The aims of this study was to analyze the effect of education and the exchange rate of farmers on the level of labor productivity in the agricultural sector in Sumatra. The data used is panel data of provinces in Sumatra during 2010-2014. The analysis used a panel data regression model. The results showed that education had significant positive effect, while the farmer exchange rate had a significant negative effect on the level of agricultural sector labor productivity in Sumatra.

This study aims to look at the level of competitiveness of Jambi province in the agricultural sector and the necessary policy to increase competitiveness. The results of the study found that in large scale Jambi province has relatively high enough competitiveness in the agricultural sector, it can be seen from LQ coefficient of the agricultural sector is superior to one, especially in the fields of plantation and horticulture. Then, in the micro some commodities that potentially have relatively high competitiveness such as soybean, potato, chili, coffee and coconut commodities, especially if we look at the level of productivity, while rubber and palm oil mainly in terms of land area and production level. Then based on the SWOT analysis for the agricultural sector, it seems that the agricultural sector has the potential and opportunity to be developed in the future, which has obstacles and threats to the development of the agricultural sector. In order to increase the competitiveness of the agricultural sector for Jambi province, various policies were carried out including through improvement in terms of farmers' capabilities, institutions, productivity, production and cluster approaches.

This study aims to determine the development of the population, economic growth, regional spending, and regional retribution, to determine the effect of population, economic growth and regional spending on regional retribution in the city of Jambi from 2000-2016. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This research uses descriptive and quantitative analysis methods using multiple regression OLS methods. The results showed the population, economic growth, regional expenditure, and regional retribution increased from 2000-2016. Based on the results of multiple regression OLS methods show the population, economic growth, and regional spending have a significant effect on regional retribution in the city of Jambi in 2000-2016.

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence unemployment in districts/cities in Jambi province. To formulate strategies for reducing unemployment in districts/cities in Jambi province. This study uses secondary data with panel data regression analysis methods and SWOT analysis. The results of this study that the factors that have a significant effect on unemployment in districts / cities in Jambi Province are Economic Growth, Poverty and Employment Opportunities and a good unemployment reduction strategy is to prevent high labor migration by optimizing the existing workforce in the district/city, building the economy and adequate regional infrastructure, improve the quality of human resources by opening job training and alleviating poverty and unemployment

This research aims to analyze the effect of wages, economic growth, and employment against the number of Educated Unemployment in Muaro Jambi Regency period 2001-2015. This research is a quantitative research using time series data from the years 2001-2015. The type of data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the Badan Pusat Statistik of Jambi Province. The results showed that the wages and employment opportunities have a significant influence on the number of educated unemployment in Muaro Jambi Regency, but economic growth has not significantly influenced the number of educated unemployment in Muaro Jambi Regency years 2001-2015. The regression results show that the value of RÂ² the independent variable (wages, economic growth, and employment opportunities) has a value of 0,627091 which means 62,70 % number of educated unemployment affected by wages, economic growth, and employment opportunities. While remaining 37,30 % explained by variables other than the model.

Jambi City has several impoverished residents, which is counted 16.632 with the family head. 1) The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of social and economic income of poor household heads in Jambi city 2) Analyzing the influence of education level, type of work, and the number of dependents significantly partially affect the income of poor household heads in Jambi City. With data primary and analyze descriptive and double regression. The results of this study are the level of education, type of work, and the number of simultaneously significant effects on the income of poor heads of households. The level of education, the type of work, and the number of dependents partially have a positive and significant impact on the income of poor household heads. The most dominant independent variables affecting the income of poor household heads in Jambi City are the dependent variable variables. Â
