang diharapkan dapat mengurangi potensi gangguan lalu lintas. Mengacu pada Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia tahun 1997, kendaraan motor di Indonesia terbagi atas kendaraan berat (HV), ringan (mobil penumpang, LV) dan sepeda motor (MC). Di antara jenis kendaraan ini, kendaraan berat seperti truk dan bus sering menjadi sasaran dalam skenario pembatasan masuk di ruas jalan tertentu. Studi ini mencoba menggali keefektifan skenario ini dengan membandingkan kinerja ruas jalan tertentu melalui perubahan jenis kendaraan yang melintas melalui suatu konversi kendaraan. Upaya konversi untuk menyamakan besaran dampak tiap jenis kendaraan di dalam analisis transportasi dikenal dengan istilah ekuivalensi. Diantara jenis ekuivalensi yang paling umum dipakai adalah ekuivalensi mobil penumpang yang menjadikan setiap jenis kendaraan memiliki padanan dalam satuan mobil penumpang, smp atau pcu (passenger car unit). Analisis di studi ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan simulasi mikro, dimana variasi kendaraan dilakukan berdasarkan ekuivalensi mobil penumpang. Penilaian kinerja jalan dilakukan berdasarkan parameter kecepatan sesuai Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan RI no 96 Tahun 2015. Studi ini dibangun dengan 3 buah model: Model 1: kondisi asli, Model 2: transformasi HV ke LV, Model 3: transformasi HV ke MC, Model 4: penghilangan HV. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggantian HV ke LV maupun MC pada tingkat V/C yang sama dapat meningkatkan kecepatan lalu lintas. Lebih lanjut, penghapusan HV tanpa konversi ke kendaraan lain meningkatkan kinerja jalan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Di Indonesia umumnya evaluasi geometri jalan dilakukan dengan cara konvensional seperti menggunakan theodolite atau total station. Kegiatan evaluasi merupakan bagian dari monitoring untuk memantau setiap perubahan kondisi jalan baik profil, kepadatan kendaraan dan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi kondisi eksisting geometri jalan menggunakan UAV serta menganalisis ketelitian fotogrametri. Lokasi yang diambil dalam penelitian ini bertempat di Jalan Lingkar Dramaga. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan pengambilan foto udara menggunakan UAV bereferensi Titik Kontrol Bantu BIG pada beberapa Ground Control Point (GCP). Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap alinyemen horizontal dan alinyemen vertikal jalan. Evaluasi ini dilakukan setelah dilakukan proses orthophoto terhadap hasil foto udara. Alinyemen horizontal yang dievaluasi berupa sudut belokan, radius belokan, panjang belokan, dan sisipan antar dua tikungan. Evaluasi alinyemen vertikal berupa panjang lengkung dan kelandaian jalan. Hasil uji akurasi berdasarkan kondisi eksisting jalan sebesar 99.2% untuk orthophoto tanpa koreksi dan 99.6% untuk orthophoto terkoreksi ground control point. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi terhadap kondisi eksisting jalan, alinyemen horizontal jalan telah memenuhi SNI T-14-2004 sedangkan pada alinyemen vertikal terdapat nilai kelandaian yang melebihi pada segmen A1-A2 sehingga dilakukan rekomendasi perbaikan berupa penambahan elevasi sebesar 0.50 m pada STA 0+390 berupa penambahan lapisan perkerasan.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat harapan serta tingkat kinerja pelayanan bus kota di Surabaya menurut penumpang bus kota. Berkaitan dengan upaya peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, penelitian ini juga menganalisis faktor yang harus diprioritaskan, faktor yang harus dipertahankan, faktor dengan prioritas rendah dan faktor yang berlebihan. Indikator pelayanan sebanyak 13 variabel yang dikembangkan dari dimensi SERVQUAL. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 120 penumpang yang diambil dari 6 trayek yang saat ini beroperasi. Hasil analisis gap menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada satupun indikator yang memenuhi harapan penumpang. Penumpang berasumsi bahwa kualitas pelayanan bus kota di Surabaya berada pada level cukup memuaskan. Faktor ketersediaan AC (Air Conditioner) merupakan faktor yang dianggap penting oleh pelanggan tetapi pada kenyataannya faktor ini masih jauh dari harapan. Faktor inilah yang harus mendapatkan prioritas utama dari operator untuk dibenahi agar kualitas pelayanan dapat meningkat sesuai harapan penumpang.Kata kunci: importance performance analysis (IPA), pelayanan, tingkat kepuasan.

Abstract

Clay shale is an expansive soil owing to its shrinkage and expansion, leading to geotechnical issues, such as loss of strength. This study explored the effectiveness of the Polymer–Calcite Precipitation (PCP) method in improving clay shale's shear strength. This study evaluated the optimum Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) concentration for enhancing the shear strength and identifying the residual shear strength of the treated soil. Various tests were conducted to determine the soil properties and assess soil improvement using direct shear tests. The results indicate that adding PVA increases the cohesion value of saturated clay shale and maintains its residual strength close to its peak strength value, with the optimum concentration of 4% PVA boosting cohesion from 4.47 kPa to 32.83 kPa. In conclusion, the PCP method effectively enhances the shear strength of clay shale and offers a potential solution for soil stabilization.

Abstract

Campus Library IPB Dramaga has a fairly sharp bend with a limited curved radius, causing the vehicle must be careful when passing even with low speed, especially the medium-size vehicles. The purpose of this research was to evaluate vertical and horizontal alignment in front of library building based on RSNI T-14-2004. The result showed that the road geometric design did not conform to the SNI, especially the horizontal alignment, whereas the vertical alignment did not need to be evaluated. With a plan speed of 30 km/h and vehicle slow down of 3.4 m/s2, the persistent visibility was 35 m. The minimum bend radius for all bends was 36.8 m, while the existing radius at A1, A2, B1, B2, B3, and B4 were 17 m, 22 m, 10 m, 16 m, 6.4 m, and 9 m respectively. Using the rotary radius to allow the vehicle to pass safely, the minimum radius at B3 and B4 at the intersection was 7.3 m.

Abstract

The potential of traffic problems at non-signal intersection relatively higher and more complex than signalized intersection. Intersection of Dramaga-Bubulak street has no signal and is one of the intersection with high level mobility. The research objectives were to analysis the performance of actual conditions and alternatives strategies to improve intersection performance as well as to know the influence of one way traffic system on intersection performance. The results showed that the volume of traffic passing the intersection were 3816 passenger car unit (pcu)/hour at peak hour with degree of saturation (DS) of 0.85 and delay on the intersection was 14.41 sec/pcu so the intersection service level was B. The service level of intersection was good, so the research analyzed three alternatives strategies to decrease DS value. Performance analysis of traffic showed that alternatives I was the best model alternative condition, because application of one way traffic system on outer ring Bubulak would decreased the service level of Dramaga-Bubulak street.Key words: intersection, non-signal, street
