Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendidikan politik melalui mata pelajaran PPKn berikut persepsi peserta didik terhadap pendidikan politik melalui mata pelajaran PPKn;  Menganalisis partisipasi politik generasi Z di media sosial; dan menganalisis tipologi partisipasi politik generasi Z berdasarkan pendidikan politik yang telah diperoleh melalui mata pelajaran PPKn serta keterpaparan berita politik di media sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan studi fenomenologi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penentuan sumber data penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive, meliputi: Wakil kepala sekolah bagian kurikulum SMA Negeri 1 Depok Sleman, guru pengampu mata pelajaran PPKn, peserta didik yang merupakan generasi Z, serta pengamat politik wilayah DIY dari Komite Independen Sadar Pemilu (KISP). Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Analisis data menggunakan model. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan keterampilan partisipasi politik perserta didik ditinjau berdasarkan implementasi pendidikan politik melalui mata pelajaran PPKn di SMA Negeri Depok Sleman belum terbentuk, meskipun berdasarkan persepsinya peserta didik sudah merasa cukup puas dengan pembelajaran yang diperoleh; generasi Z tidak menempatkan media sosial sebagai sarana yang memungkinkan untuk berpartisipasi dalam konteks politik; dan partisipasi politik generasi Z tergolong ke dalam tipolgi yang militan hipokrit.

Abstract

Memasuki paroh dekade keenam usia kermedekaan bangsa Indonesia hingga di penghujung tahun 2009, bangsa ini belum berhasil menuntaskan formnulasi  tentang satu sistem pendidikan nasional yang disepakati secara permanen oleh seluruh komponen bangsa Indonesia. Indikator belum adanya konsensus yang permanen tentang formulasi sistem pendidikan nasional secara fenomenal dapat dibaca  dari munculnya  sikap  pro dan kontra yang sangat luas menjelang disyahkannya Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia NO. 20 tahun   2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional. Persoalan tersebut jika dilacak lebih jauh akan sampai pada akar persoalan belum stabilnya bangunan sistem politik nasional (floating state) yang menjadi payung bagi sistem pendidikan nasional.            Dilihat dari perspektif politik rumusan tentang konsepsi sistem pendidikan nasional dan include didalamnya Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan adalah merupakan produk dari kebijakan politik  dari suatu sistem politik. Dalam konteks keterkaitan antara sistem pendidikan nasional dengan sistem politik Indonesia yang menarik dipertanyakan lebih jauh adalah sistem pendidikan nasional di Indonesia tersebut dirumuskan ulang ditengah berlangsungnya refomasi politik yang sudah berlangsung memasuki  satu dasawarsa  (1998-2009). Merujuk pada gagasan besar demokrasi lebih khusus lagi perspektif tentang civil society, seharusnya rakyatlah yang memiliki otonomi untuk mengarahkan  wacana dan memiliki kata putus tentang bentuk sitem politik nasional termasuk didalamnya tentang sistem pendidikan nasional yang disepakati oleh rakyat. Negara sebenarnya tidak memiliki wewenang untuk mengajari kepada rakyatnya (yang lebih sering menjadi proses hegomonisasi) nilai-nilai – prinsip-prinsip kehidupan yang secara elitis dianggap baik. Kegagalan negara Indonesia melalui regim yang berkuasa untuk mengajari rakyatnya mrlalui P4 misalnya selama kekuasaan Orde Baru memberikan bukti yang kuat akan kebenaran proposisi diatas. Mengikuti alur logika berfikir seperti ini, maka kerja intelektual untuk mengikhtiarkan bagi hadirnya suatu model pendidikan politik yang mampu melahirkan suatu tipe warga negara yang mampu memberikan kontribusi bagi tercapainya suatu konsensus nasional permanen bagi lahirnya suatu sistem politik nasional adalah merupakan sebuah keniscayaan sekaligus langkah strategis untuk terwujudnya konsolidasi demokrasi di Indonesia.            Prospek  pendidikan politik akan sangat dipengaruhi oleh hadirnya Pendidikan Politik  yang mampu melahirkan warga negara yang memiliki budaya politik baru, gagasan inovatif, memiliki sikap kritis pada kinerja sistem politik nasional, serta memiliki loyalitas pada hasil konsensus nasional, di negara yang bernama Indonesia baru. Cita-cita tersebut memerlukan kerja keras dan sistemik serta waktu beberapa generasi untuk mewujudkannya, sebagaimana dialami oleh bangsa-bangsa lain yang lebih dahulu meraih kemerdekaannya. Paparan dalam tulisan ini akan mencermati dan menganalisis prospek Pendidikan Politik sebagai bagaian yang tak terpisahkan dari reformasi politik nasional yang include didalamnya juga refomasi sistem pendidikan nasional

