Abstract

Harmonic filter is a power electronics technology to produce specific current components that canbe used to reduce harmonic currents generated by non-linear loads. Non-linear load is usually foundon electronic equipment in which there are semi-conductor components, such as the use of airconditioners, TVs, computers, medical equipment, musical instruments and so forth. Based onpreliminary measurements at Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa, the simulation results of the THD (TotalHarmonic Distortion) current value of 25.17%, which means exceeding the IEEE 159-2014 standardvalue of ? 15.0%. Filters that are placed incorrectly can cause THD harmonics to be suboptimal. Fromthe results of the study it was found that the THDv value at Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa was 4.83%where these conditions met the maximum THDv IEEE 519-2014 standard for voltages ? 69 kV. THDivalue at Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa after the use of active and passive filters is ? 15% and accordingto IEEE Standard 519-2014. The best placement of active filters to reduce power distortion is SDP 2.2because it can reduce power distortion from 20.08% to 3.94%, and the best passive filter placement isMDP 2, because it can reduce power distortion from 20.13 % to 8.52%.

Abstract

The type of load contained in the electrical system at Bali National Golf Resort is a nonlinier load. on-linear loads, it can cause harmonics and make a decrease in quality of electricpower. Harmonics can be bad impact for the sinusoidal shape of current and voltage waves andthen making the electrical system abnormal. To reduce harmonics we need the addition of anactive filter. This research will focus on simulating the use of Fuzzy Logic Controller on activefilters to reduce harmonics. The simulation is done using MATLAB R2013 software. As theresults, The usage of Fuzzy Logic Controller on active filter are able to reduce the harmonicswhere the current and voltage harmonic values fall, average to 0,86% and 0,11%.

Abstract

Sistem pengangkat air dengan menggunakan sumber pembangkit listrik tenaga surya sudah banyak dilakukan oleh beberapa orang atau kelompok, namun pada malam hari panel surya tidak dapat mensuplai mesin pengangkat air karena tidak mendapatkan sinar matahari. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah tidak dilengkapi dengan penyimpanan energi untuk sistem pengangkat air tersebut. Solusi untuk masalah ini adalah dengan membuat rancang bangun baterai charge control untuk sistem tersebut. Metode dalam pembuatan sistem ini dibagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu perancangan hardware dan software. Hasil dari sistem charge control ini mampu melakukan pengisian untuk aki GS 12V10Ah dengan arus pengisian mengikuti arus dari PLTS dengan rata-rata arus pengisian sebesar 2,065 ampere dan tegangan pengisian yang diberikan 13V selama 2 jam dan lama pemakaian aki GS 12V10Ah untuk membackup beban pompa 60 Watt selama 1 jam 45 menit.

Abstract

The 20 Kv distribution network at Dewa Ruci has 61 distribution substations using the SUTMnetwork with AAAC conductors 1 x 150 mm², because distribution substations are placed in theopen, lightning surge disturbances and overloads that result in damaged transformers,transformers need protection against disturbances, so selected LA placement before and afterFCO to protect the transformer from lightning surge interference with a fast 4/10 us wavepropagation. Placement of LA before the FCO with a distance of 2 meters from the transformerthere is a voltage increase of 89.3515748 kV with a working voltage of LA 87 kV for a LAprotection factor of 95.7 kV, the possibility of LA failing to secure the transformer. Placement ofLA after FCO with a distance of 0.3 meters from the transformer there is a voltage increase of13.40273622 kV still at the working voltage and LA protection factor so that the transformer isstill safe.

Abstract

Melia Bali-Indonesia Hotel is the first hotel of Sol Melia's management, which subsequently becomes the Bali Sol Hotel. This hotel was supplied from transformer 1 of the Melia Bali Hotel via MDP1 with 9 SDPs, with priority to supply electricity to rooms and villas. Based on the measurement results obtained currents: at each phase namely: phase R = 456 A, phase S = 445 A, phase T = 412 A and power factor of 0,84. A power factor of less than 0,85, based on the determination of an electric power tariff adjustment from PT PLN, may be subject to excess reactive power usage fees (Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28 of 2016). Based on these data, an analysis of the installation of capacitors was carried out to increase the power factor in transformer 1 of Melia Bali Sol. The method used is to use simulation modeling with ETAP. Based on the results of the analysis of the installation of capacitors can increase the power factor by 11% to 0,95, already exceeding the minimum average power factor determined by the PLN electricity tariff adjustment. In addition, the load current decreased 12% from 442.3 A to 389.5 A.

