Abstract

The increasing. use of non-linear loads can make. harmonic distortion in the current andvoltage waves so that it can reduce the. reliability and quality of the. power system. Non-linearloads that are often used are induction motors, consequently the use of induction. motors willhave an impact on the high harmonics. of the system. The impact. of these harmonics can bereduced by using a. hybrid filter. The method used is. direct measurement of the object understudy in the form. of current data, motor rotation and 3 induction motor THDi. This researchuses a Simulink-based simulation. which aims to reduce the. harmonic content in. the networkand to see the effect of harmonics. on the performance of the. 3-phase induction motor onrotation and torque. The. results of the. analysis show. that the hybrid filter. can. reduce theharmonic content in the network. The decrease that occurs in THDi is 11.96% in the R phase,11.95% in the S. phase and 11.96% in the T phase with a load of 3 motors. Using hybrid powerfilter is able to make the motor rotation stable at 0.17 s. However, the rotation. of the. inductionmotor remains at. 1498 rpm and a torque of 0.4682 Nm.

Abstract

Penyulang Arjuna is a medium voltage Network in supply from GI Pemecutan Kelod power with a capacity of 60 MVA, and channel length 10,202 km. Before mounted Recloser Double Six, the Reliability Index Penyulang Arjuna 0,4001 SAIFI value times/ customer/year, and the value of SAIDI 3,9355 hours/customers/year. Penyulang Arjuna never had 10 times the trip in the year 2015, thus affecting the level of reliability. To tackle these problems, in doing the installation of Recloser Double Six. Reliability analysis using the method of Section Technique. The results of the analysis after the installation of the Recloser Double Six is the value of SAIFI 0,2240 times/customer/year, and the value of SAIDI 2,0714 hours/ customers/year. With the declining value of SAIFI and SAIDI after mounting the Recloser Double Six, increased reliability and meet the standards of reliability index SAIFI of 3,2 times/year and SAIDI, amounting to 21 hours/year corresponding SPLN No. 68-2 years 1986.

Abstract

The level of satisfaction with the service provided by PLN becomes the main priority that must be obtained by the customers. The purpose of this research is to know the quality of electricity service to customer satisfaction PT PLN (Persero) Rayon Tabanan. In this research using 100 respondents by using non random sampling method in sample selection. There are two methods used in the research is the method of statistical data and methods of observation. Statistical data is the result of respondents' assessment on importance performance analysis, validity test and Cartesian diagram. Observation is a direct observation in the study. The results of this study indicate that electricity customers Rayon Tabanan feel satisfied with the quality of electricity service PT PLN (Persero) Rayon Tabanan because the assessment of respondents on electrical continuity in the level that is felt in accordance with the expected customers with SPSS calculation of 4.59% and for the value the lowest of 3.49% is the speed of PB / PD / PS application.

Abstract

In the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Udayana University, a Solar Power Plant was installed with a power of 26.4 kWp, a Wind Power Plant with a power of 5 kWp and a Diesel Power Plant with a capacity of 20 kVA. The size of harmonics in the electric power system is called Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). THDi's research results at DH Electrical Engineering Building of Udayana University before the operation of Distributed Generation (DG) were that R phase was 9.91%, S phase was 10.86%, and T phase was 9.85%. THDi value after the operation of Distributed Generation, R phase was 16.05%, S phase was 17.53%, and T phase was 15.70%. THDi value with LC filter, R phase was 4.0%, S phase was 5.52% and T phase was 3.97%. THDv value before the operation of Distributed Generation, R phase was 0.08%, S phase was 0.48% and T phase was 0.47%. THDv value after the operation of Distributed Generation, R phase was 0.24%, S phase was 0.44% and T phase was 0.49%. THDv value with LC filter, R phase was 0.01%, S phase was 0.01% and T phase was 0.02%. The results of the research showed that losses before the operation of Distributed Generation were 115.53 Watts and the value of losses after the operation of Distributed Generation had increased to 130.07 Watts.

Abstract

Where it was recorded that according to BMKG data in 2019 in East Bali there were 15,000-30,000 lightning strikes. This gives the potential for, lightning strike on a 20 kV distribution linewhich is quite high. This connection will cause interference to the feeder if the lightning arresteris placed on the distribution transformer incorrectly. The equepment used to protect equipmentfrom lightning surge distrubances, one of which is a lightning arrester. The lightning arresterused in the KL 0074 substation is in place after the cut out. The Losan medium-voltage aerialfeeder is conncected by an A3CS cable for 8.5 km and an MVTIC cable for a distance of 2.02km which is connected to the KL 0074 substation. The distance between the KL 0074transformer and the lightning arrester is 3.75 meters, so it needs to be examined further to findout whether the protection generated by the lightning arrester is optimal or not. Theeresulttofftheanalysissshowwthatttheelightning arrester with an instalation distance of 0.34 meters from thetransformer is still able to cut the lightning surge, with the resulting splash voltage of 124.977.4Volts but the spark voltage is within the tolerance limit of the 125 kV lightning arrester splashvoltage.,

