Abstract

Dusun Kota Graha merupakan bagian dari Desa Mendalo Darat Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Pada saat ini banyak masyarakat yang mencoba bisnis pembibitan Lobster Air Tawar. Kolam pembibitan lobster memerlukan pemantauan kadar oksigen terlarut dan kadar amonia dalam air secara berkala. Dengan teknologi berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), pemantauan kadar oksigen terlarut dan kadar amonia dalam air dapat dilakukan secara real-time tanpa memerlukan pengawasan manusia secara langsung. Hal ini meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan dan produksi dalam budidaya lobster. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan beberapa tahap yaitu tahap analisis situasi, pembuatan instrumentasi pengabdian, tahap workshop atau sosialisasi instrumen pengabdian kepada masyarakat mitra, dan tahap evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian. Tahap yang telah dilaksanakan sampai saat ini sudah sampai tahap sosialisasi sistem pemantauan kualitas air pada pembibitan lobster kepada masyarakat. Dalam tahap sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan analisis situasi yang dilakukan. Diharapkan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini masyarakat mendapatkan pengetahuan dalam usaha pembibitan lobster dalam meningkatkan produktivitas usahanya.

Abstract

Aplikasi Let"™s Read merupakan salah aplikasi yang berbasis perpustakaan digital yang menyuguhkan buku bacaan bergambar yang berfokus pada seni, pendidikan, dan budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mendapatkan hasil Evaluasi Usability pengguna Let"™s Read dengan metode Heuristic Evaluation (HE) serta Merancang ulang Antar Muka (Hifi) berdasarkan hasil Evaluasi Usability Evaluation tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden yang dipilih. Dimana respoden terdiri dari 3 Karakteristik yaitu seperti Responden Awam (15) Responden Biasa (15) dan Responden Ahli (5). Total Sampel yang diuji dari 3 kategori Responden diatas yaitu 35 Sampel. Berdasarkan dari hasil perhitungan data serta pembahasan pada penelitian yang telah dilakukan dari 3 kategori Responden yang diteliti dan diminta review terhadap aplikasi ini, memberi nilai menggunakan severity rating dengan nilai rata-rata 0 (tidak ada permasalahan pada Usability) dan 1 (Cosmetic Problem), yang artinya tidak ada permasalahan pada tampilan UI pada aplikasi Let"™s Read untuk wajib diperbaiki . Namun peneliti tetap memberikan Rekomendasi Hifi dengan Merancang Ulang tampilan Aplikasi tersebut dari hasil evaluasi tadi. Kesimpulanya aplikasi Let"™s Read sistemnya sudah layak digunakan dan fitur didalam sistem sudah berjalan dengan semestinya, dan User Experience dari pengguna aplikasi ini rata-rata cukup puas dan menilai aplikasi ini sudah sangat baik. Dan untuk fokus penelitian ini yaitu pada pengguna Rumah Baca Jakose dimana mereka juga memberikan penilaian sebagai Responden Biasa dan peneliti sangat merekomendasikan aplikasi ini untuk terus digunakan pada pendampingan belajar mengajar pada rumah baca tersebut karena aplikasi ini sudah sangat baik untuk mendukung pembelajaran kepada anak-anak.