Abstract

Dari hasil studi pengolahan data mengenai kepuasan pelanggan listrik prabayar PT. PLN (Persero) Distribusi Area Bali Selatan, dinyatakan bahwa pelanggan yang telah menggunakan layanan listrik prabayar sudah merasa puas dengan pelayanan yang diberikan oleh PLN. Berdasarkan olah data statistik dengan software SPSS semua item pertanyaan yang digunakan pada kuesioner dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Hasil pengukuran tegangan listrik yang dilakukan di rumah pelanggan didapatkan bahwa 100% tegangan yang diukur adalah tegangan normal dengan nilai 220 Volt. Berdasarkan urutan peringkat pada tingkat yang dirasakan yaitu item yang memiliki nilai rata-rata tertinggi adalah kontinuitas listrik (4,6%) dan item yang memiliki nilai rata-rata terendah adalah kecepatan pelayanan permohonan PB (Pasang Baru) / PD (Perubahan Daya) / PS (Penyambungan Sementara) (3,53%). Sedangkan urutan peringkat pada tingkat yang diharapkan yaitu item yang memiliki nilai rata-rata tertinggi adalah kontinuitas listrik (5%) dan item yang memiliki nilai rata-rata terendah adalah kejelasan dan kemudahan prosedur PB (Pasang Baru) / PD (Perubahan Daya) / PS (Penyambungan Sementara) (4,77%).

Abstract

Buduk feeder is a 20 Kv medium voltage distribution system that gets power supplyfrom the ship's substation and crosses large coastal areas and rice fields and is prone to naturalphenomena such as lightning. During 2018 there were 3 lightning disturbances. Based on thesedata, it is necessary to analyze the distribution channel failure at Buduk feeders, so thecontinuity of the distribution channel can be better. The performance of the Spike System iswhen a lightning surge occurs on the distribution channel, the Spike System directly transmitsthe lightning strike to the ground. Based on the data analysis, it is necessary to add a Spikeprotection system to the Buduk Feeder to maintain the continuity of electric power.The methodused in this research is to collect data in the form of a single line diagram, disturbance data dueto lightning strikes at Buduk feeders. Next, compared the Buduk feed line before Spikeinstallation and after spike installation. First, analysis of technical data and the channelperformance before spike installation. Second, proceed with channel analysis after theinstallation of the Spike. Third, to analyze the causes of failure due to lightning strikes on thefeeders. The results obtained after the installation of the Spike system, the number ofdisturbances due to lightning surges, both induction and direct strikes, decreased in 2019 withthe number of interruptions one time.

Abstract

Utilization of sunlight as a source of renewable electrical energy by using photovoltaic (PV) has been done by many public and private agencies. One of them is Badung Regency Government. Power source for Main Street Lighting (LPJU) with the number of lamp posts 305 installed along the road By Pass I Gusti Ngurah Rai. This study analyzed the effect of position change on the efficiency of LPJU solar panel. The simulation of this research using PVSyst software and compared with real measurement result to get the position of solar cell that can produce optimal output power and better efficiency value. The result of comparison of rill measurement with PVSyst simulation, in zone 1 obtained maximum energy generation of 60,42 kWh, 186,40 kWh, at zone 2 equal to 72,54 kWh, 186,40 kWh, at zone 3 equal to 33,97 kWh, 186.40 kWh, in zone 4 of 61.52 kWh, 186.40 kWh. The PVSyst simulation results show that the solar cell output power is higher than the rear measurement in different directions and the efisiesin value obtained is better than the previous rill measurement.

Abstract

A non-linear load operation on a power system will generate harmonics. Operating non-linear loads on the simulated electrical system at the Bene Hotel Kuta created a harmonic current which resulted in power losses. In this study, the simulation used ETAP software, and determined the standard of THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) according to IEEE 519-2014, the standard maximum THDI value 5.0% and THDV maximum 5,0%. Compared the simulation results with the specified standards, installation of a high pass active filter, as well as power loss analysis before and after filter installation. THDI value of simulation result did not still meet the standard, with the average being 9.7%. The installation of a high pass active filter could reduce harmonic distortion with an average THDI value of 1.5% and a THDV value of 0.31%. The total power loss prior to installation of active filter was 153,119.8 Watt and after the installation it became 1,511.2 Watt. The decrease in filter values used 70% of the filter's maximum capability to obtain a more efficient filter, but it still met the specified THD standard. Total loss of power on electrical system was 11,885.5W.

Abstract

Harmonics is a periodic sine wave distortion, due to the operation of nonlinear loads. Har-monics causes current to flow in the neutral wire even though in a balanced load condition, in addition to harmonic load imbalance problems will increase the current flowing in the neutral wire, making it dangerous for the electrical system. This research was using electrical system modeling simulation in MATLAB application by changing the earth resistance value to see the effect of earth resistance value to Total Harmonic Current Distortion (THDi), it is necessary to analyze the effect of resistance value for THDi neutral wire grounding. This study uses the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method. THDi simulation results when the conditions of the resistance value is 9 ?, THDi percentage in phase R is 6.30%, Phase S is 2.86%, Phase T is 2.50%. When the earth resistance value is 5 ?, the percentage of THDi decreases with the value in phase R is 6.09%, Fasa S is 2.61%, Fasa T is 2.48%. When the earth resistance value is 2 ?, the THDi percentage in the R phase is 5.85%, Fasa S is 2.09%, Fasa T is 2.22%. Based on the simulation results it is known that the smaller the earth resistance value, the smaller the harmonic distortion in the electrical system.