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure of political education content in the Pancasila Education student textbook at the senior high school level. The method used is critical discourse analysis developed by Teun van Dijk, focusing on the text structure within the Pancasila Education student textbook. The findings reveal that the structure of political education content in the Pancasila Education subject at the senior high school level, based on the analysis of macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure, shows that the political education material in the textbook predominantly emphasizes the Pancasila ideology. The political education content in the textbook is unbalanced, and the discourse on political education presented in the textbook uses an approach based on loyalty and threats to convey its messages. From these findings, it can be concluded that the political education portrayed in the Pancasila Education student textbook is indoctrinative, with a lack of substance in the political education material relevant to current social conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between political ethics education and legal awareness on students’ political culture within the context of university organizations. A correlational quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. The participants consisted of 30 undergraduate students actively involved in campus organizations, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire that met validity and reliability requirements (α = 0.79–0.85). Multiple regression analysis was conducted after fulfilling classical assumptions. The results indicate that political ethics education has a positive and significant effect on students’ political culture (β = 0.621; p < 0.01), as does legal awareness (β = 0.412; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables explain 85.5% of the variance in political culture (R² = 0.855; p < 0.001). These findings suggest that the internalization of political ethics and legal understanding plays a crucial role in shaping students’ democratic participation. However, the results should be interpreted cautiously due to the limited sample size and non-random sampling.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the shifting of political education at Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (Prosperity and Justice Party (PKS). I employ theory of social contract to analyze phenomena involving the elites and the rest of the Muslims. This research is a study of the literature complemented with an in-depth interview with those who involve in the political education either as the subjects or objects of it. The data, then, were analyzed by means of a method of critical discourse. The political education shifting, partly, is related to the shifting of conception on the relationship between Islam, as normative values, and Indonesia, as the context for its implementation. At first, PKS tends to produce a cadre who has strong characters such as a pious cadre and loyal to the party. Majority of the elite party failed to represent themselves at the Parliament. Then, they develop political education which produces activists who are capable of accommodating Islamic values to the political calculation. At last, PKS follows the market demand of middle class Muslims who aspire to produce the religious and modern young Muslim generation. By so doing, PKS is able to expand its political influence amongst the people, especially the Muslim.

Abstract

Citizen culture and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika are a set of ideas or concepts that contain positive values and become the identity of a nation. However, with globalization, people's lifestyles have shifted to modern lifestyles, because it is one of the crucial problems that makes people no longer preserve citizen culture and the values contained in the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika as a national identity. This study aims to analyze the contribution of the Mapalus tradition of house building to strengthen citizen culture and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika in Tobatu Dua Tengah village. This study is an ethnographic study with a qualitative approach. The research data collection technique uses in-depth interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Mapalus tradition of house building can strengthen citizen culture in terms of language, knowledge, kinship and social organization, and art. These findings are in line with Hall's theory, that cultural identity comes from ancestral heritage, has certain elements and values that strengthen the cultural identity of a region. Mapalus house construction also provides reinforcement of bhinneka tunggal ika in the aspect of strengthening social solidarity, resource sharing, collective problem solving, uniting various social groups, non-formalistic principles, convergent, pluralistic and multicultural, and the spirit of mutual cooperation. This finding is in line with Robert's theory that high social connectedness, achieved through joint activities, can increase trust and cooperation between community members.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of social literacy among PGSD students through issue-based learning in the Elementary Social Studies Basic Concepts course. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through classroom observations, interviews with lecturers and students, and documentation of learning activities and student work. The findings reveal that, in the initial stage, students’ social literacy was predominantly descriptive, characterized by a superficial understanding of social issues and a limited ability to connect social studies concepts with contemporary social phenomena. The implementation of issue-based learning through stages of issue introduction, exploration and analysis using social studies concepts, critical discussion and social reflection, and synthesis of findings was shown to effectively enhance students’ social literacy. Students demonstrated improvements in analytical thinking toward social issues, the integration of social studies concepts with social realities, and the development of critical, reflective, and social empathy attitudes. The role of lecturers as facilitators and active student participation emerged as key factors in the success of the learning process. Nevertheless, the study also identified challenges related to the complexity of social issues, limitations in students’ analytical literacy, time constraints in lectures, and variations in students’ critical thinking abilities. These findings imply that issue-based social studies learning is a relevant pedagogical strategy for strengthening social literacy and for preparing prospective elementary school teachers with social awareness and critical thinking skills.