Abstract

Online Journal Universitas Jambi (UNJA) bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi pertukaran pengetahuan dan penelitian yang lebih terbuka, efisien, dan terjangkau bagi komunitas akademik di UNJA dan masyarakat luas. Akan tetapi, dari hasil evaluasi dengan metode system usability scale (SUS) terhadap 15 responden didapatkan skor sebesar 68. Skor SUS tersebut masuk kedalam kategori “OK” dan termasuk kedalam grade “D”. Selain itu, dari hasil wawancara terhadap ketua pengelola website dan dari hasil indetifikasi UX Law terhadap website menunjukan bahwa system yang diterapkan masih perlu perbaikan untuk menjawab permasalahan yang dirasakan pengguna. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka diperlukan perancangan ulang tampilan antarmuka pengguna website journal UNJA yang khusus di desain dengan fitur-fitur yang dapat dipahami pengguna dengan melakukan riset dan perancangan User Interface (UI) website dengan metode design thinking. Dengan metode design thinking proses perancangan mampu menggambarkan permasalahan dan menghasilkan rancangan desain solusi untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan. Hasil perancangan solusi dilakukan evaluasi menggunakan metode SUS kembali untuk dapat mengetahui apakah hasil desain solusi mampu meningkatkan usability pengguna dari desain sebelumnya. Evaluasi SUS setelah desain mendapatkan score sebesar 93 atau termasuk kedalam grade A dengan nilai adjective rating 'Best Imagineble' dan rentang akseptabilitas pada posisi acceptable/dapat diterima. Dari hasil usability maka dapat   disimpulkan   bahwa hasil   perancangan   ulang telah   secara   efektif meningkatkan usability sistem. Peningkatan ini terlihat dari skor usability testing secara keseluruhan yang meningkat dari 68 menjadi 93. Pada skala pengukuran SUS, kegunaan sistem telah bertransisi dari dapat diterima dengan margin terendah menjadi dapat diterima dengan baik.

Abstract

Koperasi Unit Desa Karya Mandiri telah menggunakan aplikasi excel dalam pencatatan keuangan mereka, namun pada prakteknya terdapat beberapa masalah seperti data dari masing-masing unit usaha tidak terintegrasi, proses input data kedalam excel dilakukan secara manual satu persatu sehingga riskan terhadap kesalahan. Oleh karena itu, maka perlu dilakukan rancang bangun sistem informasi yang dapat mengintegrasikan data dan meminimalisir resiko kesalahan input. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi keuangan yang terintegrasi guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan mengurangi potensi kesalahan. Proses pengembangan sistem menggunakan SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) Model Prototype dengan Framework Codeigniter 4.3 dan Bootstrap 5. Selama proses pengembangan purwarupa, terjadi 2 siklus pengembangan purwarupa yang diterima pada siklus kedua. Purwarupa dikembangkan menjadi sistem berbasis web yang diuji dengan metode Black Box Testing dengan pelaku pengujian sejumlah 4 orang karyawan KUD Karya Mandiri yang setiap individu menguji sistem melalui role user yang berbeda yaitu super admin, kasir WASERDA, karyawan simpan pinjam dan ketua kelompok dengan 91 poin pengujian secara total. Keseluruhan test yang diujikan berhasil 100% sehingga dengan hasil tersebut Sistem pencatatan keuangan KUD Karya Mandiri telah sukses melalui pengujian Fungsional.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on student learning outcomes and task creativity in the Human-Computer Interaction course. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: a control class using conventional methods and an experimental class applying PjBL. Data were collected through final exam tests and a rubric-based assessment of UI/UX project creativity. The analysis results showed that the PjBL class achieved significantly higher scores in both final exams and task creativity (p < 0.05). It is concluded that the PjBL model is effective in enhancing students' understanding and UI/UX design skills in the Information Systems program.

Abstract

Coffee is the most consumed type of drink in the world. Each type of coffee has different physical characteristics from leaves, fruits to seeds. Now technology is needed in the world of agriculture in making decisions. To determine the type of coffee with fission characteristics, there are still many people who do not understand in distinguishing the physical characteristics of coffee plants. In this case, an application was developed using the RAD method by utilizing the flutter framework and the Convolutional Neural Network model that has been trained. The pre-train model used is NasNet Mobile with a dataset of 900 photos and 100 epochs with early-stopping utilization and heti at epoch 55 with an accuracy of 90.67%. In this study, implementing existing models into Android applications using the Flutter framework. With the implementation process carried out by the application can help the detection process using an android device. The implementation results get good test results with a score of 0.97. This application can help the process of identifying the type of coffee and minimize errors in identifying directly.