Abstract

Electricity energy needs in Bali have increased annually by 135,2 GWh, as a result, the State-Owned Electrcity Company (PLN) is being required to add new power plants or the addition of transformer to serve load side fedeers. New transformer have been added to Padang Sambian substation and the reconfiguration of Padang Sambian feeders. The reconfiguration causes the feeder impedance value to change, thus affecting the protection system such as Over Current Relay (OCR) and Ground Fault Relay (GFR). Calculation of current setting and OCR and GFR relay work time can minimize the interference that occurs. The amount of short circuit current that occurs in Padang Sambian fedeers was calculated to determine the value of relay settings. The result of the analysis showed that the OCR current setting value for the incoming side of 0,91 A with Time Multiplier Setting (TMS) was 0,2 SI and OCR on the outgoing side of 2,063 A with TMS of 0,161 SI. The value of current setting for the incoming GFR was 0,01 A with TMS of 0,27 SI and the setting value of the GFR current on the outgoing side was 0,16 A with TMS of 0,106 SI. The result of Electrical Power System Analysis (ETAP) simulation obtained an OCR and GFR coordination curve that did not intersect the Time-Curve Current (TCC) characteristic. This shows that coordination runs well and meets sensitivity, reliability, selectivity and speed requirements.

Abstract

The Saba feeder is one of the feeders located in the PLN working area of the East Bali Area,which is located around the villages of Saba, Blahbatuh and Blangsinga in the district of Gianyar.This feeder has 75 transformers with a capacity of 25-500 kVA that are connected by SUTM,SKUTM, MVTIC and ground cable lines. The reliability of the system in the Saba Feeder in thecondition before being reconfigured, with a SAIFI value of 3.02 interruptions in one year, the SAIDIvalue is 9.28 hours per year, while for the CAIDI value is 3.24 hours per one time, which is notcaused by maintenance. PT. PLN Persero regulated in SPLN No. 59 of 1985 and the target of PT.PLN PERSERO to achieve WCC or World Class Company standards, namely the value of SAIFI 3times interruption in one year, SAIDI 3 hours of interruption in one year and CAIDI value of amaximum of 3 hours of non-availability of electricity to customers. So the value of SAIFI PenyabaSaba before reconfiguration is in accordance with PLN standards, while the value of SAIDI andCAIDI Penyaba Saba conditions before reconfiguration is still outside the PLN standard to achieveWCC. Therefore, a network reconfiguration was done to improve the SAIDI and CAIDI values in theSaba Feeder to conform to SPLN No.59 of 1985. After the network reconfiguration of the Sabafeeder, changes in the SAIFI value, SAIDI and CAIDI on the Saba Feeder could improve, with theSAIFI value namely 2.73 disturbances per year, SAIDI value of 2.98 hours per year and CAIDIvalue of 1.08 hours per customer, so the reliability value in the Saba Feeder can be said to bereliable because it is in accordance with SPLN No. 59 of 1985.

Abstract

Nonlinear loads are harmonic current sources for utilities. High harmonic levels greatly increase the loss of electrical energy. The quality of electric power is determined by the parameters of power losses that appear in the electrical system of BIMC Nusa Dua Hospital due to harmonic distortion. In this study, THD analysis was carried out based on the results of measurements and simulations according to the IEEE 519-2014 standard, analysis of power loss due to THD current due to non-linear loads, and analysis of power loss after installation was carried out. Active filter, calculation of the working capacity of the transformer before and after installing an active filter.

Abstract

The types of filters used to reduce harmonic distortion are passive filters, active filtersand hybrid filters. The type of filter that usually uses the system controller is an active filter. Inthis study, an analysis of current harmonic distortion from the simulation results using matlabhaccording to the IEEE Std 519-1992 standard in existing conditions, active filter operatingconditions, active filter operation using PID controllers and active filters based on Fuzzy LogicController. The simulation results of the three models used show that the resulting THDii stillmeets the IEEE Std 519-1992 standard, namely the THDi is still 8%, the simulation results forPID-based active filters are: pasa R = 2.89%; S = 2.34%; T = 3.23% and based on fuzzy logiccontrollers are: R = 0.15%; S = 0.11%; T = 0.13%.

Abstract

Harmonics are disturbances in the electric power system in the form of distortions incurrent and voltage waves caused by the formation of waves with a interger multipliedfrequency of the fundamental frequency. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is the amount of theeffective value of waves affected by harmonics that affect the occurrence of electrical powerlosses. This study discusses the analysis of current THD in the lecture building at the Faculty ofEngineering, Udayana University, Jalan PB Sudirman. The simulation is carried out underexisting conditions and when operating an active filter will show the results of the THD currentthen adjusted to the IEEE 519-2014 standard. Then an analysis of power losses due toharmonics is performed. THDi in the existing conditions for phase R = 15.44%, S = 15.6%, andT = 11.42% while the active filter operation is at phase R = 2.41%, S = 2.69%, and T = 2.99%.Power losses due to haronisa interference under existing conditions were 12,6 % and on theactive filter operating conditions were 0,037 %.
