Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan siswa dalam berargumentasi dan kemampuan siswa dalam menyajikan data untuk menunjang argumentasi yang dilihat dari kesesuain jawaban dengan materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali pertemuan dengan partisipan 12 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Bondowoso. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi berupa video dan rekaman suara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari tiga indikator kemampuan berargumentasi yaitu claim, evidence, dan reasoning, siswa paling lemah dalam memberikan reasoning. Siswa juga belum sepenuhnya mampu menyesuaikan jawaban dengan materi yang dipelajari. Jawaban yang diberikan hanya berdasarkan asumsi pribadi tanpa disertai teori pendukung yang berkaitan dengan materi. Simpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam berargumentasi masih tergolong rendah.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of growth and development of a body that is shorter than its age. Stunting sufferers need complementary foods that contain high nutrition to help reduce the risk of deadly disease or the risk of death. One of the alternative complementary foods that is good for stunting sufferers is edamame soyghurt. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of edamame soyghurt as an alternative complementary food for stunting sufferers. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with different combinations of treatments on edamame juice, skim milk, and starter. The combination of different treatments gave a significant effect on the results of the test parameters pH, total BAL, and acidity. Treatments that have the potential as alternative complementary foods for stunting sufferers are treatment C with test results at pH test parameters of 4.3; total BAL 1.1 x 10^5 CFU/ml; acidity 1.2306%.

Abstract

Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Kartu Kuartet Terhadap Hasil dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa SMP Dalam Pembelajaran IPA. Keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru membuat hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa rendah. Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan media kartu kuartet terhadap hasil dan motivasi belajar siswa SMP. Media kuartet ini memiliki kelebihan dilengkapi dengan gambar berwarna dan menarik serta dilengkapi penjelasan gambar Jenis penelitian quasi experiment dengan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Lokasi penelitian di SMP Negeri 3 Bondowoso dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 2 kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan tes dan angket. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah independent sample t test. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol, sedangkan nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis didapatkan signifikansi (2-tailed) yaitu 0,000 yang berarti lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu kuartet berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil dan motivasi belajar siswa SMP pada pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan modul mobile learning berbasis android pada materi struktur dan fungsi tumbuhan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa SMP. Pengembangan bahan ajar modul mobile learning berbasis android pada materi struktur dan fungsi tumbuhan ini didasari oleh kebutuhan bahan ajar yang sesuai untuk pembelajaran abad 21 yang identik dengan pemanfaatan teknologi, informasi dan komunikasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah desain pengembangan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) persentase validitas modul mobile learning berbasis Android adalah 91% dari rata-rata tiga validator, (2) persentase kepraktisan modul mobile learning berbasis Android adalah 96, 8%, (3) skor keefektifan modul mobile learning berbasis android adalah 0,45 yang diperoleh dari uji N-gain dan 97% dari angket respon siswa sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul mobile learning berbasis android valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa SMP.

Abstract

Science process skills need to be owned by students in learning science. With science process skills, it is easier for students to conduct research and solve life problems by implementing science learning outcomes. Nevertheless, science learning involving science process skills is still challenging for teachers. This study aims to produce collaborative-based worksheets on natural science learning materials in junior high schools. The type of research used is Research and Development with the Plomp development model, which consists of 3 stages: a preliminary study, a prototyping stage, and an assessment phase. The subjects used for product trials were class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Ajung Jember. The results showed that the validity of the collaborative-based worksheet obtained very valid criteria with a percentage value of 93.25%. Based on the practicality test, collaborative-based worksheets are included in the convenient category and are suitable for learning with a percentage of 96.45%. In the effectiveness test, a practical collaborative-based worksheet is proven to improve students' science process skills by acquiring the N-Gain of 0.6, which is included in the moderate criteria. Based on this study's results, we can state that the science process skills can be developed in students by conditioning science learning that optimizes collaborative activities.

Abstract

This study aimed to collect data for two reasons: (1) How the learning cycle 5E model assisted by multi representation-based E-LKPD in science learning has an effect on HOTS of junior high school students, and (2) How far the use of the learning cycle 5E model assisted by multi representation-based E-LKPD in the subject of science increases the HOTS of junior high school students. The implementation of the research was taking place in the even semester of TP 2022/2023 at SMPN 2 Panti, Jember. Classes VIII B and C were assigned as the experimental and control samples in this study, respectively. Data were collected by pre-and post-testing. While 3 types of tests in analyzing data include normality test, independent sample t-test, and n-gain through SPSS statistics. In the effect test using the independent sample t-test, a confidence level (two-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 was generated, so it can be said that students’ HOTS were significantly different prior to and following treatment. The result of increasing higher-order thinking skills using the n-gain test is a medium category increase in students’ HOTS, which is 0.4635. In this case, it can be decided that the learning cycle 5E model assisted by multi representation-based E-LKPD in science learning has an effect on HOTS and helps junior high school students’ HOTS develop into a medium category.