Abstract

The manual process of determining employee credit scores often leads to issues such as administrative complexity, human error, and low transparency. This study designs a web-based information system to digitize the process efficiently. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is employed to accelerate system iteration and testing. Key features include credit score submission, role-based data validation, change history tracking, and activity logs as an audit trail. The workflow is illustrated using a multi-actor activity diagram involving employees, the HR division, and management. The system is designed with a focus on security, efficiency, and data integration. Testing was conducted using a black-box approach to ensure that all functionalities operate as intended. Results show that the system performs optimally, remains stable, and is responsive across various usage scenarios. Therefore, this system contributes as a digital solution that improves accuracy, efficiency, and accountability in the credit score determination process, which is a critical component of personnel management, particularly within government and educational institutions.

Abstract

The Indonesian e-commerce market has experienced extraordinary growth, driven by increasing internet penetration and smartphone adoption, which necessitates advanced data analysis for competitive advantage. Clustering is a crucial data mining technique used to group products based on similar characteristics, providing in-depth insights into product performance. Previous studies often focused on single performance metrics, overlooking the nuances of combining multiple variables. This study aims to address this gap by implementing and comparing the K-Means and K-Medoids clustering algorithms on Tokopedia product data using a combination of numerical attributes: Price, Customer Rating, Number Sold, and Total Review. The methodology involved data preprocessing, Min-Max Scaling for normalization, and using the Elbow Method to determine the optimal number of clusters, which was found to be K=2. The clustering quality was rigorously evaluated using the Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI) and Silhouette Score. The results demonstrate that K-Means exhibits superior performance, achieving a lower DBI of 0.5717 and a higher Silhouette Score of 0.6012, compared to K-Medoids (DBI: 0.5870; Silhouette Score: 0.5857). Furthermore, K-Means proved significantly more efficient computationally, with an execution time of 0.0947 seconds versus 0.1622 seconds for K-Medoids. The main conclusion is that K-Means is more effective in creating compact and clearly separated clusters. This research contributes a valuable analytical framework for e-commerce managers to comprehensively understand product profiles, guiding more effective marketing and recommendation strategies.

Abstract

Handling repetitive inquiries in academic environments requires significant time and human resources, potentially delaying service delivery. This study developed a semantic FAQ chatbot using Sentence-BERT (SBERT) and Cosine Similarity to improve efficiency and consistency of academic information services at Universitas Jambi. The system encodes user queries into dense vector embeddings and compares them with FAQ entries using cosine similarity. A dataset of 65 frequently asked questions was collected through interviews and direct observation with students, lecturers, staff, and helpdesk officers. To evaluate semantic understanding, these entries were expanded into 130 question variations using paraphrasing. Model performance was measured with a confusion matrix and standard metrics. At a similarity threshold of 0.5, the system achieved 79.2% accuracy, 81.7% precision, 96.3% recall, and an F1-score of 88.4%. The results show that SBERT effectively identifies semantically similar questions with different wordings, handling both formal and informal Indonesian queries. High recall demonstrates that most relevant questions were successfully retrieved, while precision remains sufficient to ensure reliable responses. This study demonstrates that SBERT-based semantic matching can successfully handle Indonesian academic FAQ with diverse linguistic variations, enabling 24/7 accessibility and consistent service delivery independent of staff availability. Future work should expand the dataset to include emerging queries and conduct pilot deployment to validate operational effectiveness and user satisfaction

Abstract

Manual management of report cards at SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi often leads to recording errors, data loss, and limited access to real-time academic information, which hinders effective communication between schools, teachers, students, and parents. This study aims to analyze and design a web-based E-Report Card system using the Structured System Analysis and Design (SSAD) method as a structured and reliable solution to these challenges. The SSAD approach was applied through several stages, including problem identification, requirement analysis, system design using Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), and wireframes, followed by prototype evaluation through usability testing. The evaluation process utilized Maze as a usability testing tool to assess the system’s interface performance using the Mean Adjusted Usability Score (MAUS). The analysis results produced a system design that features structured data flow, an integrated database, and an interactive user interface prototype tailored to stakeholder needs. The usability testing results indicated the highest MAUS score for Students/Parents users (93), while Subject Teachers obtained the lowest score (67), suggesting the need for interface improvement for better task efficiency. Overall, the designed web-based E-Report Card system demonstrates the potential to overcome inefficiencies in manual report card management while enhancing accuracy, transparency, and accessibility of academic information in schools.
